The thrill of battle raced through Darkfrost as he made his way into the camp. He was finally here. But he also felt something strange. It was strange to be back in this camp. He had left this camp so long ago. This used to be his clan. Or at least that's what he had thought back then. He never would have thought that his former clan would betray him. He hissed as he watched the Hazeclan cats fight against his rogues. He stalked around the camp looking for the kits. There was so much going on that he could only see but so far. The whole camp was full of fighting cats. His tail swayed as he watched the cats of Hazeclan suffer. They would never win this battle. They couldn't even take down a group of apprentices! he thought to himself. His ears twitched as he listened to the yowls, and screeches of fighting cats. It wouldn't be long before those kits of Ivybriar's we're his. They didn't belong in a clan like this. How humiliating that would be! A clan that was defeated by a group of rogues led by a former clan member. Darkfrost's amber eyes glinted as he narrowed them. He then continued to stalk around the camp searching for a cat to attack.

It had happened so fast that he thought he imagined it. One moment the camp was quiet. A moment later the camp had exploded into chaos. When the rogues, bounded into the camp it was like the world was ending. He saw cats running to take cover. To hide. To get ready for an attack. But he hadn't realized it until now. His green gaze scanned the camp as he saw his clanmates rush into battle. His paws seemed to stick to the ground as he watched the cats. He couldn't believe this was happening. But it was right before his eyes. It was then when sound rushed into his ears. The sounds of cats yowling. The sounds of paws pounding the ground. The sounds of battle. The sounds of a war against Hazeclan and the rogues. He watched the battle his ears pricked as the cats attacked each other. He didn't want to fight against these cats! He bounded off into a shaded corner of the camp his whole body trembling. He didn't want a war! He didn't want to lose any of his clanmates! But he couldn't just stay here and hide, could he? He didn't want to fight, but he didn't want to hide either. But he just couldn't bring himself to attack anyone.

Skyspring doubted that the rogues would attack so soon. She doubted that the rogues would know before a whole moon later. She doubted that the camp needed to be guarded. Oh, how wrong she was. As she hid, behind the nursery she saw the cats surge into the camp. Rogues upon rogues, upon rogues streamed out of the camp entrance. She gasped as she watched the group of cats raided the camp. But how? This wasn't possible! Was it? How did the rogues know? Half of her wanted to run straight into the group of fighting cats. But she knew she had to keep her post. She wasn't supposed to leave. She had to stay here and guard the nursery. Who knew what would happen if she left? She heard voices on the other side of the nursery, but she couldn't see who it was. She stood there glancing around the camp making sure no one tried to attack.

Thorn ran alongside the rest of the rogues as they raided Hazeclan's camp. He skidded to a halt as he watched the camp explode into battle. This was what he had been waiting for! A sneer was visible on his face as he began to stalk through the mass of cats. He made his way through the mass of cats his tail swaying. All he had to do was get his paws on those kits. Then, this battle would be over. Unless they, wanted to make it a little more interesting.

Spice's paws pounded on the ground as she raced alongside her fellow rogues. It was time to show those fox-hearts who those kits belonged to! Her claws unsheathed she bounded into the camp her ears pricked. It wouldn't be long before this whole battle would be over. She bared her teeth as a cat bounded toward her before it was lost in the mass of fighting cats. Her tail swayed as she stalked through the cats gazing around for someone to attack. Of course, she was also ready if a cat tried to attack her.

Liongaze || 36 Moons || Hazeclan Warrior || Clan Camp || Tags: Ivybriar and Mertenfang briefly mentioned, Wolfstripe, Fawnstar, and Darkfrost all heavily mentioned, Open

《 You see the tears you think I've cried. But find your fears aren't justified. 》

