rainjaw { camp. darkpaw, ravenheart. }
>> he/him. warrior. thirty moons.
>> dilute calico with blue eyes.

Rainjaw blinked, surprised by the quick change in topic but shaking off his thoughts of Amira and embracing it. "Nothing important. I just thought I saw something." He shrugged. It wasn't a lie. He didn't like to lie on principal.

His attention was quickly dragged to Firepaw and his spitting remark, and just as he was about to open his mouth and settle the issue before it got too out of paw with the two young cats, Ravenheart stepped in and he breathed a sigh of relief.

He didn't nod to her as he would any other cat, but instead meowed a quick, "Thank you." Then he refocused his attention to Darkpaw.

"Darkpaw, don't worry, all this merits is a quick apology. Firepaw was the one making a fuss." He wasn't one for reprimands, so he ignored the other apprentice, instead running a soothing - and hopefully calming - tail across Darkpaw's back.

Remembering that there was still daylight and Darkpaw was probably itching to go out and they hadn't yet, he abruptly pulled away and padded quickly to catch up with Ravenheart, leaving the apprentices to sort out their own issues. "Wait, would you mind if we joined you?"

Darksky || she-cat, warrior, 25 moons | tagged: Tigerpaw, Firepaw + Darkpaw (mentioned), camp
Darksky was laying in some of the shade at the edge of camp, escaping the sun while she could. The dusky grey she-cat was watching her apprentice with amusement as Tigerpaw launched an attack on a leaf. The young cat's hunting crouch was looking fantastic and Darksky felt pride glowing within her chest. Tigerpaw was coming along wonderfully in her training, the she-cat's enthusiasm and brightness made the lessons fun as well as practical.

There was a small commotion with Firepaw and Darkpaw and Darksky saw Tigerpaw bound over to check it out. Heaving herself to her paws, Darksky gave her thick pelt a quick pat down before slowly heading over as well. The large she-cat stopped a good several paces away, not wishing to crowd the apprentices. "Tigerpaw! How would you like to test out that hunting crouch on some real prey?" She called out the hunting invite as a way of summoning her apprentice. The other mentors were going out training but Darksky was looking to assess how well Tigerpaw was putting her learned skills to use, to see how well she was coming along.

Sandtail || tom, warrior, 25 moons | tagged: Amira (mentioned), Wolfrunner, Dawnlight, med den
While he'd managed to be awake for Amira, Sandtail couldn't deny that he was indeed exhausted, and even the welcome presence of the black she-cat wasn't enough to keep him engaged in full. He'd managed to take a few bites of the fresh-kill under Amira's watchful gaze and could feel it peak his stomach's interest. He didn't want to eat too much too fast, however, and refused any more than the scrap Dawnlight had left him. Maybe after his nap he'd check out the prey pile. The coughing had subsided with the help of whatever herb he'd been given and Sandtail was enjoying the reprise. He'd dozed a lot, sure, but real sleep had been hard to come by with the persistent nagging of his lungs.

Taking the chance to rest properly, the pale ginger tom curled up tightly in his nest.

Dawnlight || she-cat, medicine cat apprentice, 33 moons| tagged: Softwing, Wolfrunner, just entering camp
Dawnlight had enjoyed the calm presence of her companion while out in the territory. Softwing and she had not actually found very many herbs, in fact all they had to show for it was a mouthful of watermint and a few scraps of coltsfoot. Softwing had found a nice clump of cobwebs, however, and Dawnlight was rather pleased by that. No one had been in desperate need of wound dressing, but their supplies had been low anyways, and it was a nice feeling to be prepared.

The golden she-cat nudged her friend's shoulder with her nose, a teasing glitter in her eyes. "Thank you." She meowed genuinely, having appreciated being able to spend time with her. It wasn't often anymore that she and Softwing got to hang out for an extended period of time, especially since their differing career choices often had the two of them running separate errands all day long. "I'm sure Wolfrunner will appreciate our plethora of findings." Dawnlight couldn't help a cheeky grin, waving her tail in goodbye as she collected their small pile and headed off towards the medicine den.

She ducked her way inside, pleased to find Sandtail resting peacefully as compared to his earlier zoning out. "I'm back." She called out to her mentor, announcing her presence. "When shall we leave? Do I have time to sort these before we go, or should I wait until we return?" Not that the meager scraps would take long to store anyways. Dawnlight would also appreciate the chance to groom her pelt before showing up before Starclan, always wanting to look presentable for her ancestors.

