Tejon hopped up next to Gamble. "I didn't mean to sound sharp, Gamble. We're all touchy today." His eyes were tired, and though he had more of a husky tail, he looked more wolf than dog.

Gamble looked at the alpha, setting his head back onto the rock, "No matter what you do I'm always going to be there for her, so don't try to push me away." He stayed there a while, his eyelids closed for a moment then he stood. Shaking his fur, he made his way towards the many trees where hopefully he could get some peace. The tip of his tail flicked as he stopped, looking over his shoulder at Tejon. "Tell her I said if she needs someone to cheer her up she can look for me, please." his ears fell, as he turned his attention back to walking.

(Just to let you know, Gamble doesn't really hold grudges long. It's nothing personal.)

Sheba tossed and turned, her sleep gone restless. She sighed and eventually opened her eyes and sat up. Nothings changed... The world is still ugly... the alphess said to herself, hearing her joints pop and groan as she shifted position. Sheba sniffed around in her den, getting up and crawling toawrds the very back where she flopped back down, dust and dirt being kicked up as she did so. "Ugh..." Sheba muttered, senses dull.

Tejon barked. "Wait," He hopped down. "I'm not trying to stop you. Sheba just needs to be alone once in a while."

Gamble sort of allowed his mind to block out all the sound. He heard what the alpha was saying, but it didn't fully register. He continued to walk towards the forest until the trees had fully swallowed his shadows. His ear twitched as he picked up the pace, setting into an easy trot. His tail followed along behind him quietly as the pup began to warm up. His strides widened as he broke into a run, no destination in sight.

Tejon sighed and returned to the den with food. "Sheba?" He asked softly.

Sheba stared at Tejon. "what...." she asked, head still in the dirt, unwilling to move.

Tejon's expression hardened. "Sheba! Stop moping! You are an Alpha and have a pack to take care of! If an Alphess quit every time someone left or died, the world wouldn't ever move on! You still have so many wolves that trust you and need you! How can you just lie on the ground and chicken out when everyone is looking to you for guidance?!If you want to shun your job, you can, but I won't." He turned leaving the rabbit and beginning to pad off.

Sheba stared at Tejon as he padded off. He doesnt understand... she thought to herself, still unmoving. No one will ever understand you.... Why should you feel bad because Mezza left? She did nothing to you. She took your kindness and threw it out the window. Dont let anyone in, they'll just hurt you. Go back to your old self. Cold, unloving, untrusting. Chew the world up and spit it back out, like its done to you so many times her head ranted and Sheba stood up. Her expression changed to that of pure uncaring. She stepped out of the den, kicking the rabbit Tejon had left for her out of the way. She looked around her, intentions only suiting to her benifit. She didnt care anymore. Shed rule her pack with am iron paw as of now. "The days only so young... I have much to do." Sheba said, stalking off towards Tejon.

Gamble soar above the ground as he pushed off the ground each time a paw touch the soil. He was a beautiful runner when he had the chance to run. His maw opened, his tongue falling out the side of his mouth as he ran, his heart pounding as his chest fell and rose steadily. He closed his mouth as he reached a familiar portion of the territory. It was the territory line. If he left to go see Luna, he would no longer be allowed around the ferals; which he had grown creepily close to over the last few weeks. If he didn't go to Luna, the pack would fall apart and no longer be a considered a pack.
