Silently shocked someone noticed her at all, she looked up at the warrior and in her calmest voice, she masked her slightest sense of surprise saying "Trouble sleeping, in case you didn't know... always was a night owl," she mentioned it in a matter-of-fact tone. "Just keeping watch of the others, too, I suppose," Moonpaw added quickly in case the first reason wasn't enough for Wolfleap.

It was time. Gingerly picking herself up, she headed over to Ashpelt's den.
"Ashpelt?" she called. "It's time."
Ducking out, she headed out, giving Snowstar's body one last sorrowful glance, before, along with Ashpelt, headed out of camp.
I'll see Snowstar very soon.
Nerves were tingling everywhere as they headed towards the Moonstone, and Ravensong couldn't help but shudder.
After padding along for quite some time, they reached the cave entrance, a gaping, dark hole. Bracing herself, she headed in, quietly walking and occasionally sniffing the air.
"Are we nearly there-"
As she spoke, the dark cavern suddenly lit up as the stone in front of her blazed to life under the bright moonlight. Speechless, Ravensong looked at it in wonder, and as if it was a magnet, she was drawn towards it. Barely hearing Ashpelt's instructions to lie down and touch it with her nose, she was already closing her eyes.

Where was she? Looking around, she called for Ashpelt. Was she in Starclan? She was standing in a flat stretch of land, and in the distance, she could see a forest. Suddenly, something whizzed by her. Starting in surprise, she whirled around, only to see a cat come hurtling at her full-speed. Eyes widening in surprise, she quickly side-stepped, only hearing a muttered 'mouse-dung!' before the cat raced by her.
Was this Starclan?
"Ravensong."
Snowstar?
Turning around, she came face to face with the snowy bengal, eyes widening in shock.
"S-snowstar?"
The leader looked healthy, bright and young, her fur was clean, and she could see muscles rippling.
"Welcome to Starclan, Ravensong."
And then, she saw them.
"Mother? Father? Brother?"
"We are so, so proud of you, Ravensong."
she could almost feel their warmth as they gazed at her, smiling with tails entwined.
More cats began to appear, but Ravensong didn't notice, for Snowstar stepped forwards, before touching her nose, bolts of pain instantly coursing through her body as Ravensong gritted her teeth.
"With this life, I give you confidence. Use it well to lead your clanmates, Ravensong. Be confident in your decisions."
The leader stepped away, before her mother stepped in front of her.
"Nightbreeze...."
"'m so proud of you, Ravensong. We're so proud of you..."
"Mother..."
"With this life, I give you resilience. Use it well for difficult situations, may you stand straight and tall no matter what." she murmured, as she touched nose with Ravensong, another sharp stab of pain going through her body as she dug her claws in. She could only watch as her mother padded away, only to have her place taken by her father.
"I couldn't have asked for a better daughter...With this life, I give you certainty. Use it well to guide your clanmates, and know that whatever you do, I believe it'll always be for the best of the clan."
She held in a wail, as they touched nose, and her father walked away. Her brother stepped forwards, his eyes glowing with pride and warmth.
"It was so heartbreaking to see you when you were young, sis, but it's good to see that you've picked yourself up. With this life, I give you faith. Have faith in Starclan, and have faith in your clanmates." she closed her eyes from the pain as she clenched her jaw. Another cat took her brother's place.
"Sorrelpaw..." Sorrelpaw was her best friend, before she drowned, slipping and falling through cracked ice.
"With this life, I give you sympathy and understanding. Use it well to guide your clanmates, and no matter what decision they make, use it well to understand them and their hardships." it wasn't as painful before, since she had seemed to get used to it, but she could feel a sense of warmth spread through her before Sorrelpaw padded away. This time, a black and white cat padded forwards. Yang was a loner who she had saved once.
"Yang! Why are you in Starclan? Are you dead-"
"With this life, I give you strength to act without fear or judgement, like how you didn't care when you saved me, and cared for me, despite what your clanmates said. Use it well to lead your clanmates." she could feel energy run through her body as she stood up taller, lifting her head. Three more to go. this time, a tortoiseshell she-cat stepped forwards. Wildflower was an elder when she died peacefully, and had acted as somewhat of a mother figure to her. I front of her, stood a bright, beautiful young cat, nothing like the raged bunch of bones she had been when she died.
"Wildflower, I-"
"With this life, I give you love. Love every single of your clanmates as if they were your own. As if they were your kits." she murmured, and Ravensong felt a warm trail seep through her body, before Wildflower padded away with a flick of her tail. A brown tabby tom padded forwards.
"Brackenleap..." he had been the one to stick by her side throughout her grieving.
"With this life, I give you acceptance Accept those who have different wishes to yours, and accept those who have different needs." Another bolt of pain, but this time, she stood tall. Finally, an elegant silver tabby stepped forwards.
"I am Echoflight, the previous medicine cat. With this life, I give you wisdom. Use it well to decide on the best course of action." She could feel something surge within her as a heavy weight slowly started to swirl around. Snowstar stepped forwards again.
"I hail you by your new name, Ravenstar. Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a leader, and StarClan grants you the guardianship of EclipseClan. Defend it well; care for young and old; honour your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code; live each life with pride and dignity." and with that, they all tipped back their heads as they all began to chant "Ravenstar! Ravenstar! Ravenstar!"
She felt herself begin to sway, before everything started to fade. The last thing she saw, was all nine cats lined up, smiling at her before blackness overcame her.