Russetheart || tom, warrior, 25 moons | tagged: Hawkstep + Morningflood + Amira (mentioned), Softwing, in camp
Russetheart couldn't deny he was relieved when Morningflood came to relieve him and Hawkstep of guard duty. The large russet tom was eager to get up and stretch his muscles, unused to sitting still for so very long. He murmured a soft goodbye to the two she-cats and jumped up into a long stretch. He shook out his red-brown fur with relish and allowed a bit of a bounce to enter his step. White paws faltered momentarily as he recalled his earlier internal promise to himself to visit his brother after his shift. Right. Russetheart turned anxious eyes on the medicine den's entrance and he steeled himself. Right.

Amira exited the den and Russetheart judged himself to be in the clear. Or, at least, Sandtail would be open for interaction. What if the loner had left to provide Sandtail some rest? Should he wait? He could ask Amira how his brother was faring, but he didn't actually trust the loner much, and it wasn't like he'd ever had an interest in speaking with her before.

.. It would also be awkward to ask a loner how his own brother was doing. It was embarrassing enough to admit to his friends that he hadn't visited Sandtail yet, it would be far more so to tell that to an outsider who risked entering camp just to see the sick tom.

His hesitation was solved when he spotted Dawnlight and Softwing entering camp. When the medicine apprentice left to seek out her mentor, Russetheart padded up to the remaining she-cat. "Hey, Softwing." He greeted, tail raised happily. "Would you care to accompany me for a hunt, or even just a walk?" His paws were itching with energy and he was eager to get out of camp and into the woods for a while. By the time they got back the medicine cats would have left to share with Starclan, he would let Sandtail rest for now and keep him company when the two were gone.

    𝚎𝚕𝚔𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚒𝚍𝚎 [ˈelk-strīd] — 34 moons
𝖣𝖤𝖯𝖴𝖳𝖸. a massive black-brown maine coon tom with pale green eyes
    location: camp | tags: silverstrike
      And there she was.

Elkstride felt his heart flutter something awful in his chest, his stomach whirling with nervousness and his head suddenly light and shining with a dazzling brilliance. Yes, light...that’s the only way he could describe what he felt inside of him when he gazed upon the silver fae, whether it was a rain of warm sparks or a fierce jolt of white lightning. He blinked warmly as she approached and felt his ears burn with embarrassment as she commented on his nap.

“Honestly? Yeah,” he mewed breezily, his voice carrying a happy, comfortable note. The tom had been finding it easier to talk with Silverstrike, and he was glad he no longer had to feel like a blithering idiot every time he wanted to say something, even if he still felt a swirly inside. “What about you? Have you been getting any rest?” His green eyes flashed with concern and he reached his tail up to brush it against her hindquarters, coaxing her to sit down and talk with him.

At least she’s eating, he noted with a glance at the vole. He wasn’t hungry again quite yet, but he didn’t have a problem sitting with the lovely she-cat whilst she ate her fill. If he didn’t keep himself back, Elkstride knew he’d be fretting over Silverstrike like a queen, but he didn’t want to hover and make her feel more stressed than she probably already was. Besides, he was a patient tom and offered his care without force.

    𝚌𝚑𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚗𝚞𝚝𝚏𝚊𝚕𝚕 [ˈches(t)ˌnət-fȯl] — 20 moons
𝖶𝖠𝖱𝖱𝖨𝖮𝖱. a tall, fawn-colored she-cat with light green eyes
    location: camp | tags: slightpaw
The warrior relaxed, chasing away her distracting feelings as if they were no more than rowdy kits. “Feels better, actually. You’ll have to teach me how to hobble,” Ches joked, nudging her shoulder against Slightpaw’s. Not wanting to put too much pressure on her injury, she tucked her paw to her chest and leaned a little into her friend. She lapsed into a comfortable silence — a mutual feeling, she hoped — as she drank in the settling camp. The dying sun painted the sky with its blood and in the distance the robins sang their song, filling Chestnutfall with peace and the desire to sleep. Well, she wasn’t exactly tired, but right now felt like a time to sleep. Not now, though...maybe later.

“I wonder if my parents miss me,” she blurted suddenly. Ches never talked about her parents, even to Slightpaw. But the sunset reminded her of her father, and the way he talked about following the sun to see where it made its nest each night. She remembered the way other cats would murmur about the two lovebirds, calling them crazy and moon-brained. I think they were just so happy... she thought to herself, pawing at the dirt. And I’m happy, too. Would they like that? They were so young when she’d been born, so convinced that they had no idea how to raise a kit. Did they ever regret leaving her behind?