Cats were brawling all over the place, the scents of fear and blood mixed in the air, combining into a disgusting taste in my mouth. Every muscle under my pale fur was tensed up, almost aching with how much tension my body was holding, but the ache was at the back of my mind, hardly noticeable as I refused to let it distract me. Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, Wolfstripe spoke to the clan and my eyes widened in shock. I had never really liked the tom, something about him just did sit right with me, but this? I never thought he would be desperate enough to do this. A clan cat that did not trust their leader was hardly a clan cat at all, and one that struck the leader was just as bad as a rogue. Had he lost all sense of honor? Defend the territory not the kits? They weren't half breeds, their father had been a member of the clan, and their mother was still a loyal member of the clan. The leader would be on her last life now, what if she didn't make it through the battle? When Wolfstripe left the Fawnstar's body to enter the fray I wasn't entirely sure which side he would fight for as he disappeared from my line of sight. He spoke like he was loyal tot he clan, but not the leader. As far as I was concerned there could be no loyalty to one without loyalty to the other, but that tom clearly had things twisted in his head, there would be consequences for it later if he saw the end of this battle.

My eyes scanned over Fawnstar's body, searching for signs of life, for her to return for her last life. I knew she would fight until her last breath for Ivybriar and the kits and that was what I was afraid of. Without her the clan might further fall into division and even chaos. It wasn't that I lacked faith in Martenfang, I knew that if anybody could replace Fanwstar then it was her. It was just that the clan was already in a fragile state, just how much could everyone handle? Fawnstar was defenseless until she rose for her last life. I fought with myself between staying put and going to her, but I knew that if she had any say in what I did then she would want me to protect Ivybriar and the kits. That's what this was all about, not Fawnstar and how many lives she had left to contribute to the clan. It pained me to think about it as I had such a high respect for the leader, but I knew where my place was. I turned my head to look at the nursery behind me and for a split second my demeanor softened thinking about the fresh lives that were going to be born into the clan. I could not allow everything to be meaningless, so I steeled myself and turned to face the battle once more, my eyes searching for anyone who might stray towards me. A familiar dark pelted form came into vision and I followed his movements as he walked along the edges of the battle. The cat that was responsible for all of this, the leader of the rogues, a traitor to the clan, to Ivybriar herself. Darkfrost.

My gaze froze on him, molten fire circling within my gaze and blazing through my body. What would the rogues do without their leader? If he was eliminated then would the rest of the rogues leaves? Would they give up? Did any of them actually care about the kits or were they just doing what Darkfrost wanted them to do? Some of them I was sure didn't care what happened to the kits, they were just itching for a fight and he happened to be able to provide them with a target. A deep growl formed in my chest as a cold feeling settled in my heart, fire and ice mixing together as pure hatred settled into every muscles, every tendon, every nerve. My paws flexed, digging my claws deep into the ground and creating scratch marks. My eyes never left the dark tom as he looked over the battle. Would he engage in the fight, or come straight towards the nursery once he set his sights on it? What about Fawnstar? Would he track her down and try to finish her off? Was there anything he wouldn't do for the kits? I even wondered if he was kill Ivybriar for them if he had to. Did he ever really love her? I couldn't say what his true feelings for her were, but it didn't seem like he really felt anything for her now. It was a shame, she showed how much she loved him and how loyal she was as his mate when he left, but he threw it all away. I couldn't think of a good enough reason to let something like that go. Love wasn't something to dismiss, it was something to cherish for as long as possible.

Even when Darkfrost was part of the clan I couldn't say I was ever his friend. He was a fellow warrior and I knew him, but I never took the time to get to know him so I had no idea what went through his head. It seemed like nothing good went on up there though. This fight could still go either way, the rogues could win or we could pull through.
"Starclan help us. The kits belong here, I know it." My voice was a gruff whisper that I hoped the ancestors could hear. I wasn't expecting some miracle to be pulled off, I was just asking for a little guidance, for them to watch over us in our time of need. Even if there was nothing that Starclan could do to directly help, I was hoping they could at least guide any lost cats into their ranks and look over the cats that didn't lose their lives. Even if the clan did win, a difficult time was approaching. If we won I still had my doubts that the rogues would give up. they would likely just build up their numbers, recover, and strike again when they were ready. There were so many lives at risk. How many cats would I have to say goodbye to? I scratched at the dirt in frustration, hissing at a rogue that approached and lashing out with my paw, cutting open their cheek where my claws sunk in. They were quick to turn around and find someone else to fight in the battle. My shoulder was still bleeding, I could feel it in my fur, but it was a minor injury so I wasn't worried about it. I was worried more about my clan mates than I was myself, I wanted to be able to protect everybody, but I knew I couldn't, so I would just have to protect those that I knew I could.

