The Cabins in the Woods (A Stray Dog RP ~Accepting~)

Vertigo padded up to the fence and stat down. "Why are you locked outside when the humans are enjoying a meal inside?" The collie could smell something cooking in the house, and she was intent on adding another dog to the Pack. "Do you not think you should be in there with them? Or are you just their pet?"

Judging from a statement like that, Garnet was talking to a stray. It made sense. No collar, little understanding of life in a human pack. Still, the tone was not judgmental so Garnet patiently attempted to explain her position on the matter. First, she took a few steps forward herself, so as not to appear rude.
"It's alright. I'll get food, but as the omega I must eat last."
The stray did have a bit of a point though. It would be nice to be able to have a wider range to roam in, but her territory was here and her pack was here. Therefore, she was happy enough. Garnet shifted her forepaws a little, placing them firmly on the ground before her to illustrate that this place was good enough for her. There was one thing that bothered her slightly. That word. 'Pet'. Humans usually ended up in the higher ranks, and they often did refer to their omega canines as 'pets', but somehow, when the stray said it, it sounded less like a title of honor and more like... like... an insult, maybe?

Dog's name: Stasia
*Dog's looks: Stasia is a female husky with bright blue eyes and red fur surrounding them and her ears. The length of her body is white. She is slender, and fit under her clumps of fur.
Dog breed: Husky
Personality: Stasia is a shy dog, she worries about things but doesn't quite know how to voice her opinions. She is strong, and willing to fight when it is needed... but she does not start unnecessary dog fights. After Stasia gets to know you she opens up and is a very playful, willing dog.
Past: Stasia recently ran away from home after her owners went on a long vacation. Never treated very well, Stasia usually knows how to fend for herself.

Vertigo pulled back her ears and looked away slightly. "Omega? Why should a dog who can outrun and outsmart it's humans be the 'omega'? In my pack, no one's the omega." She got up and began to walk away, but before she went far, she turned and said, "Think about it. If you decide you want a better life, you can find me in the cabins across the river. Just follow the dirt road that leads off the bridge and keep walking. You won't miss it. If they give you trouble, say Vertigo sent you."

Vertigo. What an interesting name. However, the words that concerned Garnet more had little to do with the stray's identity. Garnet had so force herself from becoming lost in thought right away. She gave her head a little shake and politely responded to Vertigo's offer.
"Thank you, I'll keep that in mind..."
Vertigo had given her name out, meaning Garnet should do the same or risk being seen as suspicious to a fault. So, she rather awkwardly tacked on her own introduction.
"... and... Garnet. The name's Garnet."
In order the repair the clumsiness, she gave a sharp, professional nod, both to finalize the statement and as a sort of good-bye gesture.

Vertigo swished her tail to signal she heard Garnet. Trotting over the bridge, she eventually made her way back to the cabins. She didn't see Knight or Mooie, but she didn't worry. Knight would get the job done, and if he didn't, he knew what the consequences would be.

Personality:Koda is usually friendly as far as other dogs go,but she doesn't like to be forced into anything.She likes being with other dogs and wants a family, but there are certain times when she wants to be alone.At times like these she can get very cranky.
Past:She was a sled dog belonging to a photographer in Alaska.Her parents were both purebred huskies.She had three littermates,but one died of cold soon after it was born.Her other littermates were sold once they were old enough,but she remained on the sled team.Brought here for a vacation with her owner,she soon started to explore the forest on her own.

Vertigo pushed open her cabin's door and walked over to the bottom bunk on the bunk beds. She leaped into the bed and rested her head on her paws, thinking. Garnet would come, at least to check out her offer, and by then she would be in too deep. Mooie, she thought, may try to fight the Pack, but most likely would end up staying. They would need all the dogs they could get, it would be a cold winter this year and food would be scarce.

Garnet wandered away from the fence and began pacing large circles along her fence. Around and around she walked, staring thoughtfully ahead. She had always been reasonably happy here with her pack. They were good to her, and she was loyal to them, loved them. There was really no reason to run away and join some stray pack. As Garnet walked, she was comforted by the rhythmic jingling of her light chain collar. The sound was quiet, almost nonexistent, but still there. Suddenly, she halted. Vertigo. That name sounded familiar. Where had she heard it before...? Garnet dropped her haunches and scratched her ear with a hind leg as she though it over. Ah, yes. Vertigo was supposed to be the leader of a pack that lived in the woods, in some old abandoned cabins. There were rumors going around that Vertigo was the cause of some dogs disappearing every now and again. Garnet stopped scratching and lowered her hind leg to the ground slowly. Those rumors couldn't be true. Vertigo seemed reasonable and even friendly, not the sort to drag dogs away and turn them into feral slaves.
"Gaaarnet! C'mere girl!"
The sound of Beta calling for her interrupted her thoughts. She whirled around and barreled across the yard to meet the young human on the back porch. The pair of them entered the pack's huge den through the invisible door, which had been left open for them. Just as she passed through the door, the though occurred to her. Pet. That was what she was. Garnet was busy concentrating. Why should she drop everything like that? For a pup, no less. A vague, gnawing doubt clawed at the back of her head.

Koda trotted though the trees,pausing to stiff the ground or prick her ears every few steps.This place was so different from what she was used to. Scents that were all over the place back in the Coldhome were completely gone here,but there were many new ones she had never smelled before. She liked it here,though. Without being hitched up to the harness all the time,she felt free.

I should be going back to my human now... she thought to herself.She sighed.Her human would get irritated if she stayed out too long.She was tempted to stay out this time,just to show him that she could take care of herself.