────────────────────────

    𝚕𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚙𝚊𝚠 [ˈlärk-pȯ] — 9 moons
𝖠𝖯𝖯𝖱𝖤𝖭𝖳𝖨𝖢𝖤. a golden tabby she-cat with blue-green eyes
    location: camp | tags: windpaw
The apprentice clutched a finch between her teeth, her paws kneading the earth beneath her as she tried to avoid looking in his direction. She’d spotted him almost immediately after returning to camp, her head turning such that Ravenclaw’s tail-flick ended up bapping her face and not her ear. But she wasn’t really paying attention anyway. Her mind was clicking and whirling away, trying to figure out how she should talk to him. Snapping back to the present, she had responded to her mentor with a sparkle of pride in her eyes before heading off to choose her meal.

Now her stomach was tight and her heart was slowly building up to a thunderous crescendo. Swallowing — and nearly inhalting a tuft of down in the process — Larkpaw began her approach to Windpaw and sat down delicately next to him, as if there’d been no planning behind it at all, absolutely not.

“I uh...I saw you training with Silverstrike earlier,” she said casually, not bothering to try to spit out an awkward “hi, how are ya?” “I don’t think anyone’s told you yet, but you don’t have to worry about ten million badgers attacking our camp.” She didn’t need to make her sarcasm obvious — Windpaw, of any cat, would know what it sounded like. Her words were a compliment of sorts, but never would she say it so blatantly. Her denmate was a hard worker, and she admired him for that, but somehow her most candid words always got all tangled up on her tongue and she could only dole them out wrapped in the coverings of humor, as if she had to trick herself into eating herbs by stuffing them into a succulent mouse.

────────────────────────

    𝚊𝚖𝚒𝚛𝚊 [ˈə-mērə] — 30 moons
𝖮𝖴𝖳𝖲𝖨𝖣𝖤𝖱. a slender she-cat with glossy black fur and green eyes
location: camp | tags: rainjaw, darkpaw, ravenheart, firepaw
The she-cat stiffened when the calico looked her way, knowing from their response to the apprentice that she’d been spotted. So why not say something? Amira crept closer, intrigued. She was almost ready to go approach the two cats when suddenly another apprentice came burling over, his sour mood radiating from his pelt like the heat of a flame. Ducking back into the shadows, the raven molly observed the situation, with her tail-tip twitching.

Always squabbling, this lot, she mused, Can’t get along with outsiders, can’t get along with themselves. Heavier pawsteps approached, signaling the presence of another cat. Blinking, Amira practically locked eyes with the blind warrior that had come striding over, her fur prickling as she watched the way the sightless she-cat scented the air. She knows I’m here, too. Yes, it was all quite interesting, but Amira was growing rather tired of hiding out, her restless soul itching for some fur to ruffle.

While the cats before her talked, she slowly got to her paws, nearly jumping out of her skin when something clipped her on the nose. What in...? It was a shiny little beetle, lying now at her paws covered in dust. Realizing it was the insect that the apprentice had brought for her trainer, Amira delicately picked it up in her teeth and padded forward as the cats began organizing themselves to go out.

She didn’t skip a beat as she set the beetle down at Darkpaw’s toes. “I believe this is yours,” she crooned, winking at the little cat before turning to the others. Mostly she kept her eye on the calico as she continued: “I’m interested in some of this training of yours. Might I come along? Amira knew she was no match for any of these cats in a real battle, but she had a few tricks up her sleeves and Sandtail had shown her a couple moves before she’d gone back to living beyond the clan’s territory — could be fun, right? She had no idea how anyone would react to her presence, but she didn’t exactly care. If they said no she’d probably go watch them anyway.