《 The pain I feel not on display. An old excuse just one of those days. 》

《 I'm not always who you think I am. Sometimes I feel like I'm the renegade. 》

My attack was a success, forcing the tom onto his back with his back paws trying to find their way to me to shove me off. I didn't want this to be over yet. As his legs pushed at me I tried to work around them to get in some damage, but he was flailing so wildly that I couldn't aim a good shot at him despite his vulnerable state. Still I used my paws to bat at his face, claws unsheathed, but when he caught a particularly forceful blow to my stomach I backed off of him. Feeling my breath escape from my body I panted softly for a moment, growling in irritation. I wouldn't be able to waste any time next time I managed to get him off his feet I would just have to go in for the kill so he couldn't fend me off again. I did have to admit that I appreciated the fight he put up though, it made this much more entertaining for me. As I caught my breath I knew I was giving him an opportunity to get up and recover, but I didn't have much of a choice. Still I didn't express weakness as I flicked my tail up to where a warrior, I remembered him to be named Wolfstripe, had just taken one of Fawnstar's lives. Briefly I wondered what might become of him after this, maybe he would come join the rogues. I let him slip from my attention and flicked my tail back towards Eaglewing. "How many lives must be sacrificed for one foolish mother and her kits?" It was more of a taunt than a question. My words earlier had clearly gotten under his skin, maybe if I could make him mad he would start making mistakes int he fight.

Slowly I started to stalk around him, waiting for him to strike, waiting to see if he would make a move against me as I purred in amusement at the situation within the clan.
"Just give them to us. It would be so much easier. Forget about what Fanwstar wants, it would seem she can't keep control of the clan anyway. How many lives does she have left now? One? Tsk tsk. Why risk your life for her? Why not just give in?" Simply fighting wasn't enough for me, I liked to get in the head of my enemies, make them second guess everything, including themselves. It didn't always work, but when it did there was nothing better than watching them unravel in front of me. It took some extra time, but to me it was worth it. I only need to suggest certain things and then their own thoughts did the rest. Some cats had stronger wills than other, for those who could find it in themselves to just ignore my words...Well they could be a challenge, but at least I knew they could think for themselves. When I decided to stop speaking I also stopped walking and pounced forward swinging out with my paw and aiming for the tom's flank, mostly to see if he was still paying attention to the battle or if my little tricks had worked, causing him to get lost in his own thoughts. If he started doubting himself then it would be his downfall. If he managed to keep his head on his shoulders, then I would be impressed, but not enough to let him live. Darkfrost had told us to show them no mercy, and even though I never intended to do so, his words just encouraged me to cause as much damage as possible with no remorse.

《 And I can't just sit back and watch it fade. This time I hope you see, I'm not the enemy. 》

Fawnstar saw a flash of fur, and then the weight on top of her was gone. She barely had a moment to suck in another breath, much less grudgingly thank Wolfstripe for aiding her -- before she felt his weight sinking into her, and her eyes widened as jaws pierced her flesh. She struggled viciously for a moment, and then within a heartbeat, her weight sank, and she felt the energy leave her body as she fell still. Teetering on the edge, she felt him let her go and yowl an announcement to the HazeClan warriors, and disgust ran through her veins before she slipped away into dizzying blackness.

    "...."

Awakening in an endless clearing, Fawnstar's icy blue eyes glowed while she looked around for any sign of StarClan - but all she could see were her recently lost clanmates. Apprentices, warriors, even Russetwind's small kits were gathered, gazing at her with expectant glimmers in their eyes.
"What do you expect from me?" she whispered softly. "Victory? Vengeance? What is it you want?"
Her skin crawled as a familiar face - the large, fluffy tom she'd had as her apprentice so many seasons ago as Fawnstep - padded toward her, his eyes glowing with wisdom far beyond his years.

