Cloudgaze tilted his skull to the side as she spoke, his head nodding slowly as the words spilled out of her mouth. He frowned a bit at the comment about her brother, feeling a slight twinge of sadness for the tom "That's terrible.." The large tom shuffled his paws a bit, chuckling lightly at the way she continued talking, it was as though these thoughts of hers were locked in until now, and could finally be set free "Who says you can't have a mate?.. kits I can understand to a certain extent, but you don't have to force yourself to be lonely." The white tom looked up at the cloudy sky, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth "I'm glad you're so motivated though, it makes me happy to see cats like you."

Ashpool only sighed as her apprentice bounded away from her, obviously searching for any signs of prey. The grey she-cat decided to take this time to asses her apprentice's skills, especially since the fae was getting close to the end of her apprenticeship. she sat herself down a few fox-lengths away, her emerald gaze focused intently on the young she-cat.

"It's nice to meet you, Kenji." Ebony responds, nodding her head in greeting. "I would ask my parents if I knew who they were, but yeah, I'm assuming it's because of my fur." She adds with a chuckle. "You have a pretty cool name yourself, Kenji." It was a strange name to Ebony, having never heard of a name like it, but she liked it. "A little surprise you say? I'm intrigued, do tell." She purrs, giving a small smirk of her own. Joy courses through her at the tom's words, it was clear he was not like that clan-loner. Maybe they would get along after all.

Doveadder looked up as the apprentices entered the den. Hyenapaw, Silverpaw. Gently she nudged Moonkit as she tried to paw at Splatterkit, not wanting the she-kit to disturb her brother. Something was different with that kit, as he sat there doing nothing. She'd think he was dead if it wasn't for the rise and fall of his chest. Nightkit, Doveadder spoke at Hyenapaw's question, nudging the all-black kit. Moonkit, Her tail then flicked to the energetic white kit. And that's Splatterkit.

We're almost out already! she thought, lashing her tail. She paced out of the den with a flourish, a leaf of comfrey in her mouth. She saw Stormpaw lazing about outside the Apprentice's Den. "Stormpaw!" she called. "Can you help me for a moment? I need some more comfrey," She dropped the leaf and nudged the leaf towards