Blinking open her blue eyes, she stood up slowly, before gingerly stretching. Turning around to face Ashpelt, she smiled, before flicking her tail.
"Come on. Let's go home."

Creekpaw

Creekpaw pushed out her hind paw. It fell into Ashpelt’s nest. It was still warm but there was no breathing lump of fluff. She lifted her head then remembered. He had gone with Ravensong. She sighed and rolled over in her nest, her back facing the enterance of the medicine den. She fell back asleep, trying to avoid the daylight that nipped at her back for as long as possible.

Elmwind

Elmwind opened his eyes. Noticing Ravensong wasn’t in her nest a spark of worry grew within him. ‘She can’t still be out there.’ He thought worried ‘She could get sick.’ He exited the den, picking his way through his Clanmates, careful not to disturb them. Entering the camp, he didn’t see the She-cat. ‘She must have gone to get her nine lives.’ He realized, understanding flooding over him. He sat down and waited, smile on his face. He wanted to be one of the first to greet his new leader.

Moonpaw swiveled around the nests of other apprentices, silently tip-toeing outside into the filtered sunlight. She made her way hesitantly towards the leaders' way, rethinking what she was about to say. You can't be both..just choose one she argued with herself. face it, you weren't and probably not the best for this position. a warrior? you trip over your own tail when you stand.. she paused. I can learn..after all, you already know a bit... Moonpaw shooked her head in frustration. you know very well it means treating and socializing with cats, too.. Moonpaw grunted. I just can't see myself do anything. maybe I'm not meant to do anything. but starclan could not have said that to me for nothing? I also hope Swanflake doesn't take this personally... Moonpaw hobbled down the sloped dirt path, flicking away small stones that were by her. She stood stiff as a tree by the leaders' chest, and inhaled then half-whispered. "Ravenstar..I want to be a Medicine cat apprentice..."

"I understand, Moonpaw. However, let's wait until we get back to camp. I will discuss this with you, Creekpaw, Ashpelt and Swanflake later after a clan gathering. A new deputy must also be appointed before sundown." she murmured, before flicking her tail, straightening up, and padded back towards camp

Stirring slightly, he opened his eyes. Shifting up, into a sitting position. Slowly padding out into the open, he briefly closed his eyes to enjoy the warmth of the sun on his pelt, before starting giving himself a brief groom. Looking around for Ravensong, he was a little worried when he didn't see her, but then remembered how she would've gone to get her nine lives. Looking around the still-sleeping camp, he noticed Elmwind, before he padded over.
"Good morning," he mewed, sitting down beside the tom. "What are you doing up this early? Our clanmates haven't even woken up yet."

Cocking her head in amusement when she saw his whiskers twitch, she let out a quiet "mrow" of amusement. It seemed that Winterpine had already woken as well, for he was in his next, quietly grooming himself. With a small sigh, she picked herself up, before heading to the entrance of the den.

She pushed herself out of her nest, it was even messier than last night. Yawning, Icefang dragged herself out of her nest. At this point, her nest was basically non-existent. Icefang was about to scrape it together, but stopped.

"Why do I even bother anymore?" she yowled, and burst out of the den in a bad mood.

She slept deeply, dreaming of angry cats chasing her.

ShrikeFeather awoke blinking slowly she rose from her nest quietly. Padding out of the den she watched as the faint outlines of cats approaching camp in the distance. Most possibly RavenStar and a few others who might have met with her new leader. She padded back into the warriors den deciding against heading out into the forest. She turned her gaze on the cats remaining to see if any might be awake to speak with. She noted a few but her attention fell on Winterpine. Maybe I could have a decent conversation with him for the time being? she padded forward and greeted Winterpine promptly "Good Morning WinterPine. Sleep well?" She asked her head tilted slightly as she seated herself her tail curling around her white paws. Perking her ears forward awaiting a response.

Awakening with a start his dream left murmurs of turmoil in his blood and he stood hastily shaking scraps of moss from his pelt before leaving the den at a brisk trot his composure must not be broken. Head high he watched the other cats before taking a small mouse from the Fresh Kill pile. He padded silently over to a rather shady area and seated himself taking a couple small bites of the mouse his gaze watching the other cats.

The tom awoke his silver pelt covered in stray leaves, bits of grass, and dirt he lay sprawled out under the shade of a rather large fern. It's dew sprinkled the tom's nose causing him to sneeze. He shook his pelt free of the muck and lazily blinked a couple times. Yawning he noted his surroundings. The night before he had decided heading to camp at that time of night would be silly and he needed some time alone anyway. So he had taken refuge under fern he now sat under. His bushy tail swept over the lightly misted grass and he prodded some damp moss with one white paw not quite ready to return to camp.
