Cleo nodded,"Are you passing through or would you like to join my pride?" he asked calmly.

Otis rolled his eyes as the cubs ran off.

Tia yawned again, enjoying the view from the tree, she climbed higher.

Naava sniffed around, looking for Tia when she heard a noise from the tree above her. she looked up and...."TIA!" she yelped, "what are you doing in a tree??" Naava waited for her to come down so she could talk to her.

Xyli watched the exchange between Cleo and a strange lioness. she flicked her whiskers in curiosity. "what do you think of that?" she asked Otis and Jinx

Otis turned his head, "Probably that's what he smelt"

Tia looked down at the cubs, "What does it look like I'm doing?" she asked smiling.

Breeze snorted, "Do you know how to take care of a Pride?" she asked, showing her teeth slightly.

Jinx lifted her head and looked at Cleo and the new lioness. She yawned, bored, "It's none of our business Xyli.."

Naava shook her head and took a guess, "looking for danger?" she looked around, "can i talk to you for a sec, Tia? please?" she asked shyly


Xyli flicked her tail, annoyed at Jinx. why was she always telling her what was or was not her buisness? Jinx was the one who had walked up to Cleo at first, anyways! she snapped, "ok, Jinx, thanks for the input." she scowled at the ground.

Jinx flicked her ear, She looked back at Xyli. "Why don't you go see whats up anyway.. that lioness might come into our pride.." she mumbled.

Cleo rolled his eyes, "Obviously, I've been looking after the pride for years"

Tia frowned, then jumped neatly out of the tree, "What do you need to talk to me about?" she asked quietly.

Breeze flicked her tail. "Then I'll join your pride."

Xyli brightened. "you know, i think i will!" she bounded off to see.


"Well," Naava started, "Kobu and Yoni have been complaining for ages about how we should become apprentices, and to be honest," she looked up at Tia shyly, "i wouldn't mind it myself!" Naava's ear twitched in nervousness.
