The day was good. There wasn't too much for Copperlily to do since she had gone out early in the morning to collect herbs before Nettlepaw was awake. Although Nettlepaw had to hold down the fort while she was gone, all was well now. The soft brown cat now sat in the back of the herb store, cleaning dusty old herbs out from the back where herbs and seeds would pile up when breezes blew into the den just right. Listening to the young apprentices talk, she brushed the dust past the two with her tail and out the entrance.
"It is simply a different mindset than you are used to Nightpaw." Copperlily replied as she came back, taking a seat near the apprentices.
"Learning what some herbs do is good for anyone, not just medicine cats. Anyone can learn if they are interested enough." Although she was known for her sharp tongue, those who were around her enough knew that she was mostly looking out for everyone. Ever since she had taken on Nettlepaw as her apprentice, it was almost as if she had gotten Nightpaw as well since the two were together so often. Since her previous apprentice had passed on from a fox attack moons ago, she was watchful of the young cats, even though she was technically only responsible for the one.

Having been on an early morning hunting patrol, Dewpelt hadn't been able to find her apprentice yet to see if she was ready for training. She knew that it wasn't too big of a deal since Nightpaw had been doing very well recently. Scanning the camp for a minute to see if the black and white apprentice was in sight, she was unsuccessful. Taking a mouse from the growing fresh kill pile, the silvery grey warrior sat to eat a quick meal. The day was good so far and she wasn't worried about too many things going on. She had noticed Sootstar talking to an unfamiliar cat but she decided that it wasn't any of her business, even though she would be more than ready to ask Sootstar about what it was all about if she could muster up the courage. Dewpelt ate quietly and quickly, almost as if she didn't want to disturb anything that was going on around her. Whether it was a conversation between her clanmates, or a butterfly flittering through the trees. There was nothing quite as nice as being able to simply be a part of the day.
