He licked his paw and brushed it over his face. "I'm definitely ready for today! I just hope my name isn't Paletail," the apprentice joked.

She pushed her busy and excited thoughts away, deciding that she was ready to start the day. Nettlepaw glanced over at her mentor when she thought she saw her shift, but her eyes were still closed and her breathing was still slow. She sighed softly and headed out of the den, wondering what Nightpaw was up to. Nettlepaw spotted the other apprentice by the exit to camp and watched as she played with Silverkit. A swell in her heart started up, and she couldn't help but smile at the two interacting. Before anyone could catch her looking, Nettlepaw wiped the smile from her maw and glanced around for other cats. She spotted Dewpelt and padded over, purring, "Good morning, Dewpelt! How are you?"

"I don't see any dangers in camp! Warriors are supposed to protect us," he argued. Amberkit was too young to understand that some cats lost other cats and didn't necessarily have a family, so when the older tom talked about having someone to return to he rolled his eyes. Amberkit twisted and turned when Thrushcry picked him up, but he was unable to slip away.

Glancing up at Creamflower, he purred and smiled in greeting while the others crowded around her. When Dreamkit spoke, Cedarkit only nodded. He finally spoke only to answer Dreamkit's question, although he didn't have a full answer. "I dunno, he just left and walked around the camp. I guess kits aren't allowed to do that without their mamas, maybe." Cedarkit turned when he heard another small voice and smiled at Mosskit, greeting, "Morning, Mosskit."

Creamflower listens to what Dreamkit and Cedarkit explained and rolls her eyes, looking in their direction to see Thrushcry carrying Amberkit back to the nursery. "Oh boy!" she said. "Goldeneye is definitely going to have to have a word with him when she wakes up! But you are indeed correct Cedarkit. In DriftClan, kits are not allowed outside the nursery without a queen present to watch them. Its only because we dont want either of you to get hurt or others to get hurt. After all, you along with Goldeneye's kits are the future of DriftClan. Maybe one day you all will play an important role to our Clan's future!"

Still curled up in her nest, Copperlily sighed. Various noises in the camp had woken her up and she knew that her day had begun. Choosing to ignore that fact, the soft brown cat flicked her tail over her paws as she closed her eyes and acted as if she were asleep once more.

Turning her attention away from Sootstar, Dewpelt turned to the medicine cat apprentice. "Hellow Nettlepaw, I am alright. Just thinking about telling Sootstar about Nightpaw's upcoming warrior assessment." she answered. After a moment realization dawned in her green eyes. With a sheepish smile, she added onto her previous statement. "Don't let that slip to her. I know how you two are," her voice had a playful tinge to it as she spoke. Dewpelt turned her attention back to her apprentice playing with the kit for a moment before looking over to Sootstar to see if he was still talking with Swifttooth.

With a long and luxurious stretch, Axel leaped down out of the large tree that he currently resided in. It had been a few days since he had seen any other cats around, but he didn't mind all too much. He was amused to hear of confused, scared, and angry clan cats after his antics in the territory about a moon ago. Making his way across the short distance to the nearby creek. After lapping up a few mouthfuls of the cool water, he kept an eye out for small fish swimming in the gentle current. A few minutes later, he was successful in his quest and ate his reward in fish.

"Hey Mudpaw!" he called. "With all the chaos in camp this last moon, I didnt realise we've barely trained! What do you say we practice fighting techniques with a couple other apprentices? I'll see if Swifttooth wants to watch."

"Looks like I should start the patrols huh?"He gave Swifttooth a side glance before heading towards the Big Oak tree, flicking his tail for the sea cat to follow him.

Mothkit slowly awake up and takes a look around, seeing that most of the other kits were up. She decided to pretent to go back to sleep for a moment longer till her mother woke up herself.

Fadekit snuggles against his brother and rolls his eyes upon hearing Dreamkit teasing them abit. Soon he heard Creamflower wake up and great them. A smile on his face he greets her back.
After a moment of listening to his family talks be puts in his own comment. "Maybe, but this is also Thrushcry too. He is kinda a grumpy cat most of the time."Fadekit tries to stay away from Thrushcry unless he manages to catch him in a somewhat decent mood.

Creamflower listens to her kits talk about Thrushcry and shrugs, not sure how else to reassure her kits. "As far as I know," she said. "Thrushcry has been through a lot, but he wasnt always like this. It was after he lost his mother and sister that he is always angry. I think hes having trouble finding peace within himself. Hopefully overtime, he will find the happiness he deserves. I do feel bad for him. It must be hard losing family that youre so close to."

Nightpaw was happy when the kit decided to play along with her after all and smiled down at her before nodding at the kit's instructions. The black and white she-cat turned her back to the younger cat and sat down, allowing her tail to lazily swish behind her as she waited. When she thought enough time had passed her let out a meow "Ready," she mused.
It was true this was an attempt at getting the kit distracted from her urge to wander but Nightpaw really was using the time to train. She dug her claws into the ground and swiveled her ears around, trying to sense where the kit was at any given time. She happily waited to see how the kit would approach. It was a bit hard to hear just a single kit amongst the commotion of camp though.

The tom grunted at the kit while he squirmed and argued in his maw, making it difficult for the tom to get a gentle grasp on him. With his mouth full he padded his way back towards the nursery where he was met with more curious gazes. Thrushcry's tail flickered behind him as he saw the kits with their siblings, a dull ache in his chest burning at the sight. He hated hearing and seeing the kits, they brought back too many old memories of his sister, Minnowflight and himself. 'The sooner this is over the better,' he thought to himself as he finally entered the den. He looked for Amberkit's nest before dropping the kit in with his sibling and mother. He frowned as he pawed fur from his mouth and glared down at the kits. He had heard their little conversations and found it a bit funny they found him scary. Never in his life had he ever thought he would grow into a warrior kit feared. "You all should listen to Creamflower." He huffed, sending Amberkit a quick scowl. "Even if you don't see dangers they are always out there. You are not allowed to leave the nursery without Creamflower or Goldeneye. I don't have time to kit sit and there are always hungry hawks circling camp just waiting for kits like you to venture out."He added, figuring scaring them into listening would be faster, especially for the stubborn ones. The brown and white tabby then sent a questioning glare towards Goldeneye, wondering how the queen could sleep through her kits wandering off. He then stiffened as he heard Creamflower talking to her own kits, sending her a rather nasty glare. "Mind your own business Creamflower, I don't need your pity." He growled before turning and leaving the den, his anger now boiling.
