Xyli caught up to Jinx, "Jinx, honestly, nothing good comes from these mangy flea-bags...just leave it alone!"

Jinx walked by the older male, her eyes scanning his body for any signs of hostility. She sat herself down in the dirt, water dripping from her pelt, Jinx tilted her head. "Whatcha doin?" she asked.

"Following a scent trail, and you?" Cleo raised his eyebrow at Jinx, clearly ignoring the other lionesses' attempt to annoy him.

Xyli decided to just play along with Jinx, "Oh nothing really," she said casually, "just enjoying the weather." she looked at Cleo innocently, "what type of scent trail?"

[Ollie.]

"I'm just seeing what you're doing." Jinx said to him, flicking her tail slightly, and looking at Xyli, then back to Cleo

Cleo nodded, "Doesn't matter" he said to the other female, he turned his head and sniffed the air again, trying to figure out what the scent was.

Xyli rolled her eyes at his answer, then she shook herself absentmindedly, trying to dry off, spraying water on both Jinx and Cleo, "whoops!" she said giggling, "sorry about that!" her white-gold pelt sticking up in awkward clumps.

Cleo rolled his eyes, paying hardly any attention to the female, he frowned and stood up again, then started walking after the scent.

Jinx lifted her brows at the older male. "He's not in our pride Xyli, he doesn't have to tell us what scent he's after." She slightly glared at Xyli for shaking water on them, then turned tail and started back down the border to the watering hole.

Xyli sighed, she knew he didnt have to, but what was the harm in asking? she stood and trotted away to a sunny spot, and started to lick her fur, trying to make it flat.
