The brown tom glanced at his leader and her apprentice as they approached. "Getting ready to go on patrol," he said, his tail swishing behind him as he ducked his head respectfully. He twitched his ear towards Blossompaw in a curt greeting before turning his attention back to his mentor and deputy.

Snaptooth rolled her eyes when Lightningroar didn't wake up. "You lazy gator. You can catch up with us, if you wake up." She headed out of the den, flicking her tail. She approached the apprentices, her ear twitching. "Lightningroar has decided that he will be sleeping until the swamps freeze over. Luckily though, I think the three of us will be fine on a patrol without a big, strong tom to protect us." She joked, beginning to head out of the camp.

Turtleheart felt the hot sun on her fur as she hung out outside the elders' den. It was rather lonely in there, with her being the only elder, but she did appreciate the quiet and the extra space. She stretched her neck, her face towards the summer sky.

Ravenpaw's eyes fluttered open and he surveyed who was in the den. After realizing he was one of the last ones still in the den he hopped up, walking out into the camp. Ravenpaw stretched, his back and shoulders cracking. He scanned the camp, trying to find his mentor, Bloodwolf, hoping she wasn't annoyed how long he had slept in.

Fishdrop blinked, turning her silver head towards Fernpaw "I think it would be, sure!" she chirped the last part to Spiderfang. She glanced at Swanstar when she approached "Morning Swanstar," she meowed and answered "Working out patrols." she fidgeted with her paws as she spoke.

Fennelstep sat outside the warriors den, grooming his pure white pelt. As you could expect his pelt could get covered in grime faster then he could clean it. But still he tried his best to clean his pelt between breaks.

"Right." Well, the tom's curt answers were charming enough - but Lilypool couldn't deny he preferred a straightforward conversation, anyhow. He lifted his tail and began to follow Sparrowfall before he paused as he heard a familiar meow, turning his head to spot Dawnblaze.

"Oh? Sure thing, Kittypet," Lilypool chirped, though there was no venomous jeer behind his words; simply a teasing gesture (at least, while the apprentices still weren't around). His blue eyes sparkled with mirth, as if merrily awaiting a reaction from the handsome fluffy tom, before he added, "Good idea. Featherpaw could use some hunting practice, too."
He could see his little apprentice not too far from where he and Sparrowfall had spoken, and he was briefly amused. Did he think he was going to get some rest today? Sorry, buddy. Not today.

"Featherpaw! C'mon, we're going hunting. I want to see how you're shaping up."

Ivybriar purred at Applepaw's praise; oh, she was far too sweet for her own good. Happily, she relaxed, letting the two medicine cats feel around her belly gently while her eyes closed and she concentrated on feeling the resistance against their paws. I can almost feel you kits too much, she thought warmly. Another purr broke from her as Applepaw excitedly reported her finding, making Ivybriar open her eyes back up to look up at the eager apprentice.

"I can't wait to meet them, Sprucebelly," she replied. "Thank you." Seeing such a bright little spirit in Applepaw gave her all the reassurance she needed that her kits would be fine additions to the clan. Enthusiastic and eager to do their duty...all young cats were so wonderfully spirited. "And thank you, too, Applepaw. Seeing you always makes my day warmer," she purred, gently brushing the apprentice's cheek with her plumy tail.

She was watching the small group around her daughter there talking when noticed the fluffy black tom walking out of the apprentice's den. She bit her lips with a little disappointment, not like she was angry about him being sleeping late, she really didn't care at all how long he sleeps. She hated to a mentor of the young cat, she never ever wanted to be, but Swanstar desired another way.

Spiderfang watched the deputy though dull eyes, silently hoping the cats would finish talking so they could head out on their patrol.. he hated sitting idle. The dark tom glanced toward his apprentice, who seemed to be getting more attention than either of them were used to. He couldn't help but let out a small chuckle, his body shaking as he fluffed out his long coat, trying to keep himself from fidgeting while they waited.

Applepaw jumped back with a purr of delight, her overjoyed gaze shifting between her proud mentor and the kind fae laying before her. It was nice to hear such high praise, especially from a cat she had so much respect for "Thank you Sprucebelly! I learned from the best." The calico fae increased the volume of her purr as the queen spoke kind words of her own, her heart swelling with happiness at the sound, and even more so when the queen's tail brushed against her cheek "Thank you Ivybriar, I can say the same about you."

Her ears flicked with a slight disappointment when she heard that she needed to wait before going out of training, but it didn't really surprise her at all.
