Otis blinked, snapping himself out of his thoughts, "I think that it's strange he attacked you without provocation, and why would he hurt you? What's his motivation? It doesn't make sense" he answered truthfully. "I'm not saying I don't believe you, the scratches on your back are plain evidence that he did it, I'm just confused as to why" he finished, another small frown on his face.

Xyli had had a nagging thought about it since they came to the watering hole, she decided to share it now. "maybe...maybe he planned to do it all along." she said softly. she was thinking of how when she was a cub she had heard of traitors who changed to their enemies side and killed Sabers for no reason... was it possible Marco had been trying to kill her?

Jinx came out from under the water and swam around, flicking her ears now and then to get the water off of them.

Xyli giggled when Jinx came from the water, "you should have been named 'Fish!!' " Xyli teased the soaking Jinx

Otis frowned and shook his head, "I don't know" he muttered, "Marco has always been loyal, I don't see why he'd turn against a cat from his own pride" he muttered.

Jinx stuck her tongue out and kept swimming. "Fish? My name? Impossible." she laughed.

"i dont know, Jinx?"she laughed, "i thnk i see some scales growing on your legs!!" she laughed.


Xyli turned away from Jinx to talk to Otis, "I dont understand it either," she said somberly, " all i know is that Marco attacked me, for NO reason, and to me that is betrayal." Xyli might have been slightly bias, but what she said, she said honestly.

Jinx pouted and brought one of her legs up and looked at it, she gave Xyli a playful side-glare.

as she was talking to Otis, Xili's tail flicked out at Jinx, spraying her face in water. Xyli half smiled.

Otis nodded, "I think we should wait until we see Marco to get his side of the story" he said quietly.