"You must have faith, Fawnstar. This is your last chance to determine your clan's future."

"How long do I have?" she blurted out, her tail lashing with unbidden desperation. "How long does she have left to be safe in our camp? How do I know more of my clanmates won't turn against me like Wolfstripe has?"

Her apprentice stared at her quietly, before he touched his nose to hers.

"Have faith," he whispered, and then her eyes slipped shut.

Fawnstar's eyes fluttered open, rasping weakly as she tried to push herself to her paws; she felt weak, like she needed to lay down for a few days without having to get back up - but there was still a battle to be won. Her ears flattened and she looked around, bleary, but fought to keep herself up. Recover. Come on, Fawnstar! You can do this! she insisted to herself, shaking her head and trying to quell her swimming thoughts.

Lilypool's eyes narrowed as he stared down at the animated rogue, his lip curling with disgust as he kept him pinned to the ground with a lashing tail.
"Funny thing about caring about something is, you don't need to be paid to be willing to fight for it," he snarked back, refusing to let his words get under his fur. Lilypool was not a very good fighter when his temper took over; he was furious, a whirlwind of teeth and claws, for sure, but nothing useful; only slower cats would be overtaken by something like that. No, he had to keep his calm. I have to keep her safe.

"No, sorry, all you rogue crow-food look the same to me," he remarked, tensing as he felt claws pressing against his skin through his fur. That red juice was disconcerting, and he tipped his chin up, ears flat with a growl. "Last time I checked, cats don't carry venom. Though, you could easily double as a snake, given how slimy you already are-"
His taunting cut off as he froze, hearing Wolfstripe's yowl. He backed off of Hemlock, his blood running cold as he fought the urge to race to Fawnstar's side; no. What could have happened?

Hemlock forgotten, he raced toward the nursery instead, his belly twisting with anxiety. He wouldn't go inside, but he wouldn't leave the nursery's perimeter no matter what; now that Fawnstar was on her last life, he had to leave it to himself to do as much as he could to fend off these attackers. But...if Fawnstar died again... Please, StarClan, don't let her die now! We need her more than ever!

    moonshade wrote:female | 36 moons | warrior | possible romance w/ smokefang | location: camp | tags: smokefang

Moonshade snarled angrily as Smokefang insulted her; well, that was fine. She could easily rip this mangy warrior's pelt off before running on to meet up with her true allies to assist Darkfrost in taking the kits. Surely Smokefang would be blinded with rage, anyway; stupid little she-cat could do nothing but mope around camp after her apprentice died, anyway.
"Oh?" she spat. "Funny you should say that. I bet Redpaw is staring down at you in StarClan, wondering why he'd been cursed with such a useless mentor."

As if it had ever been worth humoring this useless excuse for a cat. She was sure, though, that if she had just taken the offer and joined her, they could have had a decent future together. Smokefang was powerful, angry enough at the clan to fuel her fight against them - but her pathetic loyalty to HazeClan after what she claimed to have lost was so pointless. You're all going to die anyway.

She let out a startled hiss as Smokefang lashed out - and then pain lanced her throat, and she found herself gasping for air, staggering and feeling heat seeping into her fur. Staring at the black-spotted she-cat, she felt her limbs growing weak - but the smug glint never left her eyes as she shivered on the cold floor, staring up at Smokefang.
"At - least...I have a purpose...!" she choked out, her voice raspy and barely a whisper from the wound - before she shuddered and fell limp, succumbing to the fatal injury.

    aspenflame wrote:male | 42 moons | warrior | crush/mate open [bisexual] | location: camp | tags: dawnblaze, open

Aspenflame's head whipped around as soon as he'd chased the rogue off, answering Dawnblaze's call with a look. His amber eyes widened, staring at the warrior only a season or two older than himself murdering their leader.
"Go! Help Fawnstar," he ordered, turning swiftly to the golden warrior. "Keep him away from her. Try and make her stay away from this fighting," he muttered gravely; if she went down again...there would be no getting back up.

