Slateflurry didn't respond, but lashed her tail in obvious irritation. She held her tongue, knowing that anymore words that came out of her mouth would be emotionally driven by her frustration, and she wasn't all about that. She turned her back on Archstep and nodded to Hazefeather. "Guess everyone's here now. Let's go," she called out. "We'll be heading closer to the edge of the swamp- we can do some hunting there while we check on the borders. Stay alert, everyone. You all know how dangerous the swamp can be. She stepped forward to lead, glancing back to make sure everyone else was following.

Sighing wistfully at the retreating Whistlepaw, Jasperpaw trotted to the side and sat down. He glanced around the camp, spotting his mentor speaking with Laurelstar, and decided that it would be better for him to wait until they were done speaking. Laying his head down, he curled his tail on top of his paws, and observed the hustle and bustle of his clanmates.

Aspencloud nodded absentmindedly at her leader's advice, and padded away towards the medicine cat den. She could spot her apprentice's white fur from anywhere, but noticed that she was accompanied by the orange and black and white pelts of Blazepaw and Blastpaw. Aspencloud narrowed her eyes slightly, but made no comment. "Good morning everyone! Looks like there's a huge crowd here," she simply said, smiling warmly at the group of apprentices.

Pantherstrike sat alone, ears angling towards the entrance of camp as he sat alone. He opened his jaw and breathed in. He positioned himself into a crouch, a comfortable crouch, as his goals flooded through his head. Some might call them mouse-brained or ridiculous but she didn't care. His tail twitched and he turned his head around his shoulder.

Upon hearing the conversation exchanged between Archstep and Slatefurry, the apprentice let out a sigh of both relief and concern. Archstep had been defensive and snippy, but it didn't seem to be because of her mentor, but rather his attitude. I hope he's okay, Emberpaw thought to herself, glancing again at the male. With Slatefurry's warning of the swamp's dangers in mind, the young she-cat bounded forward, eager to begin the day. "Good morning Mintpaw," she greeted, glad to see another apprentice on the patrol. Emberpaw wasn't particularly close with the she-cat, but she enjoyed time spent with any clan member, regardless of their bond.

He narrowed his eyes at the sign of Slatefurry's irritation. She hadn't responded to him, which didn't help his mood or his opinion of the others. But he followed her anyways, making no comment. He was used to the swamp and knew what to stay away from. A small nick in the ear from being pulled out of a bog as a kit reminded him of that. He became less tense, thinking of this, somehow, and relaxed a tad as he padded alongside Slatefurry. His eyes drifted away from the group.

The jet-black tom was sat at the edge of the clearing, his ears perked. His one good eye gazed around, narrowed while his other stayed lifeless, the claw marks at its edges gleaming in the light. He swished his tail as he got up, shaking his thick pelt, while his claws dug into the ground. Sheathing them, he padded towards the tunnel exit of camp.

The young tom's yellow eyes burned with anger. He couldn't keep himself in camp much longer or he'd get in trouble. He stormed out of camp and to the nearest tree. Climbing up the tree he stretched his claws as far as they could go. It stung but it took his mind off the anger. He laid down on a branch and sighed. He whispered, "she likes him more than me. Face it Blastpaw. They know you're a curse."

She watched her clan mates curiously, seeing Wolfgaze padding out of the camp all alone and not so far when one of the apprentices hurried out as well. Flicking her head side to side as she was confused what was happened there, so she decided to follow "Oh dear Blastpaw, did something happen?" she meowed walking past the black warrior giving a smile, then stopped under one of the trees.

He gave one deep smile to the she-cat next to him, as he had a large crush over her, but for now, he was not really to admit it to her or anyone. He did want to look for a moment, before saying anything, maybe he was little afraid of being seen stupid or what if she dosen't like him back, it could be embarrassing for him.

She listened to the others for a while, before given a look toward the sleeping Snowkit, before walked out of the nursery. She was starting to get hungry and like mostly the apprentices was being too lazy to take her or any other queens any food, but it didn't really bother her that much as she could always go to get something to the fresh kill pile. Padding to the pile she chooses a bird, before noticed the lonely Pantherstrike there "Hm? If you don't have anything to do, maybe you could get some moss to my nest?" she meowed suddenly.

Opening her tired eyes she waked up to her dreams, at last, she gave a quick look around the empty den, which was feeling a little bit lonely now when then another elder with her was passed away. She rolled her eyes after hearing what Slateflurry was being said, she just kind of hoped to start this patrol so they could go back to camp soon. Her eyes looked to her den mates to the apprentice who talked to her "...Hello Emberpaw" she meowed simply, not really showing any interest toward the other she-cat even if she could.

He listened as the new leader organized the border and hunting patrols, flicking his ears toward his family after hearing his mother answer to either of his siblings. Turning to Sorrelkit as she was giving them a small challenge, which didn't really mean anything to him as he was already pretty much outside of the nursery. Standing up he got his tail all high, proudly "Eh, then does that mean won it" he meowed with a loud voice.

They seem to have the patrol under control, he noted to himself. Glancing around camp, things seemed to be moving pretty slow this morning. Tumblepaw approached the fresh kill pile and noticed it was kindve barren, meaning the hunting patrol hadnt left yet. He looked around, wondering if anyone would be open to hunting with him. He caught sight of Jasperpaw and began approaching him, hesitating for a moment. Sitting a tail length away, Tumblewing awkwardly sat on his tail and quickly re- adjusted himself. "Hey Jasperpaw. You uh.. Doing anything later?"