    thunderheart
she-cat | thirty-five moons | bisexual | warrior | apprentice: sunpaw | crush: frostfang | form | tags: frostfang (mention), morningflood (mention), birchstar (mention), open!
    ─────── location: camp
xxthunderheart watched the comings and goings of the clan, taking note of who left and who returned. to say she wasn't hoping to see frostfang's face each time a cat entered the camp would be a lie, but it was one she told herself all the same. each time she heard pawsteps approaching the camp, her heart skipped a beat, yet she was disappointed each and every time. she had become a hot mess, not that anyone would notice with the nearly flawless 'I'm as perfect as usual' facade she had going on, but hot mess she was nonetheless. her attention was dragged from her thoughts as thunderheart noticed birchstar leave the camp followed closely by morningflood, his assigned guard. her heart went out to the old senile tom. to be completely unaware that you murdered one of the clanmates you had sworn to and dedicated your life in protecting must've hurt him to his very core, let alone the fact that now very few in the clan trusted him and he had to be kept under watch at all times. thunderheart sighed, imagining herself in such a position. she'd absolutely hate it, the fact that her own clanmate's blood coated her paws. the she-cat shuddered at the thought.

    firepaw
tom | eight moons | heterosexual | apprentice | mentor: ravenheart | crush: tigerpaw | form | tags: ravenheart, tigerpaw, darkpaw, rainjaw
    ─────── location: camp
xxfirepaw jumped at the sudden presence of his mentor, his fur puffing ever so slightly in an indignant manner at her scolding. "darkpaw needs to learn to look where she's going" he grumbled under his breath, shooting a poisonous glare and the long-furred apprentice. the tortoiseshell rolled his eyes at ravenheart's proposition of battle training in exchange for an apology to darkpaw. he was itching to get out of this crowded camp and do something, but firepaw had never been any good at apologising, especially when it came to recognising his own faults. a familiar voice stole the young tom's attention away from the situation at hand. tigerpaw! his brief moment of happiness was ruined as his friend asked what was happening and he was swamped with an overwhelming sense of guilt. "uh, nothing! don't worry about it" firepaw blurted, suddenly not wanting tigerpaw to know any of his faults. fortunately, ravenheart and rainjaw had moved a few fox-lengths away and likely wouldn't have heard his little lie. darkpaw, however, was still standing right there, awaiting her apology. the tortoiseshell tom winced internally and held his breath, hoping the other apprentice wouldn't call him out.

      ROBINSONG
      ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
      [ female ] [ thirty moons ] [ has a crush on Ravenclaw ] [ warrior ] [ tagged with Ravenclaw ]

After her chat with Silverstrike, Robinsong felt.. almost giddy. She had never really spoken about her feelings towards Ravenclaw aloud before, and it made her heart flutter at just the thought. She really did love him, but she didn't know when she would get the chance to ever tell him; she was deathly shy of initiating interactions like that. What if he didn't like her back, like everyone was saying he did? She shook those thoughts from her mind, and trotted towards a sunny patch near the edge of the clearing. She sat down and began grooming her pelt, soft purrs rumbling from her throat.

She began contemplating whether she should go out for a bit of hunting when suddenly she heard pawsteps approaching her. She lifted her head up from grooming her pelt, and saw Ravenclaw standing in front of her. She felt her ear-tips warm at the sight of him, and she glanced towards the ground for a few seconds before looking back up at him. His voice was kind of quiet, but she heard him clear as crystal when he asked if she wanted to go for a walk with him.

She felt her breath hitch in her throat, and a smile was spreading across her face "Yes! Of course ill go for a walk with you!" She said with a voice full of excitement, getting to her paws quickly. She realized how forward that sounded, and coughed a little, her ears burning with embarrassment "I-I mean.. I'd love to go for a walk with you, Ravenclaw." She said, averting eye contact and hoping he didn't sense her looming nervousness. What if she messed this up? What if she did something stupid like trip in front of him? She pushed those negative thoughts away again. He asked her to accompany him on a walk! Just him and her! Maybe she could tell him how she felt. This was the perfect opportunity too. She felt butterflies in her stomach at the very thought, and continued smiling towards the ground, nervous to look up at him for she might get lost in his eyes.

Tigerpaw
She cocked her head to the side in confusion as Firepaw brushed off whatever the commotion had been. Before she could try asking him again, she heard her mentor calling her. Oooh, hunting in the dark, she hadn't done that very much yet. Well, there was still light out actually, but soon it would be night. "Ah, alright then. Darksky is calling me. I'll see you later, Firepaw!" Tigerpaw brushed her cheek against his in goodbye before running over to her mentor. "I can't wait to go hunting! I'll catch a fox!" The little she-cat puffed her chest out in pride at how skillful she perceived herself.

