Xyli spun around and watched horrified, though she was already to far away to help. she silently cursed her hooves for running, and watched as the scene unfolded....

Night wished thunder would hurry. the pain was horrifying...he didn't want to put anyone in danger but himself though, so he was glad no one came up to fight this leoprod. "oww...." he said.

Thunder whimpered and nodded, he took a deep breath then let out the fiercest roar he could do.
(haha I name her father Fang okay? Cus I'm tired of saying "Whispers father")
Fang lept back off Night fur bristling at the roar, he turned tail and ran off scared that something larger was going to get him.
Whisper rushed to Nights side as soon as Fang had left, "Night?" she whispered scaredly.

Night's eyes were closed, and he wasn't breathing. total blackness....no! he had to live for his kits! he wished he would breath. he was whooping into the dizzy world....
"whisper...I think he's...he's dead..."
night thought harder about how to breath, suck in the air...but he wouldn't. his body was weak. whisper couldn't think he was dead!

Whisper felt the tears rush to her eyes "no Night, please don't go..." she whispered and nudged him gently wishing he would live.
Thunder whimpered and cuddled close to Whisper.

Whisper lifted her head as his chest heaved "N-Night?" she whimpered.
Thunder looked at Night hoping he would breathe.

no...thinking about life wasn't enough. love? whisper cared about him, more than anyone he was sure, for his mother and father had always been harsh. he had to live for that cat. his nostrils flared, breathing in the warm air. but it was wonderful...sweet...air....he breathed again, and again...he was alive!
