Feathermist dropped her head. "Okay." She meowed in defeat. This was the cat who had recommended her as a warrior. "And, I-I'm sorry. I let you down." She stumbled over the words.

"Honestly," mewed Moonsong. "I don't think this punishment is fair. You were looking out for the clan." Her blue eyes twinkled. "When we get back to camp, ask Badgerfang about Pebblestar and the dog. But don't tell him I told you." she looked around. "Where's Ivyleaf?"

Eaglekit smiled. "Furball. Its going to be Eaglepaw! I'm not a warrior yet!" He lept for her tail.

Ice felt like she was walking on air. She walked over to the fresh-kill pile and began to munch on a small mouse. This was, in her mind, pretty cool, although she would never admit it. "Hmmm... I heard them talk about the warrior code... wonder what it really is..." She looked around for someone to talk to about this.

Whitekit padded out of the nursery. He was the odd one out in the nursery, except for Tinykit who hadn't been seen for a while. He saw Feathermist, head low in defeat, like he'd never seen her before. As an apprentice she'd always been happy, ready to go and full of life. Now she seemed like a corpse. Moving and breathing, but not whole. He saw Ice and for a moment wanted to scream You caused this! But suprised even himself and padded over to the loner"Hi."

"Hi." Ice realized that Whitekit didn't like her. But maybe he knew about the warrior code... "So uh, your that cat I saw earlier, right?" Ice clawed the ground slightly, feeling awkward and out of place. Where she was from, cats usually weren't so... nice to each other...

"yeah, you wanted to speak to Candykit." He struggled to keep a pleasant tone, it wasn't her fault she'd messed up the lives ofalmost every cat in the Clan. "So... What's up?"