Rainjaw, Ravenheart, Tigerpaw, Firepaw. All four cats had seemed to jump into the accident, and Darkpaw felt the heat burning under her fur. Her little heart was beating a thousand times per second, she could sense all their emotions and it overwhelmed her, although she was a bit grateful for the older warriors' defense and Rainjaw's reassurance. She edged closer to him and looked down at her paws. Firepaw is just a big, fat, grumpy, meanie. The young cat thought to herself.
That was when a new she-cat arrived, she was unfamiliar to Darkpaw, and suddenly all of her guilt about bumping into Firepaw vanished. Who was this cat? The stranger delivered the bug back to her. Darkpaw swept her tail around her precious catch, "Th-thank you." she murmured quietly, and tried bravely to meet eye contact.

P I N E T H O R N
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
tom 88 moons in camp elder tag; eaglepaw, nightspark, lotuspaw, raggedwood, howlingpaw

Pinethorn waited for Nightspark to take the first bite before sneaking a piece of his own. He chewed on the gopher meat while eyeing the pair of apprentices. Eaglepaw seemed flustered at Lotuspaw's abrupt arrival, and Pinethorn couldn't keep his whiskers from twitching in amusement. He wasn't in any rush to send the pair on their separate ways, so he nudged the gopher back to Nightspark and settled to watch the duo chat.

The bliss of watching a pair of young'uns looking happy was shattered with the arrival of Raggedwood. He gave his tail an irritable flick and barely suppressed the grumble in his voice. "I'm sure one of the other apprentice's would be happy to fix your nest up, Raggedwood." He trailed Howlingpaw with his gaze, eyes narrowing at the blood on the tom. "Howlingpaw looks beat; he's better off seeing a medicine cat right now."

Raggedwood would surely complain, he knew. That's all the old tom ever seemed to do, it seemed. So Pinethorn threw in a reasoning that might appease him. Maybe. "StarClan knows he won't be any use if one'a those cuts gets infected."

morningflood { territory. birchstar. }
>> she/her. warrior. thirty-two moons.
>> white long-hair with gray tabby accents and blue eyes.

The white cat glided through the forest like a ghost, blue eyes occasionally flicking away from the leader she was dutifully guarding. Guarding wasn't the right word, she realized as she watched a bird flit from tree branch to tree branch high above her. It was more like following. She wasn't under any obligation to guard anything - except her Clanmates.

Zeroing her gaze back in on Birchstar, who was now resting and looking like he had run all the way there, she narrowed her eyes. He was weak now. She could take the chance, but - it didn't feel right. She backed off and simply waited. This was not the moment. And she realized she was right when Birchstar picked himself back onto his feet and kept walking.

She hadn't missed him silently eyeing her, and had understood some of the emotion there. He was just as surprised as she was that she was still following. As it turned out, she was still determined to protect her Clan from their former leader, no matter the cost.

She easily weaved past the obstacles that gave Birchstar trouble, offering no help and keeping her distance. She was the epitome of a cat waiting, but Birchstar didn't know what for. She did. She did, and the setting sun that was bleeding red across the sky knew too. The night and its blanket of safety was closing in quickly on the two cats. Blue eyes flashed in the dying light.

Morningflood had never been to this part of the hidden caves, though she had gone to speak to StarClan as an apprentice and was well aware where they were. She waited for Birchstar, and then quickly scrabbled her way up the rocky incline, shaking out her coat in irritation once she reached the top. Her eyes immediately widened at the sight of the sky, full of wonder and looking like a kit again for a heartbeat.

When Birchstar spoke, she was shaken out of her thoughts and into the present, drawn in closer by what felt like fate but she knew was her own choice. The former leader - murderer - was sitting near the cliff edge. She inched closer.

With no sound of pain or anger or any emotion, she silently shoved her weight into the old cat as hard as she could. She watched carefully, knowing she was doing the right thing, the safe thing, even though it made her heart twist to kill a cat. She whisked away, not letting herself glance backwards, and padded lightly down the rocky slope, fur unruffled but eyes alight with triumph.

The ghost melted back into the forest just as the warriors of StarClan appeared in the sky to meet their new Clanmate.

      ROBINSONG
      ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
      [ female ] [ thirty moons ] [ has a crush on Ravenclaw ] [ warrior ] [ tagged with Ravenclaw ]

Robinsong beamed at Ravenclaw as he purred and beckoned for her to follow him. She watched him walk away for a few seconds before she snapped out of her daze, bounding forward quickly to catch up with him and walk side by side. As they pushed their way through the camp entrance, Robinsong gazed around at the scenery as it was bathed in warm, red and gold light. She felt awed at the colours; it didn't matter how many times she'd seen it, the sight would always amaze her.

