He left the warriors den and eyed the clearing. He looked to see bramblestar. He sighed. He hurt. He wanted to see Jadestar again. He just couldn't believe she was gone. He padded over to bramblestar. "Do you miss her too?" He asked

When FireFeather woke up, he left the clearing. He found his mate, and new leader, very quickly. It seemed that being the leader made you popular. He smiled to himself, trying to find some light in the dark situation that had occurred only days before. It didn’t work too well though, as he felt his body shake when he looked at JadeStars old den. She hasn’t deserved the fate that came to her. She was so good to the whole Clan.

As both cats approached her, Bramblestar gave a slight sigh. It seemed everyone was awake, besides Onyxpaw and Breezefire. "Good morning, Froststep. I don't suppose you could get a patrol going?" She asked with disinterest. Without waiting for a response, she turned to Blastclaws. She nodded, and glanced behind her shoulder. "That den is lonely. It still smells like her, but the floors... I don't know how I can sleep in there," Bramblestar admitted to her brother. Worry crept through the she-cat's skin, as she wasn't sure if she was ready to really be leader.

Not wanting to interrupt the moment between the two littermates, Froststep backed off with a nod. She turned to her mate, who had approached while she wasn't looking. "Hi, Firefeather," she greeted, though not as cheerily as she had spoken to Bramblestar. "Want to go out hunting? You can take Onyxpaw and..." Holding her tongue for
a moment, she looked out onto the small group of cats. "And I'll come, too.

FireFeather turned to FrostStep when the she-cat addressd him. “Good morning. Or, at least, just morning.” He followed her gaze as she looked at what the Clan had been dwindled down to. “Sounds good. Hunting will hopefully boost morale, right?” He looked at his paws and sighed. “Even if not... we can’t let the Clan starve. I’ll go get OnyxPaw, she’s probably still trying to sleep.”
He turned around, walking into the apprentice den. He looked around but found no one. He felt his anxiety rise. Where was his kit? He walked back out, looking at FrostStep and then to BrambleStar.
“Where is OnyxPaw?” His breathing was a bit quicker than normal, and he just had to hope she was okay. He knew panicking wasn’t the best plan of action, but honestly, he was afraid.
