Sheba continued to bare her teeth. "You better decide soon. Once you've reached that stage where you can think for yourself then I wont be here to help you!" she informed sharply, before turning and going back inside her den.

Gamble’s ears fell. He found himself wishing he hadn’t said what he just said, but his duty was to protect Luna and hunt for her. His claws dug into the ground with anger. He growled, his eyes flashing with anger. He nipped his paw, drawing his own blood as he stared down at the red liquid falling from his paw. Moping, he sat there and watched his paw. “I thought Sheba was the one. But I was wrong. How’s the possible.” His voice grew angrier with each word and finally he bit down on his own paw as hard as he could. He yelped loudly at the pain of the broken paw, staring down at what he had done.

Sheba lay in her den, not bothering to clean Mezzas blood off of her face. She simply laid there and thought. Or at least tried to. Shebas mind was blank. Blank like a starless and moonless night. Her ears lowered. Eventually she began to call for her mate, Tejon. Her soft yips and whines echoed from the den.

Shadow stared in unbelief at what Sheba had said to her. She was just confused, she hadn't meant any harm. She ran a short distance away where she lay down and began crying.
