Stormstrike winced as she watched the two young cats interact. She would of been okay with it, if one of them hadn't just received their medicine cat name. But... She didn't want to have 'that talk' with Starlingpaw either. They seemed pretty affectionate... And weren't scared of hiding it. It was strange. She jumped slightly when she heard a voice, and turned around. "Oh hey Dovespring." She greeted warmly. "I'm pretty good, you?"

Sandpaw smiled. "Okay then, I'll do that in a second." He told his mentor, frowning as she continued. "But, its really late, for me." He said, slightly nervously. "I've been hunting the whole day, and I was kind of hoping to go to bed after Shellpaw comes back." He shuffled his paws and looked down at them, looking up as Shellpaw burst into camp. The newly made medicine cat had really only eyes for Starlingpaw. Funny that.

softpaw was just lazing around camp, watching everything happen around her. it was all peacefull, until shellpaw came thundering back to the camp. the she-cat jumped to her paws in fright of the sounds, but when she noticed what it all was, she relaxed a little, sitting down and curling her tail around her paws. the she-cat watched starlingpaw and shellpaw reunite, and even heard a snippet of their conversation. 'shellbranch.. it suits the tom.' she thought, and couldn't help but form a smile on her maw. it was nice seeing two cats get on so well - even if one of them was a medicine cat... softpaw was willing to overlook it all.

Pigeontail had sat and groomed herself on the edge of the camp clearing, smoothing down stray pieces of fur that were sticking up. Her eyes landed on her apprentice and a soft purr rumbled in her throat for the young she-cat. She got to her paws and padded over to her “Was thinking about going hunting, thought we could work on that today.” she told her with a flick of her tail.

- Amberpaw stretched out her forelegs, letting out a long yawn. She let out a gentle purr as she left the apprentices' den and sat down a shady area to avoid having to go hunting just yet. As she occupied her time, she gazed around and noted that Pigeontail was also resting around in the camp.

"Now I was thinking we could go over the basics one more time, but I was thinking you could catch something on your own today," she meowed, flicking her ears as she waited for the young she-cat's response. She remembered when she was younger and her mentor had let her lead the hunting and it was exciting for her.

the apprentice’s eyes widened. ”o-kay!” she said quietly. softpaw hadn’t caught any prey by herself yet - even though she had been an apprentice for three whole moons.. she was excited ! and she couldn’t wait to show the other cats just how good she was. ”let’s go!” the she-cat did a little excited hop.

Pigeontail kept walking quietly until she reached a small clearing that was surrounded by brush, a good area for prey. She turned to her apprentice “Okay, remember Softpaw, keep your footfalls as light as possible, if you make sound, the prey will flee.” she told the young she-cat. She then demonstrated walking in a circle, her footfalls close to silent and slow.
