The laid back tom let out a small sigh of relief and nodded at the tom. "You did well to stay calm." He meowed down to him, looking further down at the cats below him. They all seemed preoccupied and distracted. "Im glad you are okay, you did good considering this is your first time climbing, just be careful how high you go from now on." His ears flickered as he spoke, looking back over to the younger cat. "I think thats enough climbing for today though."

The clan born kittypet quietly followed the scent of the mouse through a few of the unfenced yards. She had not yet decided if she was really hunting the mouse or just seeing if she still had it in her to sneak up on something and catch it. She didn't need the mouse, her bowl in the two-leg den was still full and provided her plenty. So she decided she wouldn't kill the creature, just catch it. She crouched as she came closer to the scent, lowering her body like she had been taught by her mentor so many moons ago.

As Thrushcry listened to Ambershadow speak his fur bristled continuously. Especially when she spoke of the cat who had taken the life of his sister and mother, though to be more exact the one that had killed his sister. The attack had been done by multiple cats but he had only witnessed the death of his sister, Minnowflight. "I should hope so." He growled. "I disemboweled him myself." He hissed. If she were referring to another cat in the fight that was good but he would have preferred the kill them himself.
With that he watched as she attempted to leave, claiming the mouse as her own on the way. His ears flickered as he heard Shadefur steady himself and join him, facing off with the larger cat. Thrushcry listened to his yells but kept his eyes trained on the she-cat as she licked her wounds. He could hear the other tom being teased behind him and scoffed at the rogue's words silently in his head. Something else caught his attention though. Ambershadow's last words to him before she turned. He let out a laugh and almost couldn't stop. "Miss him? You miss that flea-brain?" He laughed again. "I forgot, I had heard you two had been close as kits before you began to blindly follow Driftstar." His eyes narrowed with a sort of malicious joy as he continued, the burning in his shoulders beginning to worsen. "Too bad for you though. I seriously doubt he even remembers you, let alone misses you. He is too busy with his new love interest." His eyes studied Ambershadow's face as he spoke, searching for any reaction. "He is absolutely smitten, always lovingly gazing at her and sharing his prey. They even shared a nest." He smirked. "Take the mouse you have no place in these territories anymore, you've been replaced."He spit the last word with a low hiss. He hardly even noticed Axel shift and begin to retreat as well. Every fiber in his body told him to chase them down and get his revenge but the blood loss and pain in his back was finally getting to him.

Nightpaw stalked her prey, her eyes focused on the warrior and apprentice as they spoke. She was still halfway across the camp by the time she lowered her body to the ground and slowed her movements. There were enough sounds and other cats around camp to draw any attention to her away; so, she was confident that even though she was in the open she could get close enough to make a running pounce and surprise the two. She had been wondering for a few moments now what the two could have been talking about, Nettlepaw had been acting flustered for a moment, which had caught Nightpaw off guard, before settling down and continuing to talk. Was it something serious? Or was Doeleg flirting with her? The thought left a slightly bitter taste in Nightpaw's mouth but she had never seen the tom socialize so much. They were close in age and had practically grown up together in the nursery but they were polar opposites in many ways. Was that what Nettlepaw liked in another cat? A shy and meek nature? Nightpaw felt herself needlessly getting overwhelmed and suppressed any further thoughts, focusing once more on stalking the two.

Her ears flattened for a moment at the distress that the missing warrior caused the leader. Dewpelt stepped away for a moment to go retrieve her apprentice. Quietly padding up behind Nightpaw, the silver warrior hoped to not break her focus at first. It was nice to see how playful Nightpaw still was even after everything that had been going on. Soon though, she hoped that the apprentice got what she deserved in becoming a warrior. "I apologize for taking you from your prey, but we are going on a patrol. Go get Blackbriar before meeting Sootstar and I." she spoke quietly to not startle the black and white cat. She smiled reassuringly, but let a gleam of excitement slip from her eye. Hinting at the surprise that was to come. Dewpelt made her way back to Sootstar and rested her tail on his back for a moment before curling it around her paws. "It'll be alright Soot," she commented quietly. After a moment though, she realized what she said and felt her face grow warm. "Er, I mean Sootstar... sorry..." she added sheepishly. Her tail tightened around herself as if she were trying to hide her embarrassment. No longer able to make eye contact with the strong black cat, she turned her gaze toward the nursery and watched the different groups of kits playing without a care in the world.