For once, unease settled into his pelt, and he found himself staring distractedly at Wolfstripe. How had this come about? How could a warrior lose so much faith in his leader that he'd dare to harm them? And yet he speaks as though he is still part of HazeClan. How absurd! Ridiculous! He felt cold rage brewing beneath his pelt, longing to rake his claws through Wolfstripe's pelt himself - but he knew it would be foolish. For now, Wolfstripe was still battling rogues; he'd be useful until the battle ended.

And when it ended...that would be the time to deal with his treachery.

Smokefang snarled at the corpse of the cat in front of her. “A purpose that you couldn’t fulfill.” She hissed.

Smokefang stood there in silence, her claw still hovering above the cat she just killed. The blood clung to her claw, changing it from a midnight black to a crimson red. The liquid surrounding the corpse slowly leaked out and engulfed Smokefang’s other paw with red. This wasn’t the first time Smokefang had killed a cat, but this would certainly not be the last. Especially with how these events turned out. She couldn’t believe how weak Moonshade ended up being. How pathetic. She didn’t even end up fighting back! One swing! That’s all it took!

Smokefang stared at Moonshade’s body. Now what? Smokefang licked off the red coloring from her paws as she registered what just happened. She decided she’d leave Moonshade’s body here, as a warning to those who challanged her, and go onto her next plan of action: revenge.

Smokefang stood and turned away from the blue cat and studied her surroundings. She noticed some Deathberries on a nearby bush. This was perfect. She carefully picked Deathberries from the bush and then wandered over to the rouge prey pile. Quickly she sliced the berries open over the prey, letting the toxins pour onto the food. Even if they don’t eat the posion, at least they’ll have to get more food.

After, she hid the sliced berries in a nearby bush and then left rouge camp to go find a stream to wash her claws off in. There was one nearby luckily, so she dipped her paws into it, carefully washing of the toxic liquid from her claws. Now, came her second plan of action. Hazelclan. She needed to get back to camp, see it last time before she left, and make sure they knew she was never coming back. She had no interest of hiding her scent, after all if they followed her they’d end up like Moonshade. They clearly wouldn’t understand what they’re dealing with. They’re not dealing with a Hazelclan cat, nor a scrawny rouge, they’re fighting a cat with nothing left. There were no more risks, no more consequences.

Smokefang sighed and climbed up a nearby tree. She was getting close to Hazelclan, but she wasn’t going to participate in the battle. After all, she would be fighting both of her enemies. It would be better to stay up here, where it’s safe. Now, all I have to do is wait.

wolfstripetom52 moonswarriortagged: nightfall
Our code has not failed. But our foolish leader has made a mistake in sacrificing the many for the few. I intend to right these wrongs, Wolfstripe growled, his fur bristling. He glanced back only for a moment; he could see Fawnstar's body twitch. She was alive, but he knew this was her last life. He turned his gaze back to the rogue. His tail lashed back and forth when he spoke again. She is on her last life. Soon, we will be rid of the leader that has brought this Clan to its knees. Then, you will see HazeClan at its fullest.

He seemed half-offended that Nightfall seemed to be taking neither him nor this fight seriously. The large gray tom took a step forward. Leave, enemy. Get off our territory. I do not care about the kits, but I do not want your kind in my camp. His muscles rippled beneath his fur as he tensed, clearly prepared to strike if the cat did not heed his warning.

dawnblazetom26 moonswarriortagged: aspenflame, then fawnstar, open
Dawnblaze looked at Aspenflame, the expression on his face deeply worried; for Fawnstar, for Ivybriar, and for the Clan as a whole. He nodded at the order and dashed towards Fawnstar's body. He looked towards Wolfstripe, but the cat seemed to have taken interest in one of the rogues near the camp entrance. Is he conspiring with them? No, he can't be! But then again, the senior warrior had just murdered their leader. Shaking the thoughts from his mind, Dawnblaze stood over their leader, able to see the blood staining her throat where she had been killed. It was no longer bleeding, but Fawnstar still lay unmoving.

