Cometstar smiled and looked down at the kit. "Would you like to join our clan? We have a used to be queen, Riverdream who would be happy to foster mother Leaf and you and Lion could learn to hunt with our clan and get fresh kill to eat."

Lion smiled, "I know how to hunt already." he bragged.

Leaf looked at Oak, "Will mommy be here soon?"

Oak smiled weakly, "Leaf...mommy isn't coming back..." he mewed softly, his voice cracking.

She smiled. "We'd be happy to have new warriors." then leaned down to Leaf's height she whispered "Your mommy might not be coming back but a new mommy is willing to adopt you and care and feed you."

"Your adoptive mother is inside camp right now waiting for you. Your first mommy went to play in the stars and clouds" she told her as gently as she could. "Your first mommy wants you to be happy and play on Earth right now and then she'll call you to her when its time"

Oak smiled, "Of course you will."

Leaf nodded, "Who's my new mommy?"

Lion looked at Cometstar curiously.

"Riverdream!" she yowled to the clan. And Riverdream came padding forward. She had a scent of milk on her. She smelled like kits and a warm nursery. Her light blue eyes looked like paradise waters and her soft warm gray and black pelt shined in the moonlight. "This is Riverdream, your adoptive mother" Cometstar told the kit.