Every few steps the large tom would check to make sure that Ambershadow wasn't going to turn back to the unreasonable clan cats. It angered him that all they wanted to do was pick an unnecessary fight when they weren't causing any trouble for once. Axel could practically feel the taunts from the angry tom who had started the fight. Although it wasn't his place, it arose questions in his mind. Questions that he wasn't likely to ask, but they still took root in his head and sprouted nonetheless. By the time he reached the boarder, he no longer checked to see if his companion was still alongside him. If she were smart, she wouldn't go back. Not yet at least. The spotted savannah came to a little stream and he leaned down to lap at the cool water before he sat down at its bank. Running his tongue over the scratches he had received, he made sure that they were cleaned before he did anything else.

Aspenblaze listened to the small tom boast and let out a laugh. "Awfully boastful for a cat who cried out like a kit for their mentor a few minutes ago" he teased before turning his head to look down. "Let's get out of the trees and then we can hunt some more. There is nothing fun to do in camp right now anyway." He meowed and then tensed his muscles, leaping from the branch he sat apon to a lower branch on the tree beside them and scurrying down the trunk with ease. He turned to look back towards Palepaw. "Just climb down the rest of the trunk like you did before, if you fall from there I will be naming you Palefall or Paletree at your naming ceremony- you can forget about Palesun." He teased again, revealing that he had been listening in on the apprentice's previous conversation with Tealpaw. He then turned his gaze towards the other cats in their patrol. "Are you ready to continue the hunt Swifttooth?" He questioned.

She pounced, catching the mouse in her claws. She listened to the creature begin to squeak and cry out, not bothering to kill it. She had no need to kill and eat it when she had food in her two-leg den. She had just wanted to see if she could still catch prey despite her moons away from clan life. She let out a deep, prideful purr and continued to hold the mouse under her paws. The scarred calico finally let the creature go once she was satisfied and turned to watch it as it scampered hurriedly across the thunderpath.

The tom let out hisses as Ambershadow threatened the clan. If not for the fact she had the giant spotted cat as backup Thrushcry would have attacked again. However, the pain in his shoulderblades told him that an honest fight was not how to go about defeating the lumbering rogue. For now he was forced to watch them leave, his eyes not leaving the spot they had left through until he was sure they had not circled back for another attack.
Without them there his adrenaline began to wear off and he was suddenly aware of the blood loss and strengthening scent of blood coming from him. He remembered the fox carcass he had found with Blackfang and wondered if there were any foxes in the area still. They would likely come along due to the smell- as well as any other hungry predators. And yet he did not want to return to camp or care if they did. He needed to get rid of the rest of the rogues and any cat involved with them to avenge his family. That was the only thing keeping him alive.
He hissed as his body hurt and turned towards Shadefur. "Next time you shouldn't leave camp without a patrol." He growled and began to walk back in the general direction of camp. "The filthy rogues are getting closer and gaining in numbers." He growled to himself. He knew better than to go directly to camp, he did not was to leave a blood trail or scent directly to their temporary home so he moved in a roundabout way towards the small fishing pond to clean the blood from his fur. Before he made it very far he turned back to the other tom. "You should go back to camp and let Sootstar and the others know that Ambershadow has joined the rogues and she has found herself a large friend. I'll clean off this blood in the pond and be there soon." He lied.

Nightpaw frowned as she was forced to stand and stop her hunt for her friends. She would never find out what they had been talking about now, or if they had been flirting. She let out a sigh and turned to her mentor, only for the cat to already be leaving her side and returning to Sootstar. Nightpaw flicked her tail and silently retorted 'Blackbriar isnt even in camp'. She rolled her eyes and gave Nettlepaw and Doeleg one last glance before forcing herself to follow after Dewpelt. Whereas she normally would have been excited she just felt distracted and not very excited. The image of Nettlepaw and Doeleg still forefront in her mind.
As she reached the two cats she noted their awkward mood and felt her chest tighten again. She held in her urge to look back for Nettlepaw again and forced herself to keep her gaze forward. "Blackbriar can't join the patrol."He said simply, a bit of aggravation hinted in her voice. She was not very good at hiding her emotions and she was a bit irritated about being interrupted. "He said he might join us later on I think." She meowed, sitting in front of the leader and her mentor.

He carefully listened to his mentor suggest to how to do it, so he tried and this time he climbed up to the tree, so up as he could before started to feel a little dizzy so he made a look down to the dark tom. As the drama with the Driftclan cats was over she slowly followed after the large tom, a deep smile over to her face. She was pleased to this meeting with the Driftclan tom, as now she had a goal what she didn't have before meeting the clan cats. Now she was sure that she wanted to kill all the cats on Driftclan, youngers kit to an oldest elder, not leaving nobody behind, but doing so she needed more cats. She stopped to the stream next to the tom "I am surprised that you didn't run away? Why? We don't even know each other that well" she meowed walking into the water, to cool the newly made wounds.
