Zook helped carry the calf. He decided to carry more of the weight. She was the one who killed it. It was the least he could do.

"Thanks."Fate muttered, muffled by the calf's meat. "Right here." She said, dropping the calf beside the food pile. She sighed with relief. "Whew." She sat down. She looked around. "Wait, what happened to Fae?" She asked, noticing she hadn't seen the vixen all day since she saw her with the duck she caught.
