“Quiet doesn’t mean soft,” Whisperpaw replied boldly. “Goldenfinch is kind of shy, like me, but he’s incredible in combat.” The young molly smiled at Harepaw. “I do have a lot to learn from Ashfall, but don’t sell yourself short, either. The way you just adapted that move taught me something, too; you’re almost a warrior yourself,” she encouraged. A little more shyly, her voice softened as she continued. “And if it’s worth anything, I think you’re a great warrior already. You work so hard, and it makes me want to work just as hard,” she said, looking up at him with an unusually determined look. The apprentice quieted, having spoken more words at once than she had said all day yesterday.

Rosepaw shook her head as if to clear her thoughts, attempting to focus purely on the herbs. After a short while of organising she noticed a large gap in her supplies "Mouse-dung!" She spat at the realisation that she was low on supplies of both watermint and tansy. Rosepaw immediately abandoned her cleaning and peeked out from the den, scanning the camo to see if Honeycloud was anywhere in sight "Coast is clear" She muttered, slipping out from her den and slithering out of camp "I hope.." She continued her fast pase as she hobbled into the forest, focused on simply getting in, grabbing the herbs and getting out. As long as she didn't run into anyone, whether that be a cat from her clan or a rouge, she'd be fine. Rosepaw held her breath as she weaved in between the trees, attempting to fight back the fear. She was hardly ever let into the forest, let alone without a warrior beside her so the fear of being caught by some warrior from her own clan was what filled her with the most anxiety however, The smug look on Honeycloud's face if he were to find out was one of the main reasons.

the tom turned to look at his apprentice for a moment as they left the camp. "we'll be hunting, yes. you need practice, that is quite obvious but you aren't horrible so don't take that as a bad thing." the bengal explained to her before turning his attention to their surroundings when they were far enough away from the camp to even consider there to be prey around. "find a scent and follow it." he explained to the young molly, nodding his head to let her take the lead in searching for a piece of prey.

Nature eyes narrowed as she averted her gaze to Rosepaw, tensing in her position. The cat was small and young, had to be an apprentice. The cat wasn't with a warrior, but an older apprentice almost fully trained against her didn't sound so fun. There was a slim chance the she was a medicine cat apprentice, but she didn't want to risk it. She slithered down onto a lower down branch and sat, glaring with curious eyes. What she was doing intrigued her, to sneak away from camp without an older cat to protect her when they were so close to enemy cats? Perhaps she thought the forest would be unoccupied as it was the opposite direction of the border close to the camp. Nature hopped along the branches, she was normally quiet and stealthy but couldn't help but tread heavily to alert the apprentice of her presence.

Light flooded Nightblaze’s vision as she emerged from the den and she blinked rapidly a few times before adjusting to the change. She could tell many of her clan mates were already awake by just glancing around the camp. Flicking her tail in annoyance at the fact she must have slept in late, the she-cat continued to pad out of the den and headed over to her favorite spot to wake up. It was her favorite spot due to it providing a great few of the whole camp which meant full view of all her clan mates that weren’t out. Nightblaze started grooming herself as she watched mentors and apprentices meet, clan mates chat, and a few others eating. The sight of fresh kill made her mouth water a little and her stomach rumble rather loudly, making the warrior feel embarrassed but she just kept grooming. Maybe skipping meals sometimes wasn’t the best idea but Nightblaze couldn’t help it with the prey slowly dwindling as it is. The she-cat wanted to make sure her clan were able to eat and not go hungry before she would eat. Giving her paw a few more licks, Nightblaze narrowed her eyes slightly as she thought about what she should do first in the day. Since she didn’t have an apprentice to train or anything, the warrior wasn’t left with much other than go hunting or converse with one of her clan mates. Noticing Honeycloud sitting not too far, she put down her paw and rose to her feet. She padded over to the younger tom before stopping in front of him and looking up. “Good morning, Honeycloud.” She greeted and dipped her head a little before continuing on “How has your morning been so far?”

Rosepaw leaned her head down to sniff a small bush of tiny waxy green leaves, she hopped up with a contented hum"Well it's not tansy but I can always do with a little extra thym-" She cut herself off as footprints sounded behind her. Rosepaw let out a quiet yelp of fear, grabbing a bunch of thyme before diving straight into a bush beside her and peering out.

