The she-cat padded after Witheredspark, her tail flicking in eagerness as she took in the scent of forest. Hearing Foxheart, Ravensong twitched her ear in agreement. Suddenly a strong, tempting scent wafted over the air, and Ravensong recognized it as mouse; the warrior was just about to track it down, when, unexpectedly, a blur of fur flashed from the corner of her vision. The cat froze, startled, when she realized it was an apprentice--Applepaw. oh, for starclan's sake! I was just about to track down that stupid mouse! Now it's gone for sure, with all this clamor, Ravensong thought irritatingly. She lashed her tail and glared.

The small she-cat was a bit surprised when Fadedpaw laid by her and didn't say anthing but she just let it go. Just as she leaned down to take another bite, the mouse was moved to the side and she noticed a paw was pushing it. Turning to Fadedpaw, she gave him a confused look and noticed the smile. Was he trying to mess with her? Reaching out with her twisted paw, she pulled it back so that it was in front of her again. "Hi Fadedpaw," she decided to say something to him first.

Letting out a soft purr of amusement, she gave a shake of her head. "I didn't mean it like that. Most cats tend to stare at the spot or look at it right before they attack. Let me demonstrate." She dropped into a crouch, her gaze sweeping over him before locking on his left shoulder. Springing forward, she instead sprang to the right and used her paw to try and swipe his paws out from under him in a different attack. "You can look but don't make it obvious where you are going to attack or what you are going to do. You can deceive your opponent this way."

"Alright." Going over to the moss pile, he picked up a big wad in his mouth and even had some under his chin to help move this along. Following Daisypaw, he dropped it where the other tom discarded his load. "Hey Daisypaw, have you seen Stormpaw recently?" He asked as he headed back to the pile of moss with him. The warrior noticed the pretty medicine cat apprentice wasn't around and he wondered where she went.

BirdLeap heard CreekHeart's heavy and fast breathing quickly, so he sat down next to her. He slowly and carefully slid his tail over the she-cat's stomach, trying to determine factors. His ear twitched and he soon wished that stormpaw was here at the moment. She is probably off in the forest frolicking around like a mouse-brain with some other cat. The blind tom thought to himself, but shoved away the thought and reminded himself to help CreekHeart.

Applepaw saw a group of warriors heading out for a patrol. She glanced around camp to see where sagebrush was but unable to spot the tom she ran to catch up with the warriors. She looked behind her wandering if sagebrush would be angry that she left without permission. Without looking ahead of her she had no idea that foxheart was directly in front of her. The young cat ran right into the tom causing them both to fall. Applepaw let out a small squeal as they fell. Shaking her head she realized what had happened and quickly stood. ”ah, sorry foxheart! I didn’t see you there. Are you okay?” I was trying to catch up with you cats and see if I could join the patrol” applepaw felt her pelt burning with embarrassment.

Fadedpaw tried not to pay attention to the mangled paw connected to the apprentice. She had never been mean to him but he had been to her...at least when other cats were around. ”hey...” he meowed back. An awkward silence between the two cats fell until fadedpaw spoke again ”so uh...how’s it going? Need help with anything?” fadedpaw put on his best warrior face ”I’m pretty strong!”

Tipping her head to the side, she gave a shake of her head. "No. I'm just finishing up my mouse." She was confused by his behavior at times. Sometimes he didn't seem all that bad but then he would suddenly be mean to her. It didn't make sense to her as he seemed to switch so quickly sometimes. "Did you already train today? Bumblefoot taught me how to climb trees." She stated proudly. "I managed to do it and come down by myself."

”wow! I wish I could do that. I bet you could catch a lot of prey from that high.” fadedpaw’s amber eyes sparkled in admiration. He shook his head to sign that he hadn’t been out with mintcloud yet. ”mintcloud is a good mentor but sometimes a little too optimistic for me” he joked. "Bumblefoot is a great mentor! I've learned so much from him!" She said with a soft purr. "I don't think I could have had a better mentor." She was really glad she had gotten paired up with the tom. It was most likely the best choice for her as he understood how to help her and what she was going through. "I didn't climb too high but it's a start. Climbing is a bit of a challenge for me but I plan to keep working on it. Maybe next time you can come out with me and Bumblefoot."

”yeah, that would be great!” He meowed trying to repress a purr rising in his throat. The more he hung out with brokenpaw the more he thought about her. But no one can know that. Fadedpaw ran a paw over his ear as if to clear the thought. ”I think I should be going now. I’ll talk to you later ok?” fadedpaw walked over to the elders den where he hid behined a bush just barely large enough to keep him from sight. He felt as if his heart would beat out of his chest and though he hadn’t eaten since sunrise he didn’t feel hungry at all. Fadedpaw sighed, why did he care so much about what the others thought of him? Maybe he should talk to birdleap, she would know what to do.

Foxheart was about to split from the group when the scent of rabbit caught his nose. but before he could even turn the dark ginger tom flew forward a tail length with a thud. "Oof" he huffed scrambling to his paws and shaking the dirt from his fur, the hair along his spine was up at first but when he gazed to see that it was the young apprentice applepaw he relaxed. "That's quite alright Applepaw, careful though at this rate you will be renamed to leafpaw" the tom teased flicking a leaf off the shecats shoulder with his tail. "sure why not the more help the better" he looked to the other three shecats that where with him on the hunt. "Applepaw will be joining us" he told them. he casted a gaze over to ravensong and could clearly tell she was agitated. "Careful ravensong, with a glare that cold you will catch burrs in your fur" he purred trying to lighten any tension in the area.

"Okay. I'll be sure to let him know." She said with a soft smile. "Alright. Talk to you later Fadedpaw." She said with a soft wave of her tail. Turning back to her mouse, she soon finished it and swiped her tongue over her muzzle before running her tongue over her paw before rubbing it over her face a few times.
