"Nightwillow! Nightwillow! Nightwillow!" The other medicine cats yowled.

Jayfeather's smiled was replaced with his usual scowl, and he turned to the Moonpool. "Alright, that's enough. I don't want her getting a swelled head or anything." His voice was stiff, but his sightless eyes sparkled with humor and pride.

Nightpaw crouched at the edge of the pool and lapped the icy water as other cats did the same. Nightpaw's eyes slid shut and she relaxed as dreams took her.
