Foxpaw continued onward his nose twitching slightly. He could pick up a faint scent of prey. His ears twitched and he began to follow it. Only to freeze in his tracks as Lilypaw continued on. "Of course. We've gotta stick together you know." he said with a sly grin. He tilted his head and listened as Lilypaw continued. His ears pricked as she talked about having a mate. His whiskers twitched. He could tell that Lilypaw probably wouldn't mind having someone that worried about her. His tail twitched as he questioned himself at the apprentice's words. Would he want a mate? "I'm not that interested in having a mate.," he said though hesitantly. The thought scared him. Him? A mate? She didn’t want to look like a fool in front of Foxpaw though, she stalked it, until she caught sight of it in a clearing. Foxpaw watched as Lilypaw stalked a bird. His tail twitched. Hunting birds wasn't the easiest thing to do. He watched silently, so he didn't scare the bird away. He watched as she just managed to clip the bird's wing. However, it made such noise that he was sure any prey nearby had scattered. "Well, there goes the rest of our prey." he said with laugh. His whiskers twitched as he padded over to join Lilypaw. "Nice catch though." he said with a smile.

Of course, he was not one to jump around celebrating a successful hunt. He remained standing there for a moment before padding over. "I'm sure he will. Wanna, go back and show him?" he asked swiping his tongue over her ear. He knew this catch would mean a lot to her, so he wouldn't mind heading back, so she could show it to her mentor.