He whispered a prayer to StarClan and a moment later he heard Fawnstar gasp awake and saw her eyes flutter open, the light of life newly aflame in them. Fawnstar! he meowed, moving to her side to help her up. Fawnstar, you need to come with me. You can't stay out here in the battle. You'll die if you stay out here! He was clearly hurried, and his voice shook with anxiety. He couldn't imagine losing their leader after all these moons. What would HazeClan do without her? He didn't doubt Martenfang's abilities, but... it was Fawnstar.

jaxishe-cat21 moonswarriortagged: open
Jaxi's paws could not carry her faster as she streaked through the forest, leaping over a log. She still followed the excited scent of the rogues, and her teeth grit as she found herself moving further into HazeClan territory. She couldn't be far now; only a few more tree-lengths to go, surely. At this point she could hear the fighting. The cats' yowling was louder than the loudest Twoleg monster, and she couldn't pick out any specific voices.

Unsure of what she would find, she tore through the camp's entrance, pausing only a moment to see the carnage. Cats were fighting and bleeding, and there were already a couple of unmoving shapes on the ground. She didn't take time to see who they were, other than the thought that none of them were big marble tabbies like her sister. Her ice-blue eyes flicked around camp as she tried to make out Piper in the writhing mass of fur and claws and blood. Just then, she spotted her, pinned underneath a tom with another warrior standing right beside her. Jaxi growled and moved towards them.

pipershe-cat21 moonsroguetagged: cedarheart, pebblestep
The large tabby she-cat felt herself being knocked to the side, and she barely kept her footing as the silver cat slammed her weight into her. Claws dug into her fur and she felt them cut into her skin, but the fury of battle was pumping through her veins and she hardly noticed the wound. Piper twisted, trying to dislodge the warrior's claws, before she gave up and simple dug her teeth into the silver tabby's scruff, dragging her off and shoving her to the side with a quick jerk of her head.

Piper's tail lashed back and forth and her claws dug into the dusty ground beneath them. Oh, you're good, she purred, tail twitching. She said nothing else, but stared at Pebblestep, preparing to lunge. At the last second, though, she felt Cedarheart crash into her and she let out a growl. She let herself hit the ground, but her back legs kicked up, claws outstretched and reaching to scratch at whatever was within range, whether that be Cedarheart's soft belly or his face.

|Crocodile|
Form | Gender; Tom | Age 16 moons | Rank; Rogue fighter | Crush; Open | Mate; Open | Tags; Open!

Crocodile trotted back and forth, he desperately wanted to make himself useful, but then again not a kitnapper. He was just WAITING to get attacked, so that he could fight back and argue that it's only self defense.

He spotted Fawnstar in the clearing, clearly badly wounded.... By.... Wolfstripe? Yes, Wolfstirpe. The blood on his muzzle made it clear, Wolfstripe took away a life of his own leader. How?!? Not a 'how did Wolfstripe kill her' how, but a ' how is Wolfstripe able to murder his own leader without a second thought while Croc is still contemplating whether they should steal Ivybriar's kits and are supposedly ours and which side he's actually on' kind of how.

Hmm... Though.... Imagine how easy it would be to just murder the Hazeclan leader right now... Just pounce on her body and tear her throat out while she's still unconscious..... She is on her last life after all... Hmmm... Well if a Hazeclan warrior could do it so easily, then why not him, right? He would be remembered as the kinda, "hero" of the rogues, murdering the cat Darkfrost disliked the most.(well, except for ivybriar, but Fawnstar was the one who won't let him have those kits) Oh... 𝐌 𝐀 𝐑 𝐓 𝐄 𝐍 𝐅 𝐀 𝐍 𝐆

Martenfang had no clue that briefly diverting her attention would cost her the upper hand in a skirmish she was unknowingly about to engage in. Sharp claws grappled the short, brindled fur of her flank and she hissed at the prickly sensation, attempting to turn around and confront her assailant face-to-face. Staggering backward, she hit the ground for a moment before trying to lash out at Honey with her back claws.

"Get... off of me!" The deputy heaved out, clearly winded. Honey was currently sprawled across her back, making it difficult for Martenfang to breathe. If she didn't push this she-cat off of her, she'd pass out. "Have you... no honor?"