Honeycloud stretched quickly as he saw Nightblaze approach him. The She wasn't much older than him, and that eased his mind. He nodded his head in respect to the warrior, his tail curling up. "Nightblaze, good morning." he gave a huff of annoyance in response, his head rising up as his arrogance took a hold of him. "Exhausting and infuriating, I had to deal with a condescending mousebrained kit that would only patronise me and waste my time." he let out an uncontrollable low growl, the thought of Rosepaw sickened him. He wasn't sure how he had created such a rivalry between the medicine cat apprentice. "How has your morning been so far? I noticed you haven't had any prey yet." he asked curiously.

She leapt out towards Rosepaw, landing on a low-hanging branch just about supporting her weight. She smiled at the apprentice. Her eyes narrowed but in a friendly and fun way. "And what's your name, young 'un?" she questioned, her eyes growing with curiosity as she lay down on the branch.

Wrenfoot was a pretty serious cat most of the time; a blank look on his face followed by short and often snippy responses. He was never like that with Goldenfinch or his apprentice, he wouldn’t dream of being cold to either of them. The annoyance radiating off the golden tom’s pelt made him smile warmly and chuckle. “Anything for you. Sounds like you need to clear your head. Honeycloud can’t bother you for not being useful if we do.” So they’d been at it before even leaving camp? Perhaps it would be better for him to avoid both cats for a while, no point in picking sides if you didn’t have to. “Where to?”

Praise should make him feel better, confident or reassured about himself. Though it made him feel bitter, knowing he’d be better if his mom and sister were here to support him instead of strangers. “I didn’t say anything about me lacking skills, I just don’t find us the most compatible. I’m more like Ashfall, that’s all.” He grumbles, leaping upwards and landing on all fours, braced for movement that wouldn’t come from the ground. If he was really on another cats back, he’d be clawing for his life. “And when I’m deputy someday, I’ll be sure to assess every warrior closely so I know the best mentors. Knowing everyone’s strength and weakness, forming perfect patrols to back each other up...” He was a good cat, he knew that. With some patience, maybe he’d make leader someday.

Nightblaze's eyebrows raised a little at his sigh of annoyance and listened to his rough morning. She would have rested her tail on his shoulder for comfort but she didn't know if that would be okay. Perhaps it was because she didn't know him well enough or maybe it was his authority. "I am sorry you had to deal with something like that so early already. Hopefully this kit will grow out of it when they get older and learn some respect." The she-cat replied, hoping her words would calm him down some. Nightblaze's tail twitched and she was a little taken aback at his observation skills considering she didn't think she was the one also being noticed. "Ah, my morning has been good so far. I am a little annoyed that I slept in but it happens every once in a while. But yeah, I am not really hungry so I can pass on some pretty for now." The warrior replied, glancing off to the side before looking back at the deputy. A little like never usually hurt anyone and it's not like she was starving or anything yet.

"I don't think getting scars from calling someone a fox-heart is as honorable as getting scars from a battle," Ivystar snorted. The leader had a few scars herself, but none of them were overly large or grotesque. Her most prominent scar was two scratches that lined on her flank from a previous battle some twenty moons ago. She also had a small nick on her left ear, but otherwise Ivystar was relatively scar-free. "Don't make any kit-like decisions now," she teased, "I don't think you'd want me to delay your ceremony when you're already getting close!"

Hollypaw jumped a little as she felt a tail on her back. She wasn't used to receiving affection like this, but as she turned her gaze to Snowpaw's, she could see the concern in his eyes. "I don't know," Hollypaw said, shrugging her shoulders, "Sometimes he's nice, and he's really good at teaching me how to fight. I'm not the best fighter, so I'm glad I have a mentor who's really good at it, but I hate it when he gets mean." The apprentice hesitated a bit before adding, "I don't know if totally getting away from Honeycloud would work, but I think it would be fun if we trained together." Smiling, Hollypaw looked away, "I never get to train with the other apprentices, anyway, so it can get pretty boring."
