Creamflower is eating a fish from the fresh-kill pile, savoring the delicious taste. She scans the clearing, seeing whose up and about this morning.

Rosestar looked at her kits and licked their heads. They looked just like her mate! She mewed silently with grief and sadness and stared at the place where Hopekit, her kit that passed away, was buried. Shrewkit: a brown she-kit with a white stripe and Echokit: A grey she-kit with a snub nose and fluffy fur, just like her father, were the names of her remaining kits. Smiling proudly, she knew her mate and Hopekit were in Starclan together.