Of course not. These rogues were here to take the kits, no matter how many innocent lives it cost them. As Martenfang was being pressed further into the dirt, she could barely make out Fawnstar's limp body across the clearing; in her peripheral vision, Lilypool turned tail on a black-and-white rogue to tend to her. Oh, StarClan... please let her survive...

    Fox-dungI

She still couldn't breathe. A warm sensation began to overtake her; it almost felt like flames lapping at her pelt. The deputy weakly craned her neck, canines bared. Even if this rogue knocked her unconscious, at least she could say she tried to save herself.

This is not my destiny. I have to do something!

Panic was setting in. Martenfang, noticing that Honey was somewhat preoccupied with keeping her flush with the ground, decided that giving her a little nip on the ear or muzzle would be her best bet in such a sticky situation. Anything... anything!

Martenfang quickly snapped forward, aiming for Honey's muzzle. If she was lucky enough to bite the other she-cat's nose, it would conceivably stun her enough to free her. For now, however, all she could do was pray that her efforts would be successful.

    If not, she'd be doomed.

    𝐇 𝐄 𝐌 𝐋 𝐎 𝐂 𝐊

Just as the tension was about to snap in half, the warrior had hopped off of Hemlock. The rogue glanced up and watched him go, confused. Was the leader... dead? He still didn't really understand this whole Clan thing. A marginal memory of Darkfrost educating them on a leader's nine lives then weaned its way into his conscious mind. Did that mean that Fawnstar only had to die... one more time?

The tom sprang to his paws, surging in the direction of the leader. She was slowly regaining consciousness, but she was weak. She was dying. All it would take was a few of them to knock her down for good, so long as one of those little warriors—

Speak of the devil. Hemlock skidded to a halt and watched with a frigid mug as Dawnblaze hurtled across the crowded clearing. Fawnstar was slowly coming to, and to the rogue's surprise... she was full of life, as if she'd been... reborn? This makes no sense!

His pear-green gaze shifted over to Darkfrost, who was watching the battle from afar. Like a loyal squire, he scampered toward the large tom. "Darkfrost!" He shouted, unable to fend off a diabolical grin as he reached his leader and his voice dropped in volume.

"Fawnstar's on her last life. How about you go finish her off?"

    EAGLEWING
Tom || 32 Moons || Warrior || Crush;; Open || Location;; Hazeclan Camp || Tags;; Hawkflight
Eaglewing hissed in pain as claws skimmed across the right side of his face, but at that moment, he felt some relief as his opponent backed up after he gathered his strength for a strong kick. He hurriedly leaped back to his feet, snarling at the panting Hawkflight as blood began to wet his right cheek. He himself was taking this pause as an opportunity to catch his breath. Behind him, he heard panicked yowls, something about Fawnstar. He wanted so badly to look over, to make sure all was well with his leader, but he knew better than to take his eye off of the opponent. Eaglewing paused a bit as Hawkflight asked the question, and a small smirk cracked this stoic tom's face at the irony of his opponent's words.

"Are you absolutely mouse-brained? I could ask the same thing about you and your ratty lot. Your leader must be insane, being so obsessed over stealing a litter of kits." When Hawkflight began to circle him, Eaglewing quickly began to mimic his movements, not wanting to give him any sort of advantage. At this point, when the other tom began to taunt him, his voice became no more than a drone. His words were not important. The only thing important in this moment was getting him and his allies out of this camp. The lives of a queen, newborn kits, and the clan as a whole was on the line. The tom was quick when he finally made a move and pounced. Eaglewing was never very agile, but nonetheless, he did attempt to dodge out of Hawkflight's way. He managed to dodge the claws that aimed for his flank, but as a body hit him, he stumbled to the side, and he frantically tried to anchor his claws into the earth to prevent himself from tumbling down.

    HONEY
    She-Cat || 32 Moons || Rogue Fighter || Crush;; Open || Location;; Rogue Camp || Tags;; Martenfang
Honey dug her claws in deeper as her foe began to squirm underneath her, holding on as if her life depended on it. Maybe her life did depend on it. She snapped at the bigger she-cat's neck, trying to get a killing bite, but alas, so she was moving way too much, so she wasn't able to get in the attack she had originally planned. Nonetheless, she made do with biting down on the edge of one of her ears. Ears tended to bleed excessively when nicked, so maybe there was hope of temporarily blinding the she-cat if blood got in her eyes. She felt the she-cat below her growing weaker and weaker, and that was when her eyes turned back to her neck, considering trying again. She was winning!

