Nightfoot

Nightfoot continued to wait near the fresh kill pile for a moment, eyes scanning around the camp for something to do. It was a rather calm day today it seemed, with the gentle breeze rolling through and beams of sun providing a pleasant warmth that completed the serenity of it all. Had he not already been serving his duties, it would be nice to laze around a bit and enjoy the warmth. But with him being the antsy cat that he was, he couldn't bring himself to just relax after so many other cats had already gotten started with their days. He looked over in the direction of the warrior's den to see if everyone had woken up yet, and noticed Scatterslash walking out. He gave her a minute to do what she needed to do before approaching, giving a friendly chirp. "Good morning Scatterslash! Anything I could help you with?" Sure, it wasn't the best way to start a conversation, but it was better than just awkwardly staring or something.Firestrike

Firestrike stifled a snicker at Woodenpaw's comment, not wanting to seem rude but not quite managing to hide his amusement either. "I'm fine, it's just a scratch," He said to Woodenpaw upon having his wound questioned."I'd like to try and catch the darned thing, but I have a feeling that isn't going to be too easy with too many scents around," He explained, sniffing the air once again to try and find a trace of it. Once again he couldn't pick out a definite direction, but snapped around when he detected some movement in the bushes not too far from the two. He once again caught a glance of its striped tail, and with a smirk began sneaking towards it again. There was no way it would get away this time!
"Nevermind not being able to find it, it just gave itself away!" He said in amusement. Once he was certain that he wouldn't miss again, Firestrike took a leap at the raccoon once again, and came down hard on its back. He honestly wasn't too sure what he expected to happen since it was only a bit smaller than he was, but the two came tumbling out of the bush and into a more open area. The raccoon hissed and threw the cat off its back, but Firestrike recovered in a roll and swatted at its face, only missing because his target dodged. However, the raccoon decided to take its attacker off guard, charging at him rather than attempting to flee again and scratching at his shoulder and chest when the cat was knocked over. While the hits landed and were scratched in rather deep, he wasn't actually pinned down by the creature and got back to his feet, hissing and ignoring the pain from the hit. Fortunately, the raccoon decided fighting him wasn't worth it, and it made a sprint towards twolegplace to escape. Firestrike was tempted to give chase again, but there was no way he was risking going near the thunderpath. He had seen how ruthless the monsters that occasionally crossed it were.
Panting once again, the warrior turned back in his apprentice's direction. "Forgot how tough these things could be. We're actually lucky this one ran away," He admitted, realizing how much danger he could have gotten them into and looking away guiltily. As he prepared to go back through the bush, he realized that he and Woodenpaw weren't the only ones there. There was another cat not too far away from the bush he was currently standing in front of, a calico cat with long fur. He looked at her with another awkward glance, but remained quiet. Was she a threat who would take advantage of his weakened state? Or was she just a kittypet who would run away after possibly witnessing the tussle? Either way, he watched warily, though kept a peaceful stance.(Woah, that was a lot longer than I meant to make it)Mossclan

After enjoying the sunlight for a couple more minutes, Poppyfern decided to actually make herself useful. She got back up to her feet and took a better look around the camp. Nothing much was happening at the moment, so she went over towards the warrior's den and met eyes with Rosetail, one of the other warriors. She took a seat next to her, before softly asking, "Need anything?" There was nothing else worth talking about at the moment other than the weather, but if she had to be honest with herself it was rather obvious what the weather was currently like.Honeypaw

Honeypaw rolled around in her nest, not completely awake yet but not exactly asleep yet either. Her tail twitched as she thought back to the last couple weeks, the stiffness in her joints reminding her of her new position in the clan. She had just recently come out of the nursery, and oh boy did being an apprentice feel great! She actually got to leave the nursery and talk to the other cats in the clan, and she was learning to hunt on her own! A smile crossed her face as she thought about training again, wondering what her mentor would decide on today. ((I'll just keep her here until she gets a mentor assigned))No Clan
Axl

Axl slunk around the corner of a building, eyes locked on an unsuspecting mouse. One of the twoleg houses around was known to have a pest problem, and the cats of the neighborhood often went there for food since the "clans" had taken over a lot of the forests. Sure, some of the twolegs also left kittypet food out for them on occasion, but they were crazy if they thought he'd eat that tasteless dirt. He was hungry, but not desperate!
His mouth watered at the though of having a mouse all to himself. A lot of times he would share with some of the loners who didn't know how to hunt for themselves, or a kittypet who had gotten locked out of their home by mistake, but there was none of that today. He was all alone, and for once that was a good thing. He dropped down into a crouch and snuck over to the unsuspecting rodent. However, right before he pounced, a monster raced by and the mouse turned around. It seemed to stare in shock for a moment before it made a dash for a gap under the twoleg's front door. He let out a quick growl, before making a sprint after the tiny creature. "Oh no you don't! I am not letting a monster ruin my breakfast!" He caught up to the mouse in the nick of time, slamming a paw in front of its face and scooping it back in his direction. The mouse didn't have a chance to think about another escape route as the cat bit down around its neck, ending its life in a moment. It was about time he caught the pest!
As he enjoyed his catch, he kept an ear out for any other cats who may be around. He wasn't exactly worried about being ambushed or attacked, but being a spy for most of your life could have an effect on a person.
