She said," my mother is missing...." Her eyes filled with tears. "I can't lose my mom.... " She whimpered

FireFeather sighed. He had hoped his son hadn’t been the killer. How could he be? He was so good. Sadly, this meant nothing in a murderous situation.
“Perhaps she took a walk?” He tried to sound hopeful no matter how bleak he felt. “Not really enough warriors right now for proper border patrols, so she could have went to set markers by herself.”

She looked at him. "Can we go look for her?" She asked. "I'm just so worried after....." She stopped before mentioning her dead clanmates names. "I'd truly feel better knowing that she was alive and well and on a border patrol." She shivered thinking of Clovermask's body when it was found. Could she bear seeing her mother like that? Or even her sister? "My sister would be able to track her...." She said

FireFeather looked at his sister, giving her a curt nod before looking back to EmeraldEye. “I’ll help you find her. Where is she most likely to be, do you know?”
FireFeather began to stand up, taking a few paces toward the exit of the camp, while still looking over his shoulder at the two cats.

She said,"usually frostedstar would patrol the thunder clan border. We might run into skywhisper on the way there if she isn't in her den. " She padded up beside Firefeather.

FireFeather nodded. “That’s a good place to start then. Lead the way, EmeraldEye.” He figured the she-cat would know more about her mother’s whereabouts than he would know.

She nodded and trotted out of camp. She scented the air. "I smell a stale scent," she murmured unsure. She trotted following the scent which seemed to go toward thunder clan until the river.

FireFeather followed EmeraldEye closely, only breaking off when they reached the ThunderClan border. He could smell a wide array of things- herbs, ThunderClan cats, herbs, water, and blood. His paws shook slightly at the smell that had filled his nights with nightmares recently. He crouched, inching forward to where the body of their medicine cat laid.
“E-EmeraldEye! SkyWhisper is over here!”
