Badgerstrike dipped his head at the she-dog and approached the two pups speaking, lowering his head to try and be on their level. “You’re doing a great job keeping the younger pups distracted Nightpaw.” He said quietly to the pup. “Could the two of you prepare bedding for the dams together? I’m sure Fallensnow would appreciate it.” He asked the two with a small smile, hearing a bit of their conversation amidst the chaos. “Emberstorm is lucky to have such a capable apprentice. In fact I think you can be trusted to have an omega under your care outside of camp, as long as you don’t stray too far. Stay within 3 fox-lengths of camp at least since Daisypup will be with you as well as Lillysnap. That way you’re within earshot.” He said before raising himself and looking over at Lillysnap and jerking his head towards them. He knew it wasn’t as far as she wanted to go but it would be a nice way for the three of them to get some air with the suffocating atmosphere growing.

Lillysnap quickly padded over to where Badgerstrike motioned. Her tail wagged eagerly at the opportunity to get some fresh air out of the camp. Most warriors would probably groan to deal with such young pups but Lillysnap loved the young ones. Though she could be serious when she needed to, the little terrier preferred the immature playfulness of pups. "Thank you, Badgerstrike," she said, hopping on her back legs to give him a quick lick on the chin. She panted with excitement, the thought of going outside the camp for the second time in one day made her jittery.

He looked over at the sound of pawsteps and saw the biggest dog yet approach him and Daisypup. After hearing his praise and the mission he looked over at Daisypup and said "Hear that?! We get to leave camp and help Fallensnow. Hopefully we'll find Emberstorm too."

“This is great! I promise I’ll be careful!” The she pup said smiling. Maybe Nightpaw could teach her to hunt something like a mouse. She felt that after Fallensnow had taken her in she could at least catch something. It didn’t have to be big like a rabbit. “This is like a very important job! Moss grows on trees. Shouldn’t be too hard to get enough.” She added. I feel like an apprentice doing her first actual mission! She thought, tail wagging fast at the thought of doing something important.

He nodded to Lillysnap "Hello Lillysnap." Then turned to Daisypup again " Hey good job Daisypup, see you already know a fact that an apprentice would"

“Really? Wow! I bet I’ll make a great apprentice at this rate.” Daisypup said. She was still torn between leaving the pups and Fallensnow or going outside for fresh air. The camp smelled awful so she was glad the pups weren’t awake to smell the scent of death.

Lillysnap lashed her tail excitedly. "Let's go, guys," she barked with a happy grin. The two young dogs talked a lot of apprenticeship and Lillysnap thought she could learn something from Nightpaw too.

“Do you think I could catch something out there for Fallensnow? She’s been so kind to me and after just having her own pups I just want to bring back something for her.” Daisypup said as she walked out of camp resisting the urge to run out. She also wanted to catch something for Mouseheart, even if he did want to be alone she thought he might appreciate a bit of fresh kill.

Eaglepaw nodded furiously, though he still was a bit fuzzy on how they were going to catch it. Duskpelt is here, and she can catch ANYTHING, he thought happily. He followed her to the next bush, and peeked through the foliage to look at the deer again. It was just so pretty. And, of course, lots of food! he thought. Eaglepaw made sure to stay quiet, however, and had stopped his aimless chattering. He really, really wanted to catch the deer. He tried to position himself into a crouch, like Duskpelt had taught him, but Eaglepaw had the distinct feeling that he wasn't quite doing it right. This did not, however, diminish an ounce of his excitement.
