Freezepaw fell asleep and she woke up in the Dark Forest. She looked around for Winterleaf, her mentor. "Winterleaf!"

Winterleaf came out of the darkness. "Hello, my dear apprentice."

Aspenpaw's head was bent as she coughed, unknowing Icepaw was out of view, listening to her. She ran over to find Riverpaw.

Riverpaw pushed the remains of the mouse away. "Thanks, Ravenpaw." She bounded over to her sister. "Hey."

Icepaw's eyes were worried. "I think Aspenpaw's getting worse." Icepaw winced when she heard the coughing coming from Aspenpaw.

Riverpaw sighed. "I hope she gets better."

When Freezepaw woke up, she had scratches all over her.

Icepaw nodded, then padded into the apprentice den, lookng for Freezepaw. Her eyes widened as she saw that her ister's fur had scratches all along it. "Freezepaw! Your hurt!"

Aspenpaw coughed once more, a slightly weaker cough as she gasped for breath.

Aspenpaw laid her head down as the coughing stopped, closing her eyes.
