Brightfire opened one eye, still exhausted. Sge had veen awoken by the argument outside and it took a lot for her to not grumble about it. She simply curled up tighter in her nest and tried to steal a few more minutes of sleep

"You can't really disobey the...the leader of the clan...I didn't just do it for us, I did it for the clan." He reminds her, his eyes filled with sadness at his mistake. She was right. She had of been innocent...there wasn't even anything that seemed wrong with Budgiepaw either...maybe the clan was wrong...His fur spiked at the idea of something still looming in the clan, but tried to shake it off. Skyheart first.

"I loved you Sparrowdusk, I opened my heart to you and you broke it....so has everyone else. Now I learned I can't trust anyone or love anymore......that might even include you. We were happy Sparrowdusk.....We had two lovely kits that were apprentices, each other, and a strong bond...but you have destroyed it and our family...."

Skyheart sighed and looked away, clearly not wanting anymore discussion unless he promoted it.

Blossomsong stretched yawning. Hearing the argument between the two warriors and not wanting to eavesdrop, she got up and went to see if anyone was organizing a patrol.

Sunsoar internally winced. He'd been neglecting his duties as a medicine cat, hadn't he? The constant sighing from Skyheart seemed to make that clear enough. Every time he heard the noise he felt like he failed her. It sounded like it could be leading to a breathing problem. She seemed to be in the middle of an important conversation, but...yeah, no. He couldn't keep pushing this aside. The tabby tomcat made his way over to the shecat, tapping her shoulder gently with his tail. "Skyheart, every time I see you, you're sighing. Is your breathing alright? Could I offer you some juniper berries perhaps? Or even coltsfoot. Heck, if it's bad, I could break out the catmint." His tone was slightly fretful, and his offerings a bit much for a simple rasp of the throat, but Sunsoar felt like he needed to make up for not doing his job.

Skyheart looked at Sunsoar, her sad light blue eyes looking at him. "No Sunsoar…..I don't need them." Skyheart's throat was perfectly fine, she was just upset and a bit depressed. She gazed and looked at the ground, then back up at Sunsoar.

Duskflower woke up to the sound of Goldenkit mewling, though she loved her kits dearly already the mewling was starting to get under her fur, she sighed and started trying to calmly hush her kit "hush little one" she would mew to him knowing he understood her, when that didn't work and he eventually woke up his sisters Duskflower was almost done, and about to let him just suckle even if he mewled.

He twitched his whiskers. "Oh, alright. Err...if it does bother you, let me know." Sunsoar nodded once, and turned to go, then rapidly spun around. "Actually, can I listen to your lungs, please? It's not that I don't trust you, it's just, you can never, uh, be too careful with breathing things..." his second sentence was added on a bit hastily.

Skyheart stood back. "I said I'm fine......I'm fine...." Skyheart's eyes softened and her eyes became watery. She looked back up at him. "Alright....I guess...." Skyheart sat down and just looked at the ground, not saying a word. Her claws unsheathed for a second from her frustration, but they quickly sheathed again and she wiped a tear off with her tail.

Sunsoar's gaze rounded at the sadness radiating from the shecat. How had he missed this? She was hurting, but not in her throat. In her heart. He sat down next to her, crouching so he could look into her eyes. "Skyheart, do you want to talk about it? Or I could bring you some thyme and poppy seeds, to help you calm down and get rest."
