"Oh, nothing really." Ice wasn't sure if she should tell the fact that she was going to be staying here as an apprentice, so she let the fact drop.

"I know I can't wait! I wonder who my mentor will be. Maybe even Pebblestar! What an honour that would be." Whitekit mewed excitedly, trying not to jump up and down.

"oh, you will be an apprentice? Thats kinda... cool..." Ice decided to ask him. "Whitekit, whats the Warrior code? I mean, its a dumb question... but I haven't heard of anything like it..." Ice wished she could melt into the ground.

"It's not a dumb question. You're new, how would you be expected to know?" Whitekit mewed. "The warrior code is the, well I guess you could call them rules, that Clan cats live by. I know it off by heart now! Do you want to hear it? well, if you join the Clan your mentor will teach you." He quickly said, worried she would feel bad to say no.
