The white cat almost purred in response as he dipped his head towards the leader before following his gaze around the camp, trying to act cool and collected, which he got points for trying. I can't believe I'm leading! Rainstar thinks I have potential! He thought to himself as he continued to scan around camp, although glancing at the leader and mimicking his stature and position.
"Sleep well?" The tom asked, trying to engage in some sort of conversation so it wasn't silent between the two as they waited for other cats to emerge from their dens. The warrior spotted a few apprentices about but their mentors weren't in sight which caused a silent huff to escape Swanheart's mouth.

"Is it really?" He said, his voiced laced with a bit of disgust as he looked out the den again. It seemed to be a bit of a bright day outside which wasn't his favorite kind, the apprentice enjoyed the sound of the rain drumming hard against the den and ground outside and the scent it left behind. If anything could calm the raging tomcat it was the rain.
"A little is an understatement," he added on as he looked back at her before making his way completely out of the den, squinting his eyes slightly at the sudden contrast. Once his eyes adjusted, he quickly turned to groom his short fur of any nest debris that could've gotten stuck in it while he had his fitful night. Scanning his eyes around, he made a small noise when he couldn't spot his mentor.

The dark tabby slowly blinked her hazel eyes open only to barely be able to see through the fluff of her tail that was curled around her. The she-cat was barely showing so many wondered why she decided to stay in the nursery instead of continue her warriors duties until she wasn't able to. The truth was that the molly felt too much shame to be surrounded by her fellow warriors, she wouldn't be able to meet their eyes just yet and the pain of the disappearance of her mate still hung heavy over her heart.
Sighing softly, the queen rose to her paws and did a small stretch as she looked outside the entrance to the den. Life was starting to happen around the camp and she knew that her mother would soon be getting up to join them. Hawkfeather then did a small murrow of laughter at the thought of her mother as the elder still had some fight in her, although at times her body did not always agree with her mind.

The elder laid asleep in her den, she had a rough night last night and it was decided that this was one of her not-so-great days.
