Thistledawn - Warrior - StormClan Camp - Tags; Open
Thistledawn, while she certainly wasn't the first warrior awake, managed to drag herself out of her nest before a few of her other denmates. She squinted as the harsh sun met her eyes, allowing them a few seconds to adjust to the sudden brightness. She padded a bit further into the clearing, not wanting to keep any groggy clanmates from leaving the den, and sat down to groom her mottled fur. Her ears flicked and swiveled to catch the sounds of birdsong all around, the peaceful sound helping her wake. Today seemed like it would be a calm day, aside from the increased patrols. She hoped she would be sent on a border patrol. Thistledawn was curious to see whether the Twolegs were really gone or not. Once her fur was finally smooth again, Thistledawn rose to her paws and padded up to her nearest clanmate - Sweetcloud - to try to strike up a conversation before patrols were assigned.
"Good morning, Sweetcloud!" Thistledawn called out as she approached. "Are you doing well?"
Pinepaw - Apprentice - StormClan Camp - Tags; Open
Pinepaw crawled out of the apprentices' den soon after, his head down and eyes half-closed. He plodded to the fresh-kill pile like that, his tail dragging through the dirt, and swiped a mouse from the dwindling pile before flopping down to eat. As he ate, Pinepaw slowly began to perk up, until his pale gold eyes had their typical glow about them. He swiped the little bones of the mouse to the side and then began to groom his fur down, glancing up every now and then to see who woke up next. He hoped his mentor would wake up soon!
Flashbang - Rogue - Forest - Tags; King
The rowdy calico was at the edge of the forest, crouched behind a bush as she glared into the greenery before her. Her ears and paws were singed from the fires, and she still had a few good scratches from her latest 'disagreement' with some mangy furball. "C'mon, girl! There's no where else!" Her stomach was twisting itself in knots. She hadn't eaten much after the Twolegplace burned down - there wasn't anything left to find, and hunting never was really reliable, and pointless now. Still, she couldn't quite work up the moxy to set paw in the dreadful place. Even from her hiding spot, unfamiliar scents from the forest reached her nose, promises of new experiences she never wanted. "Oh, why'd those stupid Twolegs have to burn the whole place down?" She thought crossly, her tail lashing. But, it was the forest, or nothing. Flashbang slithered out of the bush, hissing quietly as the twigs scraped against her singed ears. With a final glance to the blackened Twolegplace, she steeled her nerves and padded into the forest.
It wasn't long before she spotted another cat in the forest. It wasn't like he was trying to hide, his head high in the air. What was he doing? "Hey!" Flashbang barked. "What do you think you're doing here?" It was then that Flashbang remembered that this wasn't the forest or her territory. For all she knew, this guy was one of those clan cats she'd heard whispers about! Still, she held her ground with a scowl on her scarred face, though much more anxiously than she would have liked.
Zima - Loner - Forest - Tags; Open
Zima wove her way through the underbrush, doing her best to ignore the empty hunger in her stomach. She hadn't managed to catch anything since the last sunrise, and it was starting to take it's toll. Still, she had a bit of pep in her step as she went, enjoying the sights of the forest she'd always wondered about. Zima wasn't sure how well she'd fare without her housefolk, but she wouldn't be sitting around moping over their abscence, especially when faced with such green grandeur. Sighing, Zima sat down on the forest floor to catch her breath, sweeping her tail through the leaves just to generate some sound. It was so...quiet, in the forest. She's never realized how loud the Twolegplace was, and how lonely she'd feel without the constant noise, until it was gone.
