Heatherpaw sat within the Clan's new medicine cat den, sorting out what few herbs they had been lucky to find on the journey there. That's right, she thought to herself, Quietcry will probably want me to go searching from some more with her or another cat soon. She sighed, and tucked away the last of the cobweb she had at her paws. Having completed her task, Heatherpaw looked out in to the camp, watching the other cats. She wondered where her brothers, Martenpaw and Foxtongue, were at this moment. Most likely doing their hunting and patrolling duties, such as she had once dreamed to do.

Foxtongue's ears twitched as he noticed his apprentice in the camp,"Fadedpaw!" He stood and padded to the tom. "Sorry, I forgot to take you out this morning. How would you like to go practice your fighting? I'm sure by now you're practiced enough with hunting to skip it for a while, and it's about time you have a moment to try some moves." He glanced around the camp, checking to see if any other apprentices were in need of work to do. Unable to find any, Foxtongue flicked his tail in satisfaction and turned his head back to Fadedpaw. "Seeing as the other apprentices are either occupied or asleep, we'll have some time to just focus on where you're at in your training. It's only two moons, presumably, until your assessment. Oh, and also... when we come back, I suggest you bring some water in moss to Kestrelflight. I know our traditional training methods have been... set aside for the past few moons, but it is still necessary for apprentices to take care of the elders and queens. Anyway... are you ready to set out?""

Buttons padded through the forest, his stomach grumbling and the bell on his collar jingling. He shook slightly, looking about the forest with a strong sense of fear. "They'll come back for me," the kittypet murmured to himself, hoping moreso than believing, "They'll definitely come back. They must've went this way...maybe?" The soft-furred cat had not eaten in four days, although he had found substantial water to drink. He once tried to catch a rabbit, much to his discomfort, but, while he was able to nearly keep up with it, his pounce was far from coordinated, and it had gotten away. Buttons mewed worriedly, hoping that perhaps his cry would be familiar to his twolegs and they would find him and take him home again.
