Sootstar just flops to the floor and takes a moment to groan, not caring if he was acting like a kit himself.
"Russetnose.... save me." He stares up at his friend and gets ready to tell the story on what all has been going on.
"Took Doepaw out for his assessment, dog attacked him and I attacked the dog. Got Doepaw back to camp while only losing a claw and got a scowling from Copperlily as usual. Goldeneye then came to my den and starts chewing my ears of, understandably. Theeeeen she went into labor in my den."He let's out a breath and just looks a bit helplessly at Russetnose for a moment.
"Feel like I lost a life honestly." His ears twitch at Copperlily's remark. But all he could muster was an eye roll before turning his attention back to Russetnose.

Goldeneye curled up to her kits for a little while before deciding to more. "I can't rest knowing I have to move them" she told Creamflower. "Can you help me move them into the nursery so that I can rest? I feels like someone tore into my stomach" she started to groom before wincing again.

Russetnose couldn't help but bellow out a large laugh at his friend. "Wow, you sure seem to have had quite the day, Sootkit" he poked fun at Sootstar for flopping like a kit. "Well, it seems like the worst is over right? Doepaw is getting treatment. Copperlily got to train Nettlepaw more in the dire of situations and Goldeneye got to put you in your place and she gets to sit comfy in your den until she can move" he flashed a toothy grin towards him. Russetnose then started to act like he was checking over Sootstar for his lost life. "Oh no! I knew this day would happen!" he pretended to cry out "Sootstar's losing a life over stress. I knew it would kill him!". He nudged him. "Oh wait, is that a gray tuft?" he play nipped Sootstar's head.

"Hey! Who's calling who a kit now Huh Russetkit?Sootstar playfully swipes at Russetnose, aiming for his head as he let out a small laugh, enjoying the moment with his life long friend.
But he knew Russetnose was right on a few things. Doepaw was safe and was going to get better, Nettlepaw got some important training in and Goldeneye got her revenge by birthing a litter in his den.

Copperlily gently looked over the kits to make sure they were healthy. Stepping back and gathering leftover herbs, she smiled faintly. "Congratulations Goldeneye. Don't feel rushed to move, Sootstar can wait for his den." As she exited the den, she noticed Sootstar laying in the center of camp. "If you stay there too long, someone will think you're a rock and sit on you." she commented sarcastically, almost as if checking up on him in her own way. She went back to the medicine den with a warmth in her eyes that told the others that all was well. The medicine cat was sharp and sassy, but she secretly did have a soft spot for kits.

As she sat grooming her fur, Dewpelt paused as Russetnose and Sootstar began to play. Her whiskers twitched in amusement and she moved so that she could watch the show better. Seeing the two toms playing like the old friends they were was heartwarming enough for her to forget everything for a moment. She went back to grooming her silvery fur but kept an eye on the two to make sure that they didn't do anything stupid.[wb]

There was suddenly a lot of commotion and she stayed out of the way watching all of it, or all that she could see anyway. She then picked up the scent of kits and knew a queen just had kits. This was a strange group of cats but maybe it wouldn't hurt to stay awhile. She then looked as Sootstar playfully swatted at another cat and watched with some amusement.

The tom remained silent when the she-cat spoke, only sending her a brief glare and thrashing his tail out as she spoke. He waited as she caught a mouse and offered it to the now mewling kit. If they hadn't been a duck in sitting water before, they sure were now. Eagles and hawks would be closing in on the sounds if they hadn't already noticed them. He was growing more and more uneasy as the minutes passed. Where had Roseflames gone off to anyway? She should have come back to the patrol after finishing off her solo hunt. Though the cat was nowhere to be seen still. Had she fallen victim to something all on her own? A dull throb of worry tried to etch its way into his brain before he reminded himself she had gone off on her own by choice. If she had gotten into trouble that was her own problem at this point, he had enough troubles right in front of him. "Let's hurry then, no telling what else can smell all this blood."

Ember suddenly felt a gaze pierce her fur and she turned towards Roseflames. The other cat was far enough into the bushes that she could not see her but Ember knew there was a cat there now. Ember shot a glare in the direction of the gaze and her fur bristled. THe calico lifted her nose but the wind was not on her side and she could not make out the scent of the cat either. She didn't like the idea of any unknown cats being around, especially with the chance of the cat being one of the aggressive rogues. There was nothing she could do for now though aside from stand her ground and glare.

