The hulking queen dragged her paws up and under her, stretching with a mighty yawn. The day was too beautiful not to take a walk. The kits knew how to busy themselves, it certainly seemed. Leaving those three furballs to the clan for a while sounded both amusing and calming. She shook her pelt free of sand, picked up her nibbled at robin, and padded into the woods.

"I got up early!" He sits himself down right in front of the larger tom's paws, smiling proudly. "Did you have any patrols? Any hunting?" He sniffs his paws curiously, as if he could explore he forest by smelling it on Patchedheart's paws.

Marblekit scans the clearing for something to do, spotting her mother leaving camp. Well well well! That's soemthing to do. She skittered after her, careful to not get mud in her fur but also to stay hidden as she followed Thunderfall into the woods so far she hadn't been. She perks when she smells other cats, but they don't smell like her clanmates.

Timber’s ears perked, picking up movement not too far away. He opened his mouth and scented the air, visibly relaxing upon recognizing the scent. Falcon seemed to have noticed it too, instantly becoming alert. “There is someone nearby.” He said quietly. “There is nothing to worry about, Falcon. Come on, I’ll show you.” The older cat urged, slipping into the underbrush.

“What are you doing?” Falcon growled in alarm. He followed his uncle, despite his jittery nerves. Why was Timber moving towards the cat? Did he want to get himself caught? It just didn’t make any sense.

Thunderfall's ears twitched and she looked to the side, in the undergrowth. She set the robin down and fluffed a bit, already intimidating, but on guard. Hew nerves and haunches, however, relax once a familiar pelt comes into view. She chitters with delight and sits with her tail resting on her paws.

The large kit waddles through the ferns and has long lost track of her mother by now. Instead, she goes towards the scent of the new cats. Her fur smoothed, she listens to a calm cat and an agitated one chat before walking off, and quickly follows best her short legs can while not dirtying herself.

Timber purred with delight. “Thunderfall! It’s good to see you again. I’m sorry it’s been so long since my last visit.” He apologized, nuzzling into the molly. Falcon was looking at him incredulously. “This is my nephew, Falcon. I’ve told you about him before. Falcon, this is Thunderfall.”

Falcon glanced back and forth between the two, still wary. Why wasn’t he surprised? His uncle never cared much for rules. It made perfect sense for him to fall in love with a clan cat. The young tom sat down, glancing away awkwardly. “Hey...” He mumbled.

The tabby molly nodded, pressing her nose to his cheek affectionately to tell him she was happy he was here anyway, and nodding to the younger cat. Ah, yes, she'd heard much about the cautious Falcon. She did her best to look non-threatening with her size and scars by having a soft expression.

Marblekit hissed as she ran into one of the stinky cats' hind legs muzzle first. She whined and touched her nose, which stings, and her wide gold eyes are screwed shut. "Oof.." She huffed up at the bigger cat.

Falcon looked down, eyes widening. “Uh, did someone lose a kit?” He asked, not sure what to do. He edged away from the kit, growing more and more uncomfortable. Timber purred, clearly amused. “Well, what do we have here? Hello, little one.” He greeted, bending down to be at eye level with the kit.

Falcon watched the interaction, keeping a good distance from the little kit. It wasn’t that he was afraid of it. He just wasn’t used to kits. He had grown up without any siblings, spending most of his time with cats far older than himself. It made interacting with younger cats much more difficult for him.

With a shaky hiss, Thunderfall padded up and batted her daughter over the head lightly. She was worried about Sunkit sneaking out, then her levelheaded daughter decided to instead? Wonderful. Her thick tail twitched back and forth as she looked back at Falcon, nodding him over.

"Sorry! Sorry mama!" the smaller molly blinked and looked up at the new cats, snorting at Timber. "I'm Marblekit. Who are you?" She tried to fluff her marbled tabby pelt to look bigger, but it simply made her look like an overstuffed pillow

“I’m Timber and this is Falcon. We’re friends of your mother. It’s nice to meet you.” Timber replied. The little kit certainly didn’t act like her mother. He looked over at Falcon, urging him closer. “Come closer. She isn’t going to hurt you.”

Falcon snorted. “I know that!” He said quickly, moving forward to sit next to Timber. He kept a close eye on Thunderfall, still not fully trusting her. While he trusted Timber’s judgement, his uncle had proven to be a little too forgiving on more than one occasion. He glanced down at Marblekit, taken aback by just how small she was.

After a minute or so, she was calm again. Her whiskers twitched at his jumpiness, and she settled to lay with her paws tucked under her next to her secret mate.

The she-kit puffed out air and her tail lashed in an attempt to be aggressive. "I can hurt you!! If I want!" she growls but is batted into the sand by her snickering mother. Her pelt fluffed with indignation. She hated getting dirty... and embaressed!!

minkfoot looked up from his grooming in mild surprise as he heard emberstream's perky voice. after blinking idly for a couple moments, her words seemed to process, and he replied softly. "oh, i'm doing alright. slept in a little, is all." the faint beginnings of a smile ghosted on his muzzle as he mewed, "and how about you? although i see you havent been awake much longer."

"i'm here, i'm here!" scorchfang yelped, her fur still messy from her sleep. she huffed and puffed, scrambling to a stop beside her apprentice. she frowned as she shook the moss out of her pelt, seeming to scold herself under her breath.

"sorry deadpaw, i went out hunting late last night and i suppose i slept in!" scorchfang chuckled, trying to relieve the tension, but still ducked her head in shame. while she wasn't usually the kind to feel embarrassed, messing up so grandly in front of an older warrior and her apprentice definitely made her flustered. "if you'd rather go on patrol, i understand."
