A pretty tortoiseshell she-cat slept in a tree in Driftclan's camp, it had been a moon now and her infected wound had fully healed. During her stay the pirate cat learned a lot about the clan and how they lived. She learned every cat's name in the clan and had grown fond of the clan cats despite her love of the sea. She woke up with sunlight dappling her fur, after stretching she looked down from her perch on the branch. She was looking for Sootstar to give him her choice.

Silverkit's eyes slowly dragged themselves open, a yawn accompanying as she stretched her front limbs out, feeling soft cracks down her spine that cemented her awakening. She slowly made her way out of the nursery, eyes already flaring mischievously as she made her way towards the edge of camp, being as discrete as possible. It was her plan to sneak out so she could look around the territory. It wouldn't be long now before she became an apprentice, and she wanted to be ahead of the game when she started her training. She'd already been trying to work on her hunting technique, but it proved to be incredibly difficult without a mentor to teach her between right and wrong.

The ginger and white tom lazed in the warrior's den not having the want to venture out into the clearing yet. He knew as soon as he did he would be placed on another repetitive patrol or ordered to mentor Palepaw- two things he didnt feel like doing. His amber eyes were half lidded as he stared at the den's wall, watching an ant crawl around on the wood. Aspenblaze found ant's quite pitiful, they always seemed to be working, never having any fun. They were also incredibly easy to kill. 'Poor busy body.' He thought to himself as he used a claw to squish the bug in half. One ant often meant more to follow and he didnt feel like sleeping in a nest full of ants tonight.

Nightpaw had been up and about doing her normal apprentice duties when a silver pelted blur caught her attention. The black and white she-cat watched as Silverkit 'descretley' made her way through the camp. A small smile growing on her face as she realizes what the kit was doing. "Morning Silverkit!" She meowed as she playfully bounced between the kit and the exit she had been eyeing. "Out playing a bit early arent you? Patrols havent even gone out." She mused, a friendly grin on her maw.

The tom had been growing increasingly and increasigly frustraited with Sootstar. It had been a moon since the tom had announced they would be fighting the rogues to get their territory back and nothing had been done. The brown and white tabby had been holding back his griefs towards the leader due to Blackfang's company but he had had just about enough. This morning he had awoken and decided he would confront the leader, however as he had been making his way across the cleaning from the warrior den a small kit had caught his attetion. Thrushcry's frustraitions would not be held back by a kit, but he also knew better than to just let the small tom wander off from his mother. So thrushcry paused and made his way over towards the kit, his eyes sharp and fur bristling with pent up anger. "What do you think you are doing out of the nursey without your mother?" He growled, glaring down at the tom.

The scarred up calico once again sat on her fence, debating weather ot not today she would venture into the forest to visit her and Russetnose's secret spot. It had been a moon since she had learned the tom had become deputy of driftclan and that Driftstar was dead. The tom had asked her to visit the secret spot but she had not. She had thought about it many times but she had not been able to make herself do it. She had second thoughts about trusting Russetnose's story and intentions constatly. She would never admit it but she was afraid of getting her hopes up.However a small part of her wanted to go. It wanted to visit their secret place atleast once, just to see if he would be there like he had promised. The only problem was that Ember knew there was a chance that she could run into other clan cats or rogues. Although she herself had been a clan cat for most her life her moons as a kittypet had dulled her wild edge and she was not confident she could protect herself if she was attacked. So, for now she sat on her fence, weighing her risks as she stared across the monster path into the forest.

Eyes widened when a cat appeared in front of her, quickly recognizing it to be Nightpaw. Her ears pressed against her skull, a frown finding her features as her tail lashed anxiously from side to side. "I was just goin' for a look!" She started, an exasperated expression on her face. Things had been incredibly sad and then incredibly boring for her since her mother and brother succumbed to greencough, especially before the other kits had been born... but even then, she was so much older than them. She'd be six moons in just a couple days, which means she'd finally be old enough to become an apprentice. "You could go with me! I promise I'll stay out of trouble! Pleaseeeeeee." She quickly started to ramble, just a flicker of hope circling her eyes.

She decided that it was time to Sootstar what she decided and climbed down. She passed a brown and white cat she learned was called Thrushcry scolding a kit and normally she wouldn't let a cat scold a kit harshly but she wasn't even a member of Driftclan so she just glared at the tom as she went past. She had also spotted Silverkit trying to sneak out and gave a playful glare at the naughty kit and found Sootstar at his den. "Hello Sootstar." She nodded her head in greeting.

Nightpaw listened to the kit's desperate plea and shook her head. "You and I both know that I would be turned into freshkill if I just let you out of camp." She mused with a frown. Nightpaw was certainly known for her troublemaking but she was no mouse-brain.
She shifted her stance and lowered her head to nudge Silverkit back towards the camp."There is plenty to do in camp that wont have us picking fleas off the older cats if we get caught." She added, glancing around the clearing for something she could use to help entertain the kit. "Once you become an apprentice and I become a warrior there will be plenty of time to explore the territory." She said as she stoof back up and swished her tail at the kit. Suddenly her canary yellow eyes widened with an idea and she looked to the kit. "How about you help me practice some moves for my assestment?" She asked, a playful gleam in her eyes. "Maybe Sootstar will see and know youre ready to be an apprentice too?" Nightpaw hoped the kit would agree so she could have a bit of fun, and keep Silverkit in camp at the same time.