That is until the other she-cat had a burst of energy, her head whipping around and snapping out at her. Honey yowled in both pain and surprise as teeth struck her in the snout, her claws once anchored in flesh now loose, causing her to fall back and land clumsily onto her own back. She scrambled back to her paws, panting and shaking her head, trying to get her own blood off of her face. Her golden-colored eyes set on the larger she-cat challengingly, an angered hiss seeping from deep within her. She was no devoid of her advantage, standing face-to-face with this other cat, and after pushing herself to cling on, she felt out of breath.

(OOC: Not sure what else to type for Liongaze, so just gonna leave this for now.)

《 I'm not always who you think I am. Sometimes I feel like I'm the renegade. 》

My words seemed to do nothing to persuade Eaglewing into losing his temper, how unfortune that my games wouldn't work with him. Of course it wouldn't save him from my onslaught in the end, it would just serve to delay my tactics. Really all he was doing was delaying the inevitable, but if he made things easy for me by just giving up I would be disappointed. Perhaps he was right in saying that Darkfrost was insane, maybe doing this for one litter of kits was crazy. At the very least it was a disgusting act of treason, but I could live with that. It wasn't like it was the first time I committed a crime against Hazeclan and it likely wouldn't be the last. Truth be told I wasn't interested in the fate of the kits or their parents, I was just here to cause as much damage as possible, hopefully leave the clan in complete ruin. Those were my motives and if stealing the kits would help to accomplish my personal goals then I was more than willing to put in my best effort. So when I attacked I did so in earnest. Chaos was consuming the camp and it fueled me into further action as Eaglewing dodged my attack. His reflexes there were impressive I had to admit, even though I hated admitting it. As the tabby tom stumbled to find his footing I launched another attack at him. This time rather than trying to rake my claws anywhere into his fur I just aimed to spend him sprawling onto the ground so I could pounce on him again. Time seemed to slow down around me as the fighting continued, the rush of battle pumping through my blood causing a dull roaring in my ears that was drowned out by the sound of my own heart beating.

It was pounding hard within my chest, pushing me to fight my hardest. As it drummed within me I moved my paws to match the beat, propelling my body hastily towards Eaglewing. My ears were pinned back to my head, blocking out as much of the rest of the battle as possible, my eyes focusing on my opponent. In this moment I felt all of my past anger and anguish rise up. Every tiny bit of animosity that had been holed up in my heart raged out into the open, on display in the heat of battle. All of these negative emotions that had been building up since I was just a kit spending too much time with my brothers. It was their fault. Their fault.
Everything is your fault. It's because of you I feel this way. These thoughts buzzed through my mind as it briefly drifted to Mousefoot and Liongaze, their faces flashing through my mind, sparking my anger into overdrive. I snarled as I neared Eaglewing, picturing what I was going to do to him, how the last breath was going to leave his body. I would do it over and over again, to any cat that dared approach me now. There was nothing that could contain everything I was feeling now, I couldn't tell one emotion from another. Usually I was collected in my thoughts, able to make rational decisions in any situation, but all that was gone now. Instinct alone was driving me, telling me to fight and to continue fighting until I had no enemies left standing. It would all be over soon, the hatred in my heart would be sated soon and then I could be free. Free of this pain, of this torture. Free to find myself, the cat I knew was in there somewhere beneath the darkness. Free. Free me...

《 And I can't just sit back and watch it fade. This time I hope you see, I'm not the enemy. 》

With a yowl of fury, the young warrior barreled into the dark brown She-Cat(Jaxi) as she entered the camp clearing, which had turned into a violent war ground. Claws out stretched he batted wildly at her flank, before attempting to launch himself into her spine. His ears laid flattened against his head, and his green eyes were poisoned with rage.
