Serenity sighed, looking away from Otis. "Yeah, I'm not feeling so great, either..." she replied. She wondered if he too was thinking about the problem that Xyil had now become. Even though she had tried not to show it, Serenity had noticed how Xyil had just made a show in moving far away from her, but thought it was just best to ignore her. If she wanted to play childish games, Serenity would stay far away from her.
"I...felt that I had no choice," Jade began quietly. "Wind was clearly going to die, and I don't even know how he made it over to their territory in the first place. I tried to help him myself, but I'm no medicine lion, and I couldn't just sit back and do nothing. I did what I had to, even though it was wrong and caused a lot of trouble." She looked up at Cleo, grateful that he had been so understanding.
The two hyenas continued their hunt, intent on the cubs that took no notice of them. Ari batted his sister back, laughing as he answered her, "I won fairly and you know it!" He continued to play-fight, enjoying the time they had together away from their parents. The hyenas had entered Kalar territory.
