Snowblossom looked over the camp. She saw Coal, she saw him licking his prey. Hmm.. She had never thought about warming her prey like that. But it made sense. Thats how mothers warmed their kits. She thought this was interesting. She walked over to the fresh kill pile. Yep. It was really frozen over. She grabbed a small piece of prey. And padded over to where Coal was. She laid about a tail length away from him and also started to lick her prey. The ice shards made her tongue raw but after the ice was gone it was an easy job. She was excited about having a warm piece of prey.

He didn’t notice Snowblossom at first. Coal continued to groom on his prey until he decided to look up for whatever reason. He spotted Snowblossom, looked at her warily, then went back to licking. He could feel the fur raise on the back of his neck and along his spine. Why was she copying him? That what weird. Who even was this molly? The questions raced through Coal’s mind and he quickened the grooming to get it over with faster.

Snowblossom looked at the tom and said between licks. “This is a good idea. We should tell the rest of the clan about this, don’t you think?” She noticed he looked nervous, and her voice was soft and soothing. But not patronizing, she genuinely thought this could be useful in the cold months. Especially for the elders who were rather picky about the prey they ate.

It was lukewarm rather, but it was a vast improvement from frozen prey. “It’s not really anything that cool anyways,” he continued, more quietly. It was something his parents had taught him to do, he had figured many do the same thing. Coal took another bite. The mouse was stringy and the meat was dry despite him melting the water with his breath. What joys leafbare brought.

Ajax flicked his torn ear as he heard the sound of Sundown bounding after him out of camp. The bulky tom had to admit, he admired Sundowns persistence. The ginger tabby tried to spark up a conversation with Ajax by expressing the prey he wished to catch most, a mouse. A mouse seemed like a puny meal to the bulky rogue, then again he was much bigger than Sundown. "Hmm.. I think I would like to catch a nice big crow, if they have those in this snowy wasteland. They were always my favorite." Despite Ajax's usual uninviting demeanor when it came to conversation, the tabby was starting go warm up a little to the idea. He decided to ask Sundown a queston, "What do you think of the move here?" The battered tom thought it would be an engaging conversation to discuss the recent move, so he waited for a reply.

Dreamsky/Medicine cat/Location: Medicine cat den/Tags: Oddeyes

The fluffy white tom stared off into space as he sat near the herb storage's of the medicine cat den, thinking. He thought about all the new change's Flowerclan has been going through, and the hard winter that was chipping away at everyone's patience. He knew that a fight was bound to break out eventually between some rouges and some warriors, so he must be prepared. The tom began to put together some leaf-wraps, with the little dock leaves they had left, and in them he put some marigold, cobweb's and some other smaller herb's to help with more specific situations. He made around six, and decided that would be enough for now. The tom knew he should probably explain what these leaf-wraps were to Oddeyes, his medicine cat peer, so he turned around and made his way to oddeyes nest. The white tom with heterochromia was fast asleep, so it took Dreamsky a couple of nudges before Oddeyes finally awoke. "Hey, sleepy-bones," Dreamsky meowed playfully, "Get up, I gotta show you something." Without waiting for is peer to get up, Dreamsky slunk away and sat by his newly made leaf-wraps, waiting for Oddeyes to catch up.

In truth, he could rant for moons about how much he hated every little thing about this new life-style, but he needed to come off more collected then that. "Well, in truth Sundown, I am not a fan of this move. The hunting grounds are complicated and irritating, not to mention the constant winter. But what makes me the most angry is those flea-brained clan cats we have moved in with. They are all so posh and petty! They think they are so great when I could easily crush a majority of them under my paw. I dont see what Buffalo sees in them, but I respect him so I must respect his decisions. But I will never respect the Flowerclan cats." The tabby badger rank kept padding deeper into the Flowerclan hunting grounds, but kept his battered ears pricked for a response, or a possible retort, from his fellow hunter.

Snowblossom shrugged gently. “I think it’s pretty cool.” She has licked her prey quite a lot and it seemed as warm as possible. She took a bite, yeah. It was great. I mean, she wasn’t a very picky cat but she hated biting into ice. It hurt her mouth and tasted like water. At least now, the prey tasted like prey. She took a moment to chew and sigh happily. “That makes leaf bare easier to deal with. I don’t have to eat the ice.” She felt better about going on a patrol now. She would have anyway but it’s very depressing sometimes. All one color. Not much sunlight or warmth. But she could come back to camp for semi warm prey. It was worth it.
