Blindpaw had the breath knocked out of him as the large dog crushed him and Devilpaw.

"Merow!" Devilpaw choked out and slashed the stinking dog with all she had. But her claws got caught in it's matted fur. "Help!" she cried trying to rip her way free.

Coyotefang snatched Flamekit from Sagefeather. "BACK TO THE NURSERY, NOW!!" he hissed.

FlameKit got more frightened, but now of his father. He turned and ran, but not into the nursery. He ran into a bush, shivering.

Coyotefang sighed, but let Flamekit stay in the bush since it was far enough from the dog. He whipped around and gave the terrier some strong lashes.

FlameKit stuck his head out of the bush, then looked around. He desperately meowed for his siblings.

Willowkit noticed Flamekit's mewling. She swiftly ran over to him. "What is it?" she whispered keeping her voice down so her father couldn't hear.

FlameKit purred, "I was trying to help daddy gather us." He whispered back searching for the rest of them.

"Shrubkit's already in the nursery," Willowkit mewed. "But – where's Lavakit? Have you seen him?"

FlameKit shook his head sadly, "No one has." He mewled looking at CoyoteFang.

Shrubkit had heard the mewling and darted out of the nursery and skirted the camp's edges until he was face-to-face with his siblings, "Is there anything I can do for you?" he asked.
