she-cat ~ leader ~ 62 moons ~ apprentice: duskpaw ~ tags: duskpaw
With the morning sunlight filtering through her den, Ivystar awoke from her slumber. With the notion to take on another day as the leader of LightClan, she slowly rose to her paws. It was still taking time for the she-cat to realize that she was now the one leading the powerful, extraordinary Clan that she had known and served for all her life. Each day it took her a moment to realize that she wasn't deputy anymore. Ivystar no longer needed to organize patrols every day, report to the leader, or really do any of the tasks she was so accustomed to doing just a few moons ago. That was now Honeycloud's job.
Although her deputy still needed to grow a bit more, she was confident that he would flourish as deputy. His bold confidence and his excellence as a warrior were attractive traits to Ivystar, and she thought that if he was given responsibility, that it would give him the chance to grow and refine the skills he possesses.
Ivystar slowly stretched the sleep out of her legs, and her green eyes narrowed as her vision adjusted to the light when she stepped out of her den. She scanned the camp clearing and noticed her apprentice, Duskpaw, conversing with Rosepaw and Honeycloud. Duskpaw had been made her apprentice when she herself was deputy, and now that she was leader, the young tom now had the distinction as the leader's apprentice. She didn't mind juggling leadership tasks and an apprentice. Duskpaw was nearly done with his training anyway. He was twelve moons old and had been training under Ivystar for a while, but as mentor she still felt that he needed more practice with certain things.
After Honeycloud and Rosepaw exited the camp and left Duskpaw alone, Ivystar decided to approach her apprentice. Walking across the clearing, she put on a smile and began to speak, "Morning, Duskpaw," she said, then nodded at the camp entrance, "I see that they left you in a hurry."

she-cat ~ apprentice ~ 11 moons ~ mentor: honeycloud ~ tags: open
The fluffy, white she-cat awoke from her sleep. After rubbing the weariness from eyes, Hollypaw rose to her paws and slowly climbed out of the apprentice's den. Glancing around, she noticed that her mentor was nowhere to be seen. Tail flicking, the apprentice assumed that he was out on patrol or taking care of something. She knew that he could get busy with being deputy, so sometimes she didn't see him until it was time for them to train. Stifiling a yawn, Hollypaw slowly made her way to the fresh-kill pile and picked up the back half of a fish. It was relatively small, but it would fill her stomach. Setting her meal on the ground, she crouched and bit into the flesh, the juices spilling into her mouth and gracing her tongue with its characteristic flavor. Hollypaw loved fish, even more so than voles. It simply had a certain taste to it that made Hollypaw crave for all the time. Not bothering to notice any of her other Clanmates waking up, the apprentice munched on her fish quietly.
