Leopardleg blushed a little at his words. "U-Uh thank you..." she looked away from him. "I think the rivers calmed down enough for me to step in it". She cautiously walked into the river. The spotted she-cat stayed still while waiting for any sudden movement. Her gray eyes focused on a bass moving slowly in the water. Leapordleg leaped at the movement and watched as the fish swam away. "Aw man" she splashed the water in frustration.

Honeypaw nodded to him. She sat down next to him shyly. "Uh.. What kind of prey do you prefer? I don't mind anything as long as it doesn't have feathers. Those things get stuck in my teeth all the time" she pouted. The she-cat stared at the prey. She saw sudden movement. "Eep!" she stumbled backwards and stared. "T-Theres something moving in the prey.." she hid behind her paws.

Stormymask saw her flush and grinned. He followed her to the river, his grey tail low. He crouched beside the river, sniffing it's surface. As she smacked the water, he felt flecks of water land on his pelt. He flinched at it but chuckled, "it's nothing to get super mad over, Leapordleg. It's just a fish. This river is filled with them." He still say close to the water's edge, careful not to get swept into it. He watched her closely, watching the waves of water that approached. If one of those currents were to drag her down, he'd go down with her. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if he didn't at least try to save her if something like that happened. He lept out onto one of the furthest stones, crouching on it carefully, all four paws close together. The water licked his tail, but his eyes stayed on the water, a deep dark shadow tracking below him. He was careful, staring at it as it surrounded the stone. Either it was a big fish, or it was the reeds. If he swept down with a paw and got caught up in water reeds, he'd be a goner. Swimming was not what he was good at.

She fell quiet and had already walked away, glancing back at her mate to see him and his apprentice with Roseflame, a small bit of jealousy spiking upwards and she shook it off within another moment when she noticed how guilty she looked before she remembered that Russetnose had been on a patrol with Roseflame when he faced the fox.

The loner hadn't ate much for a while, wanting to leave everything that she knew behind, and the two cats she would her parents. The young cat scented so many different cats, so she decided to go towards it, and she turned, unaware of exactly where she was heading. Her stomach rumbled loudly, causing her to flatten her ears and she hoped she would find something soon. The thin pale calico heard a splash, and immediately followed it. She had learned that where's water, there's fish. She froze when she found the water source, along with a couple of much larger cats. She couldn't fight and she knew it, if she tried to run, they could catch her. This is what she gets for not eating for a while, isn't it?

Despite what happened, I am thankful that he created this clan." It was hard to explain but he was the reason the clan was here. "He was very charismatic and seemed like a decent cat. He did have his good points as well." Her tail gave a small flick as she noticed her grandson talking to Creamflower before he seemed to excitedly take off. "Anyway, many believe that he was working with the rogues that attacked our camp. But he was killed that night so no one was able to question him or find out for sure if he was."

I understand if he was some low ranked cat, but a leader?" he meowed looking at him, wondering if he was asking way too much.

"That's what I can't understand either. But he might have had reasons for doing it that we don't understand." She responded softly. "All that matters is that we are still here and the clan is thriving. Darkness may lurk in the corners but as long as there is light to combat it, then we will find a way to keep moving forward." The she-cat wished she knew why Driftstar had done what he did. It was all so confusing. "I was a loner before I met Driftstar. Many of the cats during that time were either loners or kittypets."