Time seemed to go extremely slow and fast all at the same time. She struggled to focus on any one worry or event going on. Having something to do had helped her ground herself greatly, however. She had helped Copperlily carry Doepaw as gently as she could, not wanting to hurt him any further. She wasn't particularly close to the quiet and skittish tom, but, he was the apprentice closest to her in age so she had known him all her life. Seeing him harmed was like seeing a littermate harmed in an odd way, though she had no siblings she could actually relate the feeling to. The fluffy cat quietly sat in the corner of the den as more cats filled the log. She didn't want to be in the way and Copperlily ensured the cats that he would be okay. She wanted to believe in the medicine cat but the nagging memory of her mother's death gripped her hopes and held them submerged in a sea of doubt. Had the medicine cat said the same thing about her mother or had there been no hope for the wounded she-cat? A solum grimace grew apon her face and she diverted her gaze down to her feet. Suddenly as the tom opened his eyes and called out the name of his previous mentor she felt her stomach lurch. She didn't want to be here anymore. The smell of the herbs and blood suddenly overwhelming her senses and leaving her feeling sick. She stood and slipped behind the cats, grateful for the distraction of the deputy as she escaped the den. Had her mother called for her when she had been in pain? Had she called for the tom that was Nightpaw's unknown father? The unknown was haunting to the apprentice and she found herself darting into the apprentice's den to escape from the thoughts. She huddled up in the large empty den and covered herself with her tail, trying to block the imaginary sound of her mother calling for her.

Aspenblaze's speechlessness began to wear off as he listened to Emberhaze, annoyance quickly replacing his surprise. She was a beautiful cat but had an ugly personality as far as he was concerned. His complements for her were usually shallow and appearance-based and he found no real joy or entertainment in teasing or flirting with her. As such he cared very little for her opinion on the matter of the patrol. In fact, he would have rather gone off into the forest with Copperlily of all cats than her.
So, as she finished insulting Sootstar he composed himself and began to speak again. The tom smiled down at the she-cat, his face morphing into an expression of understanding. "I see. You're entirely right. A beautiful and delicate she-cat like you belongs here in the camp, not out in the forest chasing after a dog. I wouldn't want you snagging a claw or misplacing a single hair out of your sunkissed fur." He mused with a sicking sweetness. "I don't know what Sootstar was thinking either. Any rational leader would keep you close to camp at all times and away from the dangers of being a warrior." His charming smile remained as he took a step closer. His bright amber eyes gleamed down at the ruddy colored female's green gaze."It would be such a shame if you were harmed. The clan would be losing it's most breathtaking beauty." He observed her for a few moments before pulling his face away and turning, letting his tail sweep under her chin in a tender motion. "Stay here in camp then, I'm sure ill manage on my own even without you. Keep your pretty little paws clean and be a doll, let the others know I'll be back." He mused, looking over his shoulder as he began to walk away. "This is a job for a warrior, not you dear Emberhaze." He added before making his way out of camp.

She watched the stranger cat for a moment, but as she was a housecat there was nothing for her to worry about. So she silently got to her paws and half ran to the place she got separated with Thrushcry and Blackfang, either of the two cats was not there anymore, so she thought that they maybe got back to the camp. She walked into the camp seeing the Aspenblaze flirting with Emberhaze, rolling her eyes she really didn't like the tom, it not like he was not handsome and nice, but being so flirtatious she could never truly trust him. If he was her mate, she could die for stress as she could only think if he was cheating her or not, shaking her head she walked to the group of cats there "What's going on? Did something happen to Doepaw?" she asked at the first cat which was the closest one.

Goldeneye smiled to Creamflower. "Who knew I could love something so much? They're all so beautiful" she mewed quietly unable to speak up due because she was so exhausted. She started to groom Amberkit before picking him up in her maw. "I'll go find someone to help us" she murmured through her kit's fur. Her golden eyes adjusted to the lighting as she went outside of the leader's den. "Hey, Dewpelt! Can you help us bring my kits to the nursery?" she happily asked while holding Amberkit. "O-Oh and you? Can you help too? Four kits too hard to move with just me and Creamflower" she mewed to the strange looking she-cat near the warrior den.

Russetnose smirked toward Sootstar. "Hey! I haven't heard my kit name since my mentor scolded me for flirting with all the she-cats during training. Whitewind always thought I was trouble. Always a grump that tom. May he rest in Starclan" he mrrowed a cheerful laugh. He closed his eyes as Sootstar playfully swatted at him. He quickly returned the favor by doing the same to Sootstar. "Okay, Okay, so what's the plan now?" he calmed down and started to groom his unkept fur.