She felt content and relaxed walking with Ravenclaw, laughing and talking with him felt like a second nature to her. She listened to the crickets sing their songs and the birds flutter above their heads, looking upwards at the canopy before looking back at Ravenclaw with warm green eyes. He looked to be just as happy as she was, and that made her, if possible, beam brighter.

She listened as he passionately talked about his training with Larkpaw, her tail swishing across the ground in interest and her ears angled towards him. She never had an apprentice of her own, but listening to Ravenclaw tell her how amazing his apprentice trains and works towards becoming a warrior was all she needed. That's when she heard the low gurgling of the stream, and tilted her head to the side slightly. Where were they going?

When Ravenclaw gestured for her to sit down, she gratefully bounced towards the spot, sitting down and wrapping her tail around her paws, getting comfortable. She admired the way the setting sun beamed upon the rocks, giving them a gentle flow, then she looked outwards, watching the sun set and make the sky a beautiful crimson colour. She turned back towards Ravenclaw's gaze when she heard him sit down and take in a shaky breath. She cocked her head to the side a little, offering him a comforting smile. Did this place make him nervous?

Then he started speaking, and she realized that it wasn't the river that made him nervous, but this moment that he had planned with her. She listened to his words, and felt her face heating up under her fur, her expression one of surprise and wonder as the sentences flew from his mouth. When he finished, she stared right into his eyes, shocked into silence. It took a moment for her to fully process what he had said, but when she did, she was just smiling.

"Oh, Ravenclaw! I.. I had no idea you felt the same.. I love you too, and nothing in the world would make me happier than being with you." She said, getting to her paws and moving towards him, nuzzling her nose into his cheek. She sat down close him, purrs shaking her whole body "I can't believe this is real.. I've loved you for so long, but I thought I would never get the chance to actually tell you how I felt" she said, resting her head against his shoulder as she gazed out at the sun, shining and beautiful.

      GULLNOSE
      ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
      [ male ] [ thirty-one moons ] [ no crush ] [ warrior ] [ tagged with Hawkstep ]

After his hunting with Slightpaw and Chestnutfall, Gullnose had padded into camp with a blackbird and a mouse within his jaws. He had bid farewell to the mollies, then walked over to the fresh-kill pile and dropped his catches down. He sat down and groomed his pelt, before trotting over to a shaded area and laying down to have a quick nap while the warmth of the day still buzzed in the air.

When he awoke, he felt groggy but content. He stretched and shook out his speckled fur, yawning widely, flexing his claws into the ground. He sat down and licked his paw, running it over his face to clean his whiskers and muzzle. With his cleaning done, he scanned the area, catching sight of Hawkstep sitting on her lonesome. He titled his head to the side a little, before getting to his paws and trotting over to them. He smiled upon his approach, dipping his head "Hello, Hawkstep. I was wondering if you wanted to come on patrol with me?" He asked, sitting down near her and flicking his tail back and forth in anticipation of her answer.

      WOLFRUNNER

Wolfrunner sniffed at the juniper berries he had wheedled out of a crook in the berry stores, wrinkling his nose at the rotton smell. The brushed them to the side with his bushy tail, moving on to a pile of horsetail. He sniffed thoughtfully, nodding and grunting to himself when he deemed them in good condition. He pushed all the herbs and berries that were good back into their stores, and nudged the bad ones onto a leave, pulling the leave into a safe spot where he could come back and dispose of them later.

When he heard Dawnlight's voice call out her arrival, Wolfrunner lifted his head, narrowing his eyes "Good." He said, getting to his paws and walking into his den to tidy some things before they left. When Dawnlight asked when they would be leaving, Wolfrunner backed out of his sleeping quarters and looked toward her "In a few moments. I wanted to put some more stuff away before we left, so do whatever you need to do before you leave, but make it fast" he said in his usual gruff voice.

Wolfrunner walked over to Sandtail, crouching down beside the tom and tilting his ear towards the toms mouth. He listened to the ginger's rugged breathing, and frowned, shaking his head "Didn't work." He mumbled, shuffling back over to the herb stores and pushing away whatever herbs he deemed unworthy of helping in this situation. He was trying to help Sandtail with his current ailment, but nothing was working. Wolfrunner sighed, closing his eyes and telling himself that he could always find answers in Starclan. Maybe they would help with this problem.
