Coyotefang let out a yowl of pain. But instead of shaking him off – he let Snake stay. This might give Magmastar a chance to escape, or at least avoid Snake's deadly claws.

Devilpaw had her mother cornered and drew in a long hiss. "How dare you! You knew what you were doing the first time you came here, You caused my clanmates harm and now this!" Her amber eyes narrowed into slits, but Duskfury dropped Snakekit holding a clawed paw on his tail. "Ha! This runt isn't going to be here much longer," Duskfury purred and then drew a lazy tounge over her other paw before drawing it over her head. "Snake and I shall rule and nothing you do will stop us," She purred. Devilpaw bared her teeth, but found she couldn't harm Duskfury. And Duskfury knew it too.

Magmastar saw Coyotefang with Snake. She swatted Snake off with a single blow. "NEVER touch my mate!" She snarled. She turned and saw Devilpaw with Duskfury. She ran to Devilpae's aid.

Devilpaw nearly gasped as she watched with horro as Duskfury raised a clawed paw in the air as though she were going to hurt Snakekit. "No!" She yowled and tackled her mother. "Snakekit! Run!"
