FireFeather was slightly in shock from hearing a kit tell his leader that he was in the wrong before running off. Why did BreamKit think it was him? He had been legitimately the last cat to know, and that was just because his leader sent him out on a patrol! He felt a grief wash over him. He had hoped that BreamKit would grow up to be his own apprentice, but he knew that wouldn’t be possible now.
He sighed and just sat down, wrapping his tail around his paws. Shock was still settling in from the entirety of what was happening, but he still felt his body trembling.

Jadestar inhaled sharply. She didn't know what to tell the kit. She hadn't punished the tom because her gut told her he was innocent. Riverclan was small, any warriors they could not lose was a step in the right direction. She focused her blind gaze towards firedfeather. Plus, the tom had been there for her since she was young and encouraged her a lot when she became deputy. She sat down at the outside of her den, breamkit obviously wanted to be alone. "Breamkit.. I'm sorry you've lost your parents. I've lost cats important to me too.." Her eyes bore a pain that she kept co cealed as she spoke "but fire feather is one of the most loyal warriors river clan has. And if I had any feeling he could have hurt them i would have dine something.about it already. I know you're mad, but as your leader, and your family, I hope you believe me when I say that." She exhaled softly and rubbed her head slowly on the dens rim.

Breezefire could hear scrambling when she woke up. Strangely, there was no one in camp, but there were still shouts, coming from the thunderpath. Lavender was getting harder to find, so the she-cat dearly hoped it wasn't another murder. Turns out, she was wrong.

xxxpigeonpaw's whiskers twitched a little as she watched the cats begin to seperate, breath hitching in her throat, tail twitching a little. "shouldn't we- y-y'know, go get hollowtree's body? we can't leave him out there-" the molly cleared her throats to hide the choke behind it, her haunches dropping her into a temporary sitting position.

Upon the discovery of Hollowtree's body, chaos spread through the camp. Cats were scrambling to find out who could have brought these deaths to the Clan, and those with suspicions voiced them clearly.

The younger cats started yowling, glaring at Firefeather from wherever they stood. "It's all your fault, it's all your fault," Breamkit had screeched, clawing at the reeds that held the nursery together.

"Hey-- everybody, listen up!" Jadestar called out to the anxious Clan. "We need to do something about this, and fast. Anybody have any ideas?"

Onyxpaw stepped up from where she had been sitting previously to comfort Breamkit. "I think Firefeather did it. We need to get rid of him."

Several cats began to murmur in agreement, with the kit stepping out of the nursery to stand closer to the apprentice. "He killed Momma, and he killed Da too! He shouldn't be here anymore!"

The leader's ears flattened against her head as she watched more cats start to step up and agree with Onyxpaw.

"Well, I think it was Onyxpaw," Firefeather meowed, sending a wary glance at the apprentice. "It's not right to just cast suspicion on someone else like that. Perhaps she's trying to throw us off by saying it was me."

Jadestar nodded, agreeing with the tom, but most of the other cats started to growl and lash their tails.

"We can't keep a killer like him here!"

"Why is she defending him?"

"Exile! Exile!"

The leader took a step back anxiously, ears swiveling to keep track of all of what everyone was saying. "RiverClan! Please!" she yowled, twining her tail with the warrior's. "I say Firefeather was innocent. But if it's truly what you want..."

Before she could finish, cats were cheering with meows of celebration. "Hold on!" she interrupted them, tail-tip twitching in frustration. "If you want him to go, I'm coming with him."

For a moment, the camp was silent. In a heartbeat, cats were yelling out in confusion, shouts of anger and agreement and despair.

"If she's allied with him, she deserves to be exiled too!"

"Wait... what?"

"Yeah! Get out of here, both of you!"

Jadestar dipped her head to all of the chanting cats, inching herself closer to Firefeather. "I acknowledge your wishes, and for that we will leave."

Firefeather was standing by her side in shock. "You mean... we're-- we're leaving? And not coming back?"

The leader nodded, beckoning him as she padded to the camp's exit. Firefeather flinched reluctantly, but upon seeing everyone's snarls, he quickly followed her.

Pigeonpaw and Onyxpaw raced behind the two to make sure that they were driven out of RiverClan territory. Jadestar and Firefeather fled swiftly, eventually settling down in an old rabbit's nest in WindClan territory to live out the rest of their lives away from RiverClan.

RiverClan, you've exiled a pair of loyal cats.
Due to Jadestar's exile, Lavenderscent has been appointed as leader.
Onyxpaw and Pigeonpaw have been made warriors to make up for the loss.

((Caught FireFeathers... surprise, very well. He wouldn’t be a fighter, so I’m glad he left peacefully. Maybe he’ll be happier with JadeStar. Can’t wait to figure out who the killer is, but I have my guesses on who both witness and guard is. Good luck Clan!))
