- boulderpaw stood up, stretching out his limber legs as he woke up late... again. he'd been having strange dreams recently and they either made him wake up in the middle of the night and not be able to go back to sleep or make him sleep through the whole morning. he looked outside to see his sister, lilypaw, chasing a butterfly and sighed softly, shaking his head. she's so kittish. doesn't she understand we have to act grown-up or they won't see us fit to become warriors? he thought to himself.
lilypaw had woken up early that morning and in turn, didn't have much to do. while her brother was still asleep, she had crawled over his stretched out, sleeping body and padded out of the apprentice's den quietly, stumbling into the center of the camp. finally she found a distraction in a small, colorful butterfly that she proceeded to chase through the camp, struggling to catch it as it's wings fluttered across the sky.
turtlesong yawned and stretched, the permanent queen shaking out her long, tufted calico fur. she purred lightly as she looked outside to see her daughter running about chasing a butterfly and watched as her son came tumbling out of the apprentice's den, late, for the third time that week. she rolled her eyes playfully. she couldn't remember loving anything more than she loved her kits.
stormingmoon looked around, clearly unamused by the amount of activity... or rather, lack of it. nobody was talking to him and it was growing quite bothersome. he was used to having a lot of attention and the amount he was receiving was strange because he wasn't used to being ignored. he growled lowly to himself and sat down with a thump.
goldenspark was still asleep in the warriors' den when he felt something hit him in the side- hard. the breath was knocked out of him as what felt like a paw hit him square in the ribs. he wheezed lightly, sitting up, to see his mystery attacker was no more than his quiet sister, sunflower, who was wide-eyed and scared-looking, trying to get out of the warriors' den that morning. she apologized and he gave her a quiet lick on the ear.
sunflower looked up as streams of sunlight pressed through the den entrance. she yawned, stretching quietly, and stood up, shaking out her long fur, which made it poof out. she quickly groomed it, blushing lightly from embarrassment. sunflower tried to step over her bother but accidentally kicked him right in the side, causing him to wake up abruptly and give her a greeting lick on the ear. she apologized multiple times and padded outside, looking around as cats adjusted to the morning.
