Quailpaw had been so absorbed in her catch that she didn't notice her mentor Sedgebird behind her. She flicked her tail gently from the tip, and set the squirrel down for her mentor to sniff at it. She pricked up her ears when her mentor brushed upon the warrior ceremony."Very well caught, Quailpaw. You know, you're due to have your assessment soon. You're about of warrior age now." Quailpaw blushed slightly, before touching Sedgebird's shoulder with her tailtip. "Thank you Sedgebird. You're a great teacher." She then added, "About the assessment, do you know...how it is going to work? Do I have to fight another cat or apprentice? Or will it be different?" She had heard from her father Snowthicket that the usual assessments involved a fight with another apprentice.

Creamflower notices Oxstar following a scent trail and decides to stick with him, following instructions obediently. She smells a mouse and assumes thats what hes after, if they can find it that is. "Ill go with you Oxstar." she volunteered. "After all, you said to go into pairs and thats exactly what Im going to do."

at thornkit's question she shook her head. "you can eat the rest of it outside of the den, i don't need to coop you up any more than i already do." the queen said in response to him. she dropped the carcass outside the den entrance and sat a few pawsteps away from it. "see, there is so much to see out here than that of the den." she added as she began to groom herself. "now eat your fill if you haven't already then i'll allow you three to roam around camp a little." she explained before adding. "supervised of course."

the tom at first had not noticed that creamflower had followed him. he continued to pad through the territory following the scent of the mouse until she spoke up regarding his words. the black tom turned his attention to her for a moment. "alright then." was the only words that came to him before he went back to focusing on his task. it didn't take him long to finally pinpoint the location of the rodent and he dropped into a hunter's crouch. stalking forward slowly, being careful of his footing, he moved forward fluently until he sprung into action and made the clean kill.

the steady jingle of her own collar was growing to annoy her each time she jumped somewhere. usually she paid it no mind but today it seemed to make her wince with each sound. she was bored and also now alone. she had only simply wanted some conversation but she supposed that in itself was too much to ask for around this area. she did wonder who the cat she had met was though, he seemed friendly despite his clan mates behavior. she did slightly feel bad that she had gotten him into trouble somehow? lucy was slightly irritated that the fresh minnows were wasted, that in itself did leave her a little unsettled. food was food in her mind.

Creamflower nods and follows Oxstar towards the mouse scent, finally hearing a few squeaks from the mouse. She watches as Oxstar catches the mouse swiftly, smiling. "Nice catch!" she said. She suddenly picks up the scent of a rabbit, hearing small pawsteps immediately after. It didnt take her long to find it as she immediately stalks it, watching carefully for the direction of the rabbit's ears. Wherever the ears point means thats where the rabbit is looking. As soon as she is within striking distance, she immediately sprints towards the rabbit, giving into chase. As she as she is close enough to the rabbit, she uses a paw to trip it and grabs it as soon as it falls. Snapping its neck, she gets up and pads back towards Oxstar, the rabbit still dangling in her mouth.

The young tom let out another huff. He couldn't really ague with her... he wanted to be outside. He just... didn't want others to see him. He couldn't keep up with Rinekit, and he couldn't play very rough with Mosskit. What was he supposed to do? "I'm not hungry anymore." Thornkit mewed out, shooting a glance at the rabbit. He plopped down in the snow next to Dawnfeather, giving his legs a break. His amber eye looked up at her. "Is there anything fun to see?" He questioned when she offered for them roam around camp. His gaze drifted to Meadowjade as she padded towards the fresh kill pile, dropping a shrew off. What was it like going out into the forest? To go out and catch fresh kill? He hoped he get the chance to find out, but four moons seemed like forever! "What if we played a game?"

Braveheart stalked out of the warriors’ den and sniffed the clean air. Suddenly, she heard a loud roaring noise that startled her and she jumped back half a tail length. Soon, she realised what it was as she saw a huge metal bird flying straight towards the sun. Her eyes widened as she sat down and watched it fly over the camp — wondering why this particular bird is so big and why its wings don’t flap.

She watched after as the patrols one by one left the camp, making the camp getting more quietly, only the kits were there doing something. Sighing she stood up and wondered if she could go for a hunt now when she really didn't know what else she could be doing. She was hungry but didn't really see it as a good idea to go to eat now, when she had done nothing to get something to full the fresh-kill pile.

He watched as the she-cat walked away, feeling little annoyed and confused 'what that supposed to mean? she wanted to know my plans and then left like nothing really matters?' he thought to sigh, giving a few licks to his front paws 'well whatever' he thought annoyed. He watched as Meadowjade walked into the camp with some prey, making him more excited to go out for a hunt too, maybe that could be better than sitting around doing nothing.
