Whitestar went a little ways out of camp. "Now, there's a mouse. A mouse will feel you coming first, so step lightly. Watch." Whitestar expertly pounced on the mouse and silently snapped its neck.

Jaywing looks around, blinking several times.

Echopaw opened his mouth, trying to scent prey.

"I smell fox, but it's faint, and-" Echopaw paused, sniffing the air again, "Starling,"

Jaywing padded over to Whitestar and Echopaw, watching them, bored.

"Good! Starlings will hear you first. Keep as silent and downwind as possible. Try it."

Jaywing watches in the shadows, trying not to be seen, heard, or smelled (practically impossible ;) ).

Echopaw crept through the grass, and, when he was close enough, pounced, missing it by a mouse length.

"Mouse dung!" He exclaimed.
