She was being awakened for a while now and already left the factory to take a roll around the forest. She enjoyed to be by herself in the mornings and mostly she made a walk if she waked early enough, before the leader started to organize the patrols and other tasks. Sighing she got to the meadow which was her very favorite place, it was a beautiful and peaceful place to relax and do nothing. The meadow did have a good place to catch some rabbits too and she thought maybe she could actually see if there could be some long-eared prey to be jumping around, the clan could not like if she got back without no prey or anything at all.

He flicked his ears after hearing some talking, blinking his eyes as a fresh smell of stranger cat comes to his nose, he lifted his head up to see what was going on there. Sitting up he looked over at Oilclaw with this odd she-cat he was never seen before, but it seemed like Sootstar let her be there as the leader was being walked away from the two.

She sighed a little annoyed, she didn't really like it when she needed to think what to do or what they could train at "well...um...I don't know...hunting is just fine I think" she meowed simply.

"That's so cool, how'd you learn?" Ebony enquires. This clan had legitimately impressed her, which was something she never thought would happen. "Do you get taught the same way an apprentice gets trained to be a warrior?" She was brimming with so many questions about everything, this clan was so new and different from all the others! Learning more about them would help her on her travels, but what were the chances she'd stumble across such intriguing cats again?

Oilclaw purred with pride, “I learned from my mentor, he taught me everything I know.” He started to lead Ebony to the machine room, “Yeah it’s pretty similar, not every cat here is an engineer. I’d say most are forest cat or warriors as some say. Instead of learning how to hunt and fight I learned how to repair the machines and keep them running. It’s a lot of work but it really pays off when we have heat for leaf-bare and lighting during a new moon.” He stopped at the entrance of the room listening to the machines hum. “We’re pretty lucky that our ancestors found this abandoned two-leg factory.”

Ebony blinks, her ears perking at the unfamiliar buzz emitting from the machines. "Wow, that's great! What else can they do? How do they work? Can I see these, uh, machines?" She looks at the tom, hopping around with excitement. "How hard is it to learn? Since you weren't taught to hunt or fight are you able to do either?" She couldn't contain herself any more, she wanted to ask as many questions as possible before her inevitable banishment.

Oilclaw nods, "Yeah I can probably show you inside one of the broken ones. We mostly get heat and light from these machines other ones we're still trying to figure out what they do." his tail twitches in amusement watching the she-cat's excitement. "I wouldn't say it's hard to learn but this is what I was trained to learn, I have some fighting experience but no where near a warriors level. My role was to learn about the machines."

Ebony hums, nodding in understanding. It was interesting, meeting a cat who lacked skills in combat. What if she was bad? She could easily take advantage of this situation. Well, it wasn't like she was exactly good either. She lets out a soft chuckle, amused by her own thoughts. "How do you work them? How do they work?"

The leaves under her paws crunched and broke apart as she ran through the trees of the forest, the cold wind blowing past her fur in protest, yet she picked up speed. Her target only a breath away, that of a meager brown rabbit, fleeing from its attacker, despite its efforts at trying to escape, Jadetooth took a final push to tackle her prey to the ground. Moments later she held it limp within her jaw, starting her short trip back to the factory. She had already woken up at dawn, seeing the lack of prey within its pile, she shortly decided to get a few hunts in after her patrol. With the season only getting colder, the clan needed all it could get.

Oilclaw let out a hum, as he started over to a broken machine. "If you poke your head in over there," her said gesturing to a small hatch, "You should be able to see what's inside. Don't worry this one has been broken for a while now, it's safe to look but you may get some rust on you." Stopping at the hatch he looked at Ebony, "Inside the machines they have smaller parts that all work together to make the machines run, sometimes one of them breaks and it causes the whole machine to break. It's my job to find and fix the problems."

Sootstar fluffed out her fur and looked towards the Machine Room, slowly getting more annoyed with the strange cat in her clan. She then turned her attention back to the entrance, when her deputy Jadetooth came back from hunting she may ask her to keep an eye on Oilclaw and Ebony.

Jadetooth walked along the familiar path that laid before the large factory, with all of its different residences performing their daily tasks like normal. At least, everything seemed normal. A feeling formed within her conscious, one that manifested from a foreign smell that caught her nose. She gave another look to her surroundings, proceeding to walk through the factories entrance, setting her hunted prey down in its appropriate pile. She caught the eyes of their leader, At which she turned to walk up to her side.
“Good morning ma’am, may I assume everything is running smoothly at the moment?”
She asked, her tone being flat and bare as it usually was.

Without hesitation, Ebony sticks her head into the machine. She peers inside, taking it all in. "Wow, this is so cool!" She stares, wide-eyed, at the complex components that Oilclaw had to work with. They were of shapes and materials she had never seen before! Who knew that cats would be able work these things? She withdraws her head from the machine, a grin on her face. "I'm amazed that you know how these things all work and how to fix them. Is it dangerous? Your role, I mean."
