Fate looked at him. "No, I'm going alone." She said. "Bryon's still where you left him. You should go and play with him." She walked away to the river, not glancing back at Zook. But at the river and away from eye-shot of Zook, she turned and went into a small meadow. There was a small river, with a small lake, and a small cave behind the river. She climbed the steps and went in the cave. Then she ran forward, and dived into the water. She crawled out, with a big fish in her mouth.

"Alright." Zook sighed. He walked to his den. He layed down. He put his head on his paws. "I know that I like all the females in camp, but, Fate means more to me then the others."

Fate walked back to camp, dodging Zook's den, and went to the food den. She dug inside, and put the fish in. She buried it with all the other food. Her ears perked up to something Zook said in his den, but she couldn't hear it clearly. She poked her head in. "Um... Want to go to the lake?" She barked.

Zook lifted his head. His ears perked. He looked back at Fate. "Sure." he said nervously. He got up and followed her.

Fate turned around and lead the way to the lake. "Are you okay?" She asked. "You seem a little..."

"Huh?" Zook asked. He was blinded by his confusion.

Fate tilted her head. "Zook?" She asked. "You don't seem right." He was acting weird. Her tail swished behind her, as she looked at him.

"Oh. It's nothing. Just another one of my phases." Zook faked a laugh. He returned to how he was.

Fate stared at him for a while, disbelief clouding her eyes. She stopped when suddenly her paw fell into water. They were at the lake. She looked up, and purred. "I love this place. It's where I go when I need space to think, or when I feel like being alone."

"It's a nice place." Zook said looking at the crystal clear water. A shiny, silver trout swam by. Zook half smiled. He put a paw in the water. A gust of wind came up from behind him. He fell in. "Ah!" he went under.
